I am on other boards for that.

Great. So keep the willful ignorance there and to threads on this board that revolve around what you specialize in. Or at least make an attempt to research other cars before you comment on them.

And suddenly you are going to tell me how I can or cannot post?

Oh you can post whatever you want. You have been... Obviously. If you want to change people's reactions to your posts and maybe change how your opinion is received by other members, listening would be in your interest.

Fair enough 👍

Sure. I'll restart it for you. Unless @YSSMAN or any of the moderators say otherwise...
But I'll run it rather differently.

I'd like to help if it's ok with you and the mods, I think we could end up with something quite fun if we organize something like a beat-off with brackets that would lead us to a final and we stick to a particular genre of cars per week or month. Sort of like a month for hot hatches to crown the best hot hatch, a month of luxobarges, a month of super *gasp* cars...etc. I'd say let's make it so! :lol:

@CarBastard

Sure, why not. Hell, I was just trying to find a way in my head to salvage what @JMoney689 had started, so perhaps if I just follow through with that then you could take over and run it further. It sounds like you have bigger plans than I do, and no on else seems to have taken an interest.

if you're interested, I noticed that out of the 26 cars nominated, there were vehicles from 8 different nations, so I figured it would make sense to have 6 votes on which cars should represent the US, the UK, Germany, France, Sweden, and Japan, and then the 6 cars chosen from those votes could go on to compete against the Kia Sentra S (Korea) and the Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo MkII (with an LPG conversion) in a more conventional tournament.

Okay, I'm gonna catch a lot of flack for this, but:

I voted for the Mustang. Mainly because of two reasons: First, I think the Citrn DS is ugly. There, I said it. Let the hatred flow through you and all that. But, luckily, beauty is and will always be in the eye of the beholder. These super feminine lines of the DS never did it for me. The other reason to not vote for the DS would be that, frankly, I don't like classic cars because of how technically advanced they are (or were). The opposite, rather.

Now, add a 1954 300 SL to the poll and I wouldn't be voting for the 'Stang ;)

It was between the Volvo and Mustang for me but I ended up voting for the Mustang.

The DS is miles, lightyears even, ahead of the other two, technically speaking. So don't try to claim that as any legitimate metric. You voted for the best car in the world on aesthetics alone. That's fine, but own it. We won't judge you. I mean, it would be like voting Emma Stone over John Locke in a contest of human greatness because she looks better, but again, that's fine. I'm not being passive aggressive, don't worry. It's fine.

If I was picking the best car in the world based on technological prowess, I wouldn't ever pick a classic car. I'll pick a classic car for the looks and the fact that it is technologically outdated. That, to me, is the precise point of a classic car.

And yeah, tell you what: I'd rather ride Emma Stone to work or for the sheer pleasure of it than John Locke. I'd argue that the same goes for the Mustang.

Voted Citreon, The Mustang is by far my favourite. I'm voting for best car and since the criteria right now is so broad I'm taking functionality, practicality and usefulness into account, Try stuffing a baby and baby seat into the back seat of that Mustang a few times a day. So for all around bestness the Citreon wins this round IMO.
