What's the point to have something in place where points continue to rise after each death? Isn't having to kill someone before spawning enough?
 
Huehuehue. First proper RB kill with P-38E. A Yak-3 or something like that was doing vertical loops while fighting with a Spitfire in the clouds, he never saw me coming. Gotta love weaponry that is concentrated in the nose of the plane! :D Then again, he was on the apex of his loop, no speed to manouver, so it was kind of mean.. but in love and war thunder, almost everything goes.

What do you mean it was kind of mean. Those moments make me smile because they are just a very easy shot.
 
Just had an RB match on my Yak-3P in Berlin (USSR vs USA+UK) where I shot down two planes (Typhoon and Mustang), turned back home with ~50 shells remaining, and on the way, downed a Spitfire with the remaining ammo. When I reloaded and took off, there was only one Yak-9P left of my team and one P-51D of the enemies. But that last one was such a smart-ass...

We followed close, but he lured us to 4k altitude, then boom-zoomed my comrade turning him into ashes before I could react. He got away using his power advantage. Then he hit me and set me afire twice (!), but my plane didn't die. After the first fire, he started turning back close (thinking I'm done) in 400 m in front of me, and I opened fire, but missed. :mad: I guess, I just ran out of luck after 3 kills.

After the second fire, my pilot was still alive and controls working, but the engine screwed up. So I had nothing to do but to soft land on a street below. :D

I think I gotta learn some evasion techniques from a high-speed opponent...

Mustang is love, Mustang is life. :drool: (I have bad luck with mine though for some reason...)

Granted I want to try and get these Russian planes unlocked, they're extremely hard to bring down. I was flying the Yak-1 earlier and I was on fire for a ridiculous amount of long time and only bailed out because it seemed pointless. Then my Lagg-3-8 had a chunk of the right wing blown off with a hole next to it and half turned into swiss cheese, but I almost took out a Ki-43...I was just about able to keep up with him! Until I finally lost control.... :P
 
After flying the A-36 like it's a fighter plane, I think I'll give it a go with it's actual intended role as a ground attacker. Maybe I'll do better with that.
 
So, I finally got around to getting the new update downloaded and played a few arcade battles. Knocking myself out was fun! luckily the two times I did it I lived through the events. Planes seem to come apart a lot easier now too. I notice my plane is more likely to fall apart than just catch fire now, and one or two good hits from a cannon seems to take most things in tier 2 down. The definitely changed the dynamic of the game, I may start a tier 1 Japanese line up
 
The new pilot blackout is interesting. Had it happen while flying a P-47 over Berlin. A Yak-9 was chasing me during this. I was flying almost straight and level the entire time the pilot had no control as I was just about to pull out of the maneuver when it happened. The Yak was about 200-300 meters behind me and did not hit me once. I did eventually get shot down, but not by that guy. I think if I was flying a B-29, he still wouldn't have landed any shots on target. That's how bad his aim was in a spot where he had full advantage over me.
 
Accurate shooting with controller is a pain in the ass. I need to get a mouse and kb..

When is the British tank tree going to debut? Really excited for things like the Matilda. :D

If it's anything like the US tank tree, the next patch.

1.39 brought the premium US tanks (I think.. it was just before I started playing), and 1.41 brought the first part of the tree in through CBT and then a slow public release for a few weeks after that.
 
That "Confrontation" event is a huge grind.
(sorry for the language, but I think you'll guess what these numbers mean :D)

So, I was playing some of the Enduring Confrontation last night and noticed the Ki-10s were really twitchy and the movements were causing my pilot to get close to blackout, forcing me to change and adjust into less ideal situations.
I just pulled the x52 out to see if this can be used to help with attack angles and the such. And with planes coming part a bit easier, maybe some of the mouser advantage has been removed.
 
I was playing it. Finally able to use the Japanese.

Went into the top tier game. Using jets.

That was unique. Trying to run to the airfield in an R2Y2 whilst not being caught. And waiting form my F86.
 
welp, it feels better now than before the patch, however, until I get VR, I'll be sticking with the mouse
 
Just 1 day and 5 hours left of my premium account. I gotta push the most out of this time!.. then leave WT for a while. :sick:
I did the halfway and even more to my first jet (キ200) during these two weeks, but I think I need a break. :yuck:
 
Did they make enduring confrontation payout better or does it still require spending a ridiculously long time in the battle to get any decent rewards?

I made about 4k in 20 minutes (3 planes) and I suck at this so...yeah it's decent. :p If you're a competent pilot (which I'm not really) and find the enemy it can pay well. I wish I'd joined these battles sooner.
