Lowered the difficulty on the Willow Springs race and vented out my anger on the rabbit AI.
Bolded and circled the important parts. You don't say?

Since i decided that I'll NEVER get the &3#@#& CRB at Ring ( Cursed) i stuck on SPA trying to find with what i can win with lower pp cars ,plus to evaluate their stock performance.
The CRB wasn't the first aspect but i was trying to be as clean as possible.
For example i never " nail " Eau rouge in order to pass ,etc .
Anyway i start with RX500 with SH tyres , took the CRB but was at 520 pp
Follow Stratos on SH a fraction under 500pp no CRB this time
Dino at 490+ pp CRBless
And what beautiful surprise was the Merak !!!!
Excellent handling in stock form with the addition of SM tyres that put her at 486+ pp
And i took the CRB !!!
You should try it .
Of course sometimes depends and at the field , if is only Frankfurter inside with the Ferrari only the chances to win is significant higher.
When Miura ant the Lambos are inside at the front, things are getting difficult to very difficult.
The trip continues....

Loving the no ABS challenge with the older cars that never had ABS. The stock Citroen DS 21 Pallas '70 was up for the challenge at Lago Maggiore.

According to Gemini the Citroen DS 21 Pallas '70 had
Load-Sensitive Braking. It used hydropneumatic suspension to mechanically balance braking power.

Nice set of races for this week! As always trying to pick the not so obvious choices and giving them the chance to stretch their legs! This weeks chosen few:

1) Sunday Cup Classic - Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B ‘38; 479PP on Comfort Soft tires: Love driving this car for the beautiful interior view and it’s awesome Inline-8 sound, also it’s a natural born drifting machine! And surprisingly what I thought would be an easy win ended in a close call with its descendant the Giulia for an entire lap. The 8C is torquey enough to light its tires any chance it can but also is a boat braking wise, but can win easily if you brake early and take your time!

IMG_9508.webp

2) Historic Sports Car Masters - DeTomaso Mangusta ‘69; 579PP on Sports Soft tires: I was waiting for the overpowered rabbit and the AI Miura didn’t disappoint, the whole second lap was an intense battle yet in the final lap after Eau Rouge the Miura just threw the race and I won by over 30 seconds. And the Mangusta was pure analog bliss the whole time! Love how it attacks corners, very rewarding if dialed in just right.

IMG_9511.webp

3) Special Event - Renault Avantime ‘02; 514PP on Comfort Soft tires: Just went with all weight reductions, Semi-racing exhaust and managed to win easily. This layout is great for medium pp racing and was another quick win.

IMG_9505.webp

IMG_9507.webp

4) Hypercar Parade - Porsche 918 Spyder ‘13; 799PP on Racing Medium tires: The Other Ring is actually fun and rewarding for technical driving, the field was packed but this time I chose to “screw it I’m going all in” and destroyed the competition by the end of lap two. Then by the beginning of lap six the Valkyrie started eating away my lead and chew almost a forty second lead down to a 17 seconds behind me at the end. Nice try PD!

IMG_9509.webp

IMG_9512.webp

5) Neo-Classic Competition - Nissan R92CP ‘92; 800PP on Racing Hard tires: Bringing the big guns so I could catch the leaders by lap 7 and won by over 30 seconds in a no-stop race. Still there was bits of drama at the end of lap 9 between the 2, 3 and 4 positions and the Nissan Silhouette being in the middle of the road! Fun race!

My first weekly races on my new PS5, as I had been told it is miles over the PS4 I had been using FF or the past 4 years (GTSport + GT7) still learning how to do things on new console over the old way...
Here are my results...
Ferrari 250 at Lake Maggiore

it was a nice livery while i had it, i just will not need it after we get the real Espace F1.

Failed first three tries with the tuned MB 190E and i had to resort to the stronger relative of the MB family...

Lost the CRB but definitely this car delivers in top speed .
At 490 + pp with addition only SH tyres .

Another surprise that took the record from Merak since was 1pp down 😂
The key was the med turbo and the the long gearbox that was faster than the regular one to my surprise .
Also he didn't start quite well but finally i took the damn CRB with all the gang inside .
485.21 pp exactly.

Good news: After getting no tickets last week, everything is back to normal and weeklies are working again🙂
My plan was hard mode and using cars I haven't driven much so far.

Sunday Cup @Lago Maggiore
Plymouth XNR Ghia /CM tires /379.64PP

1000025671.webp

The car seems to be quite OP here, easy win. Got CRB.

Special Event @Sardegna
Renault Avantime /SH tires /519.64PP

1000025672.webp

Tried a very slightly tuned Avantime first, but no chance. So I took my non-swapped race build, put it on SH tires and turned the power down as much as possible. That gave me 236hp and 1200kg, easily enough to win comfortably and clean w/CRB.
I think I've never driven this layout in reverse before but I have to say I like it! Those downhill passages are fun.

Historic sports car masters @ Spa
Porsche 911 RS 901 /SH tires /577.88PP

1000025673.webp

I made this recently as a 600PP build but switching tires from SM to SH made it a valid choice for this race. And it's a good choice 'cause it simply rocks this race. Won and got CRB.

Hypercars @ Red Bull Ring
Lambo Veneno /SS tires /717.03PP

1000025674.webp

I bought this last week, took me almost 2 years to get the invite. Time to finally put the car to action!
It was a fun race but not knowing the car at all didn't help. I had contact with another car while overtaking because I underestimated how wide the Veneno is. So no CRB.
And I wasn't quick enough to win, finished second, 3 or 4 seconds behind the Vulcan. But that's ok. As I said, it was a fun race and I really like the Veneno!

Neo Classic @ Willow Springs.
Mazda 787B /RH tires /799.96PP

1000025675.webp

This was by far the hardest challenge for me this week and took me longer to complete than all other challenges combined.
First I went with the CLK, which I also bought just recently and really wanted to drive. Feels good, but too slow. No chance, finished 6th.
So Group C then. The Nissan was already at 800PP, so I gave it a try. Very understeery, not what I prefer. Went of track multiple times and span out on lap 7. Nope!
Next I tried the Mazda. Much better to drive than the Nissan but less power. Finished 5th😟
At this point I accepted that I just suck with high down force cars and turned the difficulty down to normal. Won comfortably by 15 seconds in a FM2 non-stop race and got CRB.

And I am.. I am doing the weeklies on alt account and I was gobsmacked when I realized the visual details that the PS5 has given me, for example in the Hypercar Parade im in a Valkyrie and coming up from behind a Ford GT when I noticed some blinking on the Ford and realized it was reflected images in the Fords rear view mirror!
19ab2d37a3d76-screenshotUrl.webp

also the vibration in controller, I can feel each shift change. I couldn't do that on the PS4...
Just wow...

Congrats getting a PS5. PSVR2 is on sale in some countries. Just sayin'. 😉

My Assistance Bike Race Van was on the local Alps to serve a Biking Team and, having heard about a car race around Lago Maggiore, I thought to send it there...
...and it was nice and a winning experience... (while the Biking Team lost the race not having my support... sorry) :D

P.s. the creation of this design has been inspired by the amazing graphics seen here by @Imbissbrunto (you are the responsible one of my hundred hours spent in designs...)

Then I did the sacrilege of a French car with an Italian Flag Design overtaking an historical Italian monster...

1763976180076.webp

...and at the end I saw a nice guy that wanted to kill my Nissan from behind...
...and don't say that you didn't see me... your eyes are on me... and mine are on you... bast*rd... :P

This week’s challenges were completed yesterday. As is customary for me, there was a theme for all races except the One-Make Avantime race. This week’s theme, PORSCHE!

First up was the Sunday Cup Classic. I pulled my stock 356 Carrera Speedster. Fun race, but easy win.
IMG_7157.webp

Next was the Historic Sportscar Masters at Spa. I put some miles on my 2.8 RSR clone, tuned down to 580pp. It was so good to toss around and the noise is unreal! It’s one of my favorites in the game.
IMG_7154.webp

After that, I went to the Red Bull Ring for the Hypercar Parade. This race really does feel like a parade if the Valkyrie isn’t in the field. My 911 GT1 “Strassenversion”, fully converted to its GT1 Evo race spec. It made light work of everything else, but still fun.
IMG_7156.webp

Last on the roster of Porsche domination was the Neo-Classic race at Big Willow. I pulled out my Dyson Racing 962C, reworked it to 800pp and went. I made good progress through up until I went off the road at the last corner. I hate Big Willow a lot, but the 962 makes it somewhat bearable. I did a no stop on FM4 and just passed Grady’s XJR-9 after his stop. Luckily was able to hold him off for the last two laps.
IMG_7155.webp

Here's my new Baby taking part at the Historic Sportscar Masters. She's engine-swapped and fully equipped, running on SH compound, power-weight restricted to 180 hp / 613 kg for a total of 526,45 PP.
She's a great drive but the race is tense at hard difficulty, there's no time to lose. You'll be be rewarded with real fun and a unique experience ... if you can stand that ultra-high revving engine for three long laps at Spa.

I cannot do vr as I do get motion ill
I was getting sick very fast in the beginning, but with small increments I overcame it with time and now I am 100% immune

Regarding weeklies, I used the R5 Turbo on first race (easy, of course), Avantime stock on SS (easy too), M3 89 at Spa (very easy, but so nice to drive), took Porsche 911 GT3 RS '22 (tuned down to -650PP) and was very much too slow on straights, made it up in the braking zones and turns, but ended up 0.6s behind Veneno, could retry to finish 1st.

Still Willow Springs to do.

I finally got the McLaren F1 GTR Race Car in the legendary dealer and immediately wanted to try it.

Used it stock at Willow Springs. Only 7th. Way too slow, maybe a better tune and better driving on my part could give it a chance. Front left RM tire was toast after a no-stopper. Tidgney, umm M. Grady, won in the XJR.
1000021616.webp

Therefore tried the XJR next. It is 862 pp stock. Found a tune with the turbo on RH tires. Worked really well. However the race seemed different this time. Grady was much slower. But I was faster than his total race time in the McLaren race. Therefore feeling good about. I had one or two minor taps with other cars and also fully got into the dirt once. Therefore no CRB.
1000021617.webp
I then did the other races in order. I used the gtplus.app for some suggestions. Cool site.

Sunday Cup at Lago Maggiore
I had never tried this beauty before. P1 and CRB.
1000021618.webp

Avantime race
Slapped sports softs on it and hoped for the best. Winable if I knew the track. But I didn't. Finally after some restarts a P3. But a dirty one. Blocking one of the tuned rabbits down the straight.
1000021619.webp

Got 100 k on a 3 star ticket and saved the last two races for the next day.

Historic cars at Spa
Fantastic car with a nice livery. Inept driving led to a hard fought 3rd with no CRB. I overtook the Ferrari 512 BB through Blanchimont on the last lap. Probably winable at only 480 pp if I would practice the combo a bit. Car is cornering much better than the competition.
1000021620.webp

Hyper cars at RBR
Beautiful classic. I slapped sports soft tires on it for good measure. The Valkyrie was no match ultimately. Due to being bad with traffic I managed to lead at the start of lap 5.
1000021621.webp

Complete collection of challenge winners.

Was that close to take CRB but i never get it for various reasons, AI, track limit in some areas etc.
Try it about 10 times but was unlucky.
483 pp .
IMG_20251125_182603261_HDR.webp

with only Frankfurter inside is easier but i wanted the lambo's inside .
The toughest field is when Rosi with Miura and the two lambo's are in front.

@Pesselles : come here immediately !

It should have been "CRB week" (in normal difficulty) - should... Big Willow kinda ruined it :/

But let's start from the beginning: Gulia versus Gulia @ 350pp at Lago Maggiore, CRB after second attempt (had crashed into the wall on first attempt because my Gulia is terribly under-steery):

20969994555457579.webp

Avan-time at Sardegna with a way overpowered car, thus no trouble getting CRB:

20970195203236851.webp

I love the historic races, and my GTB '75 "Tour de Corse" edition. CRB:

20970059230532661.webp

Hypercar races always seem a bit double-edged to me. I like fast road cars but somehow never find a good tune for most of them as soon as it comes to a PP of over 700. Same here, the Supra monster is fast as hell but handles / feels clumsy. Still managed to hold off the Valkyrie long enough to win the race while maintaining CRB:

20969963030084469.webp

Then came Big Willow - and killed my CRB dream. I had thought that I mastered that track, and had good memories from the last time I did this Neoclassic race. But apparently I'm still far from having mastered it. Getting P1 with a no-stopper was no issue, but even after starting over for the 4th time I didn't succeed in getting the CRB since there was always one or two occasions where I landed in the sand. Might try again if I'll find the time:

20970166480533748.webp

Finally bought myself the Stratos from the Weeklies' credits for my "Tour the Corse" custom races (always using original liveries):
