Well, it was an April Fools event, it wasn't really supposed to be serious, now was it? :lol:

Also, I've been busy going back to tanks lately, and I've been enjoying my time. Of course, the FPS take quite the drop because of all the stuff on screen, but using things such as Germany's Tier 1 tank destroyer is pretty damm cool. You really have to adjust your playing style to those units...
 
I've been mixing it up lately. The new dynamics of Ground Forces RB is awesome. No target markers for enemies, but friendlies get markers, so it's like a semi-simulation mode.

I've also learned that Wellingtons are pretty much only useful for enemies to shoot at.

Yeah, that tail is pretty awful. I came in for a landing once, at a very slow speed with the landing gear fully extended. When I touched down at the beginning of the runway, the tail decided to come loose and because landing flaps were deployed, the remaining part of the plane did a backflip.

And that happened in front of 3 teammates. :ouch:

They are finally doing air events again yay. Yesterday was Poland and today is Norway.

They are arcade maps because of the settings. There is no other Norway map except the multiple islands one.
 
There's no tactics involved when the entire team can see you and you can see the entire team. It's impossible to get to a strategic altitude because you get no time to do anything of that nature.

Read the Germans win mostly.

The 109 isn't a turnfighter.

I know it's not a turnfighter, it's BnZ, which needs an altitude advantage to dive from to BnZ properly.

So if you saying there is no time to get an altitude advantage is true why are the Germans winning? And this is on a planes shot down basis not score.
 
I wouldn't know. I went into a realistic battles match in the events list with a Bf 109, and promptly quit when I noticed it was an arcade map with arcade spawns.

Did the same today with the Norway map when I assumed it was going to be the RB Norway map, but I took a Wellington for that. When I saw it was the arcade map, I quit immediately and went to actual RB matches.

Give them a chance. The 109's have plenty of opportunity.
 
I just now realized there's a (USSR)Spitfire Mk.IX as a reward for participating in these...

225 victories with 75%+ activity is a lot though.
 
However long the chronicles of WWII events go on for.

I've played a few of those events now. My opinion is no different. They suck... probably because I don't play arcade.
 
Malta event...

Pick British: 60+ waiting for that and 3 for the Italian side.

Instead of waiting.. went and switched to Italian.... Enough on both sides to play. :boggled:

That is because the Hurricane completely outclasses the MC200 and the G50.
 
But for the queue to swing by that much in the time it took me to switch planes, is crazy.

Flying the Hurricane now, since it's the plane I wanted to fly initially. Don't like the Italian planes.

You have to put it with a crew. Free repair takes much more time when the vehicle is just left in the stockyard without a crew.

These Italian fighters are flying trash buckets, ten of them can't deal with a couple of Hurries, if it's not an arcade battle.
 
Anyone try the 4v4 duel? I find the KI43 to be the best here. If you can get a team mate with a 109 G2 you are pretty much guaranteed a win before starting.
