Oh yeah, I almost forgot to show a picture I took during the Berlin game:

Didn't try the other two maps yet, only Normandie, and Germans won again. Also played my Tiger II on Mozdok map (which has changed, too - not as flat and dull as before) - Germans still rule in RB.

That Calliope Sherman is too damn expensive - well, at least for me because I rarely pay for F2P games, but when I do, I don't normally pay more than a standard fast food meal costs at a time (the most expensive thing I ever bought for WT was a unique A-26 Invader pack (was included with some laptop he bought) that my friend gave me for ₽600 (less than $12).

Gaijin changed the way the friends list works. I understand why they did it but it's a bit of a hassle to have to clear the list and re-add everyone again.

So? Considering the amount of unarmed planes and prototypes in the game it might as well be included..

>Gaijin adds 3 new ground maps.
>Still get consecutive jungle and carpathians battles.

Poor luck with the online booking, I guess. I managed to have at least one battle in a new map, and I think I have played all of the new maps at least once. But yes, those two maps are quite frequent...

I took out a Tiger with the 75mm M3 GMC.

Man, the look on the Tiger driver's face must've been hilarious. "What the hell!? How did this truck thing kill me!?"

I just love the M3 so much, the American tank tree was in dire need of a vehicle like that, and it shows. You should've seen the battle I had yesterday (I actually posted a replay of it in the WT convo if you care)... Three tanks near my position, and not a single one noticed me on a nearby cliff. Two died.

I won't be able to view the replay since I'm on PS4.

I've been in matches where every other tank on the team was the M18. Insane how heavily used that tank is currently.

It seems that the entire American Tank Destroyer dynasty is pretty damm popular. M10s are another common sight in the battles I fight in. I can't even begin to imagine a whole team made up of M18s... :scared:

^This thing is is surprisingly kick-ass. Fast (but only on a solid surface), small and can be confused for an AA (a low priority target) in RB, the cannon is quite powerful and has a great fire rate.

Got the M10 Wolverine, too - nice cannon (penetration, damage and especially rate of fire are great), takes out most enemies with 1-2 hits, but the turret is annoyingly slow. The enemy Panzer III runs away like a roach before you aim at him.
Also, because of open turret, it's more vulnerable to artillery and HE shells.

Well, it seems that the M3 GMC is a great addition to the game alright, I haven't heard a single bad thing about it. Good job, developers. 👍 I forgot about the fact that it does look like an AA, must help in battles where the name tags don't show for enemy players.

The M10 does sound pretty great, a certain man (cough @DurWinning cough) told me about the slow turret turning speed as well, it does make it harder to get a lock on a moving target.

That and the vertical turret drive is prone to breaking (which is a pain in the you know what if you don't have parts). But I'd recommend it to any tank destroyer driver.

Yeah, that is also pretty nasty if it happens to a M10 driver. But hey, the good outweighs the bad in these 'Murican tank destroyers, they do a great job.

Hint: If you don't have parts and broke something, turn back and run to a friendly base, where you can repair even without spare parts. (Just in case if somebody doesn't know)
But there is a problem if the broken part is engine or drivetrain... (tracks can be repaired even without spare parts)
In this case, you'll need a friend to tow you to the base if it's close enough :D

So that's why I get "repair/reload" messages whenever I'm on a friendly base, even if I didn't damage anything. Guess that does work pretty well for tanks without a parts upgrade. But there is the problem that the base may or may not be a popular spot for artillery shelling... :scared:

I always thought those repair/reload messages were strictly for reloading ammo.... never tried repairing in those spots...

Something to remember when you hunt a Tiger or a Panther with a 17-pounder of a Sherman Firefly.

The M18 just massacres the entire balance of the game. It's completely impossible to spawn safely after one death because the M18s are right there, in the spawn, just waiting to ambush everyone.

A standard strategy of Gaijin:

1. Add an overpowered plane/tank with a premium version (M18 "Black Cat" in this case)
2. Intensive sales of the premium vehicle
3. In the next update, it gets "historically corrected" (which means, nerfed)
4. ???
5. PROFIT! And balance is good again.

Hmm, if that Hellcat is so good, maybe I should research it ASAP and try out before it gets nerfed? Muahaha!..
@GTPorsche, what mode did you see the M18 dominating (AB, RB or SB)?

P.S. I just had a rain battle (Mozdok, RB):

RB as it's all I play, and I also had a rainy Mozdok match earlier.

Edit: Seriously annoying.. Can't even get halfway across the map without being swarmed by M18s.

Spawn
Die
Spawn
Die
Spawn
Die

That's all there is to do if you're playing against the US in tanks. :banghead:

M18s and ULQ = easy wins. Good thing PS4 users like myself are at a disadvantage when it comes to foliage since we get everything loaded on the map at high quality.

In RB and SB, you have to use binoculars to look for far targets rather than gun's scope. Especially when you drive something like Jagdpanther.

Hmm, what tanks do you drive if Hellcats kill you so often? I'm mostly on rank III-IV Germans and I'm not annoyed by any Hellcats... If I'm not for Soviets - they suck from both other nations.

Soviet tanks are only well playable in SB - because it depends on skill rather than tank specs. Playing for 3rd and early 4th rank Soviets in RB is PAIN. :irked: But in SB, I can do pretty well on my T-34-85 or SU-85.
