The latest set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges will be landing on your consoles over the next few hours, updating as your local clock time crosses over into Friday morning.
Weekly Challenges are essentially a bonus game mode for players who’ve finished the main GT Cafe career. Unlocking once you finish the final Menu Book, they comprise a set of five events that currently allow you to revisit some of the races and mop up others you may have missed to hit 100% in your dashboard, along with increasing bonus rewards for completing them during the week’s window.
At present — with some changes coming in December that will alter the event types — they include four standard races from World Circuits and a “Special Event” created just for the week. You can find the events in a special, green box in the World Map, World Circuits, and individual track selections.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges – October Week 2 Races
Japanese FR Challenge 450 – Suzuka Circuit
This week’s action begins with one of the new races added in the 1.63 update last month, with Suzuka Circuit hosting a two-lap race in the Japanese FR Challenge 450. Although the event contains “450” in the name, this is only a suggested Performance Point (PP) value for a fair race, and you can enter any front-engined, rear-wheel drive Japanese road car at any state of tune as you chase the 40,000cr prize for first place.
World Rally Challenge – Sardegna Windmills
After months without one, it’s the fourth week in a row that we have an offroad event. Sardegna Windmills is the venue for the World Rally Challenge, which comprises a five-lap race for any car at 700PP or less and on Dirt Tires. Unsurprisingly your opponents are Gr.B cars, so you should probably pick your favorite from the category for the event. There’s 65,000cr for victory.
Special Event – Nurburgring
It’s another high-powered challenge in this week’s Special Event, with a third tour for the Skylines. You can use any Skyline road car — including the NISMO 400R and Z-Tune — for this one-lap blast around the Nordschleife and, just like the last outing, you’re going to want a pretty serious tune to compete here. We reckon 700PP is going to be needed to get on the podium, and you’ll likely need a good mix of power, mechanical grip, and aero grip. There’s only 65,000cr available for taking the win, so hopefully your Grand Valley tune will be good enough.
Hypercar Challenge – Dragon Trail
Two races that you’ll need to unlock if you haven’t already done so round things off, beginning with the Hypercar Challenge at Dragon Trail Gardens. This event is basically unrestricted except for requiring a road car (no tuned cars here), but given the presence of cars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie in your field of opponents you’re going to need something pretty brisk yourself. It’s an eight-lap race and there’s 95,000cr available should you win.
Gr.1 Prototype Series – Grand Valley
An unusual finish this week in that it’s not the regular World Touring Car event but the Gr.1 Prototype Series. Despite the name, this event doesn’t require a Gr.1 car, but it’s usually a good idea to go with one as the AI field will be using them and the event restrictions are basically any car on race tires at or below 950PP. Whatever car you pick, you’ll have some tire wear and fuel consumption effects to consider as you chase the 160,000cr first-place prize over ten laps of Grand Valley Highway-1.

This week’s bonuses are a mixed selection, comprising credits and a high-value ticket, all of which you’ll need to redeem from your Garage’s Gifts to claim.
Completing any one of the five events awards you a 100,000cr ticket, while finishing any three of them earns a 200,000cr ticket. Clearing the full set gifts a Six-Star Ticket, which offers a variety of awards: 500,000cr; 1,000,000cr; or a car from Brand Central valued at over 500,000cr — including Invitation-only cars.
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday October 17.
