The obsession with GV does my head in, it's a terrible track for racing. Nice to just cruise around but racing is bleh.

MMX
GV has always been my favorite track. The revamp didn't change that. It has great flow, better than most of the real tracks in the game.

To me the reverse layout has a better flow
So, we're all in agreement then.
Grand Valley is terrible/great/better in reverse. I'm glad that's settled... ;)

This latest GT7 version of Grand Valley, pretty as it is, isn't as nice to race on as earlier versions. There are far too many awkwardly tight or tightening turns following quick sections to allow it to flow. Grand Valley South on the other hand drives more like the Grand Valley i remember from previous games. I don't think running it in reverse or not changes that.

I totally agree. It feels like just a bunch of random decreasing radius turns connected by various straights.

Sooo, anyone get a setup that'll make my GT-R handle less like a brick?

Agreed, it's just worse than the GT6 version in every way other than looks. Really wish they'd have just made a new unique track in the Highway 1 setting and given us the old layout instead. Used to be one of my favourite tracks until we got this new version.

@RACECAR

I usually run the diffs as open as possible on coast, lower the rear downforce until it's close to the front and run a bunch of rake.

As much as I like the GTR, three times in a row.
Meh, I never understood the GTR thing. Shed tonnes of power and grip, light years ahead of everyone in 1992 but they've never been fun to drive. We use the same AWD cars too often when fun cars like early AMG or early M or Alpine's just sit there looking lonely.

using the 919 hybrid for the gr.1 , the xj220 for the hypercar, GTR '90 for the GTR race , either the 205 evo or the escudo for the rally event and the z performance for the FR race.

You say that but the mine's R34 says otherwise in spec 3 :lol:

Hey, there could be One Makes at Tsukuba, Fuji Speedway and Willow Springs. ;)
