I don't know why only half of them appear. Very strange.
You've hotlinked 10 4K PNGs at about 8MB apiece. That's the kind of thing GTP's image caching doesn't really like.

If you upload them to a gallery here and then post them from that gallery they'll all show up fine.

I’ll take quality over quantity all day.
Eh, to a degree. Whilst you certainly don't want highly inaccurate tracks like you used to get back in the PS1 days, most games these days do a very good job on most real world tracks, even without laser scanning.

This is WG in pCARS 2. It's not laser scanned. It's also from five years ago.

Is the GT7 version more accurate, and generally better looking? Of course, zero doubt about that. I'm sure if you did some comparisons like the OP it'd look completely off at parts. But it's not so badly wrong that you are going to notice the inaccurate details while racing and I'd take that over nothing at all. Give me five tracks at 90% vs 1 at 100% any day.

Just like I don't need accurate stitching in the rear seats of the car models, I don't need 100% accurately positioned railings and dead trees on a track. But that's just how PD do things.

Looks great!

The last thing Polyphony really needs to do is just give the vegetation more life, if it's windy on track than the trees should react as such, perhaps have birds flying about as well.
More life would be good. Before that PD needs to archive their tree technique of PS4 games.

PD/GT7 did an amazing job. The guys and girls at PD are some of the most talented devs in the business. One thing PD do well is their attention to detail with various things. Like for example the colour tone of real life vs the game. It’s so accurate and breathtaking. Their lighting, the sky, the clouds, where the light is hitting the circuit, the cars too. There’s so many things to list. There’s a lot they get right though.

C'mon... you kidding us.. they are all fake :D

No way!! Its crazy how accurate and good nowadays these photos look! Even some small details like a un-grased dry puddle just besides the track, some painting, even skidmarks, wich wont stay for ever and other stuff or single trees in the background. Amazing job from PD!

One of the coolest things I've noticed in Daily C is the shadows. After coming out of T1 if there's a car behind the shadow will project out and it's really neat how that all works. They did a great job on this track and, IMO, it came out at the perfect time.

I just got a great comment from a friend, I sent him couple of screenshots with the comparison, he didn't read the title properly, and he said "the PS4 ones are also good enough, but the PS5 is amazing" - not realising that the top pictures are actual real pics :D
