Hey, you started it.

It doesn't look real to me, and the idea of it certainly doesn't seem realistic. It's definitely fake.

Are you guys being serious? That is extremely fake.

Also, I have learned that winning in an arguement against Famine is impossible (he's just too darn smart :irked:). toyomatt, I'd suggest giving up now before you ruin your otherwise ok reputation here (as you're quickly becoming the little kid in the back of the classroom who is constantly wrong, and yet still thinks he knows more than the rest of the world and can't figure out what he's doing that makes everyone else wrong).

This part's for everyone: For God's Sake! Stop being so critical of each other! I know I can get critical too, but still, we should try to stop biting each others' heads off each time something like this happens. I have homework to do now, but can you please try to behave yourselves? You're all acting like a bunch of kindergardeners (when I'm just about positive most of us are capable of being far more mature than that; and it only really applies to people who are trivially argueing over the context and grammar in toyomatt's post).

You're telling me...

Really. That slashdot link which was, apparently, posted as proof that it is real... if you read the discussion there is plenty of evidence that it is not real.

Aside from, of course, just watching the videos which look fake.

Guess what? if anybody will pick up the latest issue of MOTOR TREND magazine, it is strangely thick. There is a exerpt from a book called "men of metal" where it a man who lives in Oxford and talks to a bunch of people who have been rescued by this MINI robot. The plot thickenss......

I have to say thanks to everyone involved in this thread, and the arguement/s that so frequently occured with everyone vs. Me. It will truly come in handy for my thesis. :D

My topic: how arguements, no matter how violent, still prove nothing besides the fact that the two components of the arguement do not agree and maybe have lesser respect and more anger towards eachother.

Am I right? Did it not work to spark a fire?

In all honesty, thanks all. :D

Arguments prove nothing when one of the parties does not argue along logical principles. However, that does not invalidate the logic of the other party as well. So, NO, you're not right.

One of the parties, me, was bringing up points about the validity of the robot videos and the probability of this being true.

One of the other party's, you, points * was to say you thought it was true saying, "I hope you know that I read up on this guy, and the story sounds logical to me", as well as bringing up points about my grammar.

* Doesn't sound right. Would someone run it thru Word to see what the correct way to put that is?

Few questions:

1. Define what a "logical arguement" might be. I really don't think that there is a logical base behind any arguement, simply because it requires two or more subjects to go out of their way to provide information on a subject that if, and may be, argued upon, will provide no change in the initial subject's perspectives.

2. Second of all: How can you say I was wrong to invoke an arguement based upon 2 different subjects: Video quality/realism and grammar. I meant no harm in starting these, just needed some information for the base of my thesis. So yes, it worked to start a little arguement.

3. There was no, and almost never has been, a "logical principle" in the arguements in GTPlanet. I don't know why mine has to be based on some logical principle. Take Rumple Foreskin, (I mean not to make fun or hurt feelings in the following); he started up a new account just to piss off some members in arguementation. Not really logical, if you ask me.

You need a thesis to know that when you poke at people it's more likely that they will respond aggressively? (sounds logical to me...)

Geez... I hope there's no physical experimentation in your thesis!
