War Thunder (F2P Air/Ground combat MMO)

The assault fuses on the bombs makes bombing anything completely useless now. There's also something wrong with bomb mechanics as it's impossible to accurately bomb anything since the update.
They've acknowledged that the accuracy has gone to 🤬. But I think they'll keep the timers... 2 seconds at the max would be nice, but then again, a lot of bombs blew up even before impact...

I think it gives a handicap to tank players. A chance to run away if you pay attention to the sky. It was pissing me off in SB when my tank got bombed in the very beginning of the match and I couldn't evade it.

But for someone on a heavy tank who is busy fighting other tanks, 4.5 seconds would still be not enough to run away. Recently, I successfully bombed three ground targets on my B-25 (two T-34's fighting in the city and one lazy ZSU). However, it has a bomb sight so you can drop them accurately from higher altitude so 4.5 seconds pass before they fall.

I think the inaccuracy of bombs is.. *drumroll* accurate. Carpet bombing was invented for a reason..

The inaccuracy would make sense if the bombs were landing randomly, but instead of the center of the crosshair being where the bomb is going to drop, it's now halfway to the edge of the indicator.

I was wondering if I can get my first jet fighter within the 15 days of premium account. Aaaand... I did! Thanks to the Enduring Confrontaion mode... after a lot of time and sweat, I got it.

But I'm too tired to test it right now. My eyes are sore and head is turning square.
Will leave it for tomorrow.

It's a thing that shoots fire out the back isn't it? :sly:

Nicely done! :D

Well, I see a rocket plane.. where's the jet? :P
Huh, yeah...
Me-163 and the Ki-200 (or J8M) being its clone are rocket-powered planes. But still described as "jet" in the game.

Well, my first actual jet will probably be a MiG. I'll work on the Soviet tree now.

Confrontation is an awesome mode.

- It's not as nervous as normal RB (one mistake and it's all screwed, go home).
- Team actually plays as a team - fighters ask the bombers "hey, do you need escort?", bombers coordinate on the ground targets ("what's your load? Ok, you work on the field, I'll finish the base"), chat is full of the info about game situation, not just chit-chat. It's more tactical than a normal game, or at least players understand it better.
- There is a reason of taking bombs on a fighter.
- You can quit any time and get your payout immediately. And even join back if there's more than 5 minutes left to play.
- You don't have to wait 1-5 mins to join the next match after each death. (However, you'll have to wait for a certain type of plane to spawn on, and it's more than 1-5 mins :P)
- If you return to your airfield in one piece, you can change your plane for another (currently available), by simply bailing out while standing, and then get back on your previous one without having to pay for its respawn or waiting for respawn time.

Am I able to select what type of game modes I can play?

This sounds interesting.

It's an event currently going on. They say it's under testing. Then, it'll probably open in Events menu, like SB.

Uh, and you can only choose between Soviet and Japanese planes to play.

While it's under testing, it gives +50% XP so it grinds very well. I guess it won't be so when the test is over...

Ahh, seen it then.

I only have some US aircraft unlocked. I've got two German tanks left (non premium) in the tree to unlock. Maus, and Leopard, and I've gotten all of Tier II done in aircraft.

It goes all the way down to tier 1 if you select the right match.

I hate the new spotting system where enemies can just pop out of clouds without any prior warning to them being there.

Edit: Surely I must be doing something wrong with the P-38. I've not had this much trouble with it before. I mean, I'm climbing to altitude, then boom and zoom, but Japanese 20mm get one hit on me and the plane is toast.. quite literally, toast. :irked:

Must be made of the thinnest material or something. Every time I get hit, it's goodbye wing.

no no no no.... you got that all wrong...

Japanese 20mm eat P38s, and P38s eat 109s...

I've only killed 1 P38 out of the last ten that have gone head on with me. It's seriously ridiculous..

And on top of that, of being ridiculous, out of the last 100+ planes I've hit, I've only killed about 10 of them. I'm sick of team kill assists, when I get the first hit, the critical hits, and hit the wing, only for someone else to dive bomb and put one through the pilot... Absolutely pissed off at that.

Another thing.... Why can't I get the A26? I mean, it's ridiculous PS4 players can but I can't.

Going head on is usually a bad thing to do.

I don't have the A26. I guess it's one of the packs that I could purchase on the PS Store...

I just survived a match in the P-38... except I didn't find anyone to engage in the 15 minutes the match went on for.

I know it's usually bad thing to do, but in a 109 you really can't turn all that well, or climb, or get away from them any better..

I don't have that issue since I don't play a mode where everyone starts in the air, 6km apart.

Having absolutely no luck with this P-38G, and I only needed 840 points to get the rockets unlocked, which were apparently added in 1.53 because I had the plane spaded.

Edit: This game is complete BS for me right now. I just got sniped from 1.5km away by an IL-2M. My shots do nothing... everyone shooting me takes me down so quickly.
