War Thunder (F2P Air/Ground combat MMO)

StuG III F is the last of the tier 2 tanks I need to research for Germany, then I'll be working on Russian tier 2. Then it's on to the tier 2 aircraft for each nation.
 
Admittedly ground forces comes pretty easily to me... except for when I spawn/get into visible range of the enemies and immediately start getting hit. Sometimes I get the feeling they're cheating because they're hitting me way too easily.

Now.. planes.. that's a completely different story for me. I'm not the greatest at shooting down other aircraft and it doesn't help that the controller settings in-game don't make it easy either. I've even adjusted things and it's still difficult.

That's basically the same story with me.

Tanks: easy with a controller. Probably helps that I have experience with World of Tanks:X360 edition. Combine that with youtube videos on what and what not to do, and you get a decent combination.

Planes: not easy with a controller. Only reason I use one is because I'm on a laptop, where a mouse and keyboard isn't an option.
 
Nothing like getting one shotted by a tank that shouldn't ever be one shotting you... :rolleyes:

Edit: Great.. now I get killed in my Marder II because some noob carelessly backed up into me as I was lining up a shot on a Sherman.

Even worst when you're transmission gets destroyed, or tracks, or suspension.. = Sitting duck :I
 
I think I just had my cannon breach taken out by machine gun fire.. I know this because I had just taken out the guy's gunner. :banghead:
 
Doesn't hurt to try.

Anyways I played 1 game so far today. It was a loss however. But I didn't mind. 5 kills with about 8 or 9 players on each side. However when I got the the results screen, War Thunder froze on me and I had to restart my laptop to fix it.

Anyways, I'll be on at 5:00PM. Are we still good for that time @TheKitten?

Alright, I'll add you when I get on and send you a message to invite me. Hopefully there won't be any arcade ground forces battles. Last two attempts I tried at that mode resulted in getting booted to the PS4 menu with an error about 30 seconds after I spawn in.

Alright. Hopefully errors won't plague you. As for battles, we'll cross that bridge when we get to there.

How do you fire the mgs in tanks? I can only fire the main gun?

Only American tanks have working MGs for now. Waiting for Gaijins to make them work on the others... I wanna shoot a DShK from the top of my Stalin (the IS).

BTW, just had a nice SB game on my SBD-3 (in the joint SB event). That feeling when you're flying around and looking for gray tanks on the ground... :odd: Killed 3 Panzers with bombs and even shot down a Ju-87G. I thought the Dauntless is useless in RB & SB, now I take it back. It can kick ass.

I'd like to thank @TheKitten @GTPorsche and @Rage Racer for coming out and playing. Rage I apologize for my terrible internet connection problems. As for Kitten and Porsche, well done. We had ups and downs but it was enjoyable. I hope we can do this again someday.
