There was a rumor that Stalin had tried to burn a LaGG-3 prototype with his tobacco pipe. I don't remember the end of this story, but I think when he had no luck with that, he said "Okay, it's fire-safe! Start the mass production!"

The baby of a Spitfire and a P-47. A plane which would be almost impossible to shoot down yet could climb and turn with the best of them. Plus it'd probably have 6 20mm cannons in the wings and a 45mm cannon in the nose. They'd find a way to make it work. :p

But to take it seriously, probably the Yak-9. It would have just arrived a lot sooner.

Didn't Stalin execute/jail a lot of the tank designers? Even with all that they made the best tanks of the war. With a sane leader, they'd have probably made super T-34's. :odd:

Imagine a T-34 with skirts, spaced armor and a 100mm gun as standard. O_O

Hard to improve on perfection. Though they'd probably have had had the larger turret of the later T-34's to begin with and a long barrel 75 or 85.
 
Not that I care.. I prefer fast TD's. Sure, they're glass cannons but when you get a nice spot, sniping is fun and productive.

Yeah I like driving the tank destroyers. The M18 Hellcat is just amazing, I love it. :drool:
 
That new pilot stamina mechanic is a bit too strong, maybe. I just had the pilot blackout, in a dive and by the time I got control back, I was nearing overspeed in the LaGG-3-66, even with backing off the throttle. So, it was either pull the plane up hard to try and drop the speed and rip the wings, or continue in the dive and rip the wings. :ouch:

It isn't too strong. If you pull too many Gs you will become unconscious. If you crash due to that then that is biology's fault.

However, the P-51D has a G-suit. ;)

Pulling 10G's in AB mode. :p And hey, for an American fighter it's pretty good...if I could just actually unlock the modifications. :banghead:

What doesn't help is I just have 🤬 luck with the P-51D...literally the dumbest stuff ever happens when I fly that thing. It's really rare when I actually do well with it. I'm good with the P-38G-1 but Gaijin has made that thing almost as if it was made out of plywood. :ouch: It wasn't THAT weak during the war.

What would be nice, would be a mode in AB and RB where you have Allie vs Axis planes...sick of these BLASTED RUSSIAN KITES! :crazy: And the "friendly fire" from the British as well...
 
I wouldn't have a complaint about he stamina system if LOST CONTROL wasn't popping up everytime I was out of the 7+ G maneuver. It never happens when I'm pulling the high G stuff, only after I start leveling out.
 
Uh...why are all my decals gone?! :odd: I've only got; Axis, Allies, Axis Tanks, USSR Tanksand Allies Tanks and they only have like 3 each...restarting didn't do a thing. Anybody else got this issue? (PS4)

It's a known issue on the PS4 after the most recent update. Gaijin already know. I'm guessing we'll get a fix on that in about a year or so. They still haven't totally fixed the camera control while in the hangar.

Sucks that all my planes are now lacking the green spade on the right wing and flying tiger gal pin-up on the tail.

I feel your pain. I'd made some cool replica kinda looking RAF and USAAF fighters and marked every one of my tanks...and now everything is gone. :guilty:
 
Spaded the LaGG-3-66. Might just be me, but it felt like the plane got worse after about 50% of the modules had been installed.
 
So, to sum it up: Latest update screwed up more than fixed. Right?
 
Gave stealth belts a try just now. Hit everything I aimed at. Tracers are very detrimental to aiming for me, apparently.

Tracers do have different ballistics but I find them helpful.
 
First three rentals I've received.

I-153P... pretty good.
Pz III N... meh.
Sherman Calliope.... :boggled:
 
So, it indeed seems that unless one plays as Russians, you'll be overrun and single-shotted in a matter of minutes.
 
I think the most recent PS4 update fixed the issue I had been having with the chat system in the hangar.
 
Bought a PS4. Downloaded WT. And found out that I can't play my PC account on a PS4. Life is pain.
