Good news: After getting no tickets last week, everything is back to normal and weeklies are working again🙂
My plan was hard mode and using cars I haven't driven much so far.
Sunday Cup @Lago Maggiore
Plymouth XNR Ghia /CM tires /379.64PP
The car seems to be quite OP here, easy win. Got CRB.
Special Event @Sardegna
Renault Avantime /SH tires /519.64PP
Tried a very slightly tuned Avantime first, but no chance. So I took my non-swapped race build, put it on SH tires and turned the power down as much as possible. That gave me 236hp and 1200kg, easily enough to win comfortably and clean w/CRB.
I think I've never driven this layout in reverse before but I have to say I like it! Those downhill passages are fun.
Historic sports car masters @ Spa
Porsche 911 RS 901 /SH tires /577.88PP
I made this recently as a 600PP build but switching tires from SM to SH made it a valid choice for this race. And it's a good choice 'cause it simply rocks this race. Won and got CRB.
Hypercars @ Red Bull Ring
Lambo Veneno /SS tires /717.03PP
I bought this last week, took me almost 2 years to get the invite. Time to finally put the car to action!
It was a fun race but not knowing the car at all didn't help. I had contact with another car while overtaking because I underestimated how wide the Veneno is. So no CRB.
And I wasn't quick enough to win, finished second, 3 or 4 seconds behind the Vulcan. But that's ok. As I said, it was a fun race and I really like the Veneno!
Neo Classic @ Willow Springs.
Mazda 787B /RH tires /799.96PP
This was by far the hardest challenge for me this week and took me longer to complete than all other challenges combined.
First I went with the CLK, which I also bought just recently and really wanted to drive. Feels good, but too slow. No chance, finished 6th.
So Group C then. The Nissan was already at 800PP, so I gave it a try. Very understeery, not what I prefer. Went of track multiple times and span out on lap 7. Nope!
Next I tried the Mazda. Much better to drive than the Nissan but less power. Finished 5th😟
At this point I accepted that I just suck with high down force cars and turned the difficulty down to normal. Won comfortably by 15 seconds in a FM2 non-stop race and got CRB.
