The Hakosuka from the Power Pack is a fun car to run in the GTR race on RH.
I saw some pictures posted above and they definitely look like super fun. Making the old PS4 user a bit jealous ...
The standard engine-swapped Hakosuka is fun too though. :)
I couldn't resist to take two of my dinosaurs to track and see whether they're still competitive. And they are !

My Hakosuka's got a tune for the Historic Sports Car Masters. It runs on SS dialed in at slightly below 580 PP. And this is quite a good level for having close races against Ordonez and Suswillo in their R35 cars.

Now driving the 2J always was and still is really special with some kind of therapeutic effect on me. Yoga-like relaxation, sheer driving pleasure. Wasn't sure whether it can be quick enough against the prototypes and Group C cars at Yas Marina but it's been another easy victory in the end. Went all out, 860 PP, FM1 on RM, refueling after 10 laps.

Why just win the race when you can absolutely steamroll it? The car was capable of a lot more but my driving at nearly midnight let quite a bit to be desired, took a ton of tries and still left probably ten seconds on the table by taking it really easy when passing to not blow the bonus.

Interesting week.

I used the Demon swapped Charger for the American and Ferrari GTO for the European cups.

I actually somewhat liked the Brands Hatch Racing tires madness. It was different. But that was the easiest gold in the history of the franchise I guess.

Deep Forest came down to the wire. Taking the lead on the final hairpin of the last lap in the magnificent 400R.

I was surprised the the 908 was able to do a no stopper on mediums but it worked really well. No CRB due to some missed breaking points but a nice drive.

Fastest lap was a fluke 42. Majority of my laps were 44s with some 43s in between. Tires at the end of the final lap for reference.

Am I the only one who used a Opel Corsa GSI VGT at Yas Marina? With RS & pit every 2 laps. And I won, at least after 2-3 attempts. I also tried an Audi R8 race car, it went terribly bad.

Did the FTO time trial @ Brands Hatch, and I can’t remember if I actually crushed it on my first try or not. At any rate, I’m hoping to tackle the Nissan GT-R Cup round @ Deep Forest next, followed by the newly-added round of the Gr.1 Prototype Series @ Yas Marina. I’m likely gonna use an Nissan GT-R Nismo ‘17 and the Gr.1-spec Hyundai N2025 VGT, respectively.

Unlocked the Weekly Challenges about 4 days ago since I just started playing.
Got to almost everything except the Gr1. 950pp since I need a car I don't have and playing via remote there's enough lag that I can't properly race at a high pace. I hope the next Weeklies are more interesting.

My choices for the week.
IMG_7251.webp

First race was the American Sunday Cup in my stock GT350R. I love Road Atlanta, so this was an easy win.

IMG_7256.webp

Next was the European Clubman Cup in another one of my favorites, a lightly modified 964 RS. Alsace is almost suited perfectly to the 964’s layout. Another fairly easy win.

Next was the Time Trial in the FTO. Stock road cars on slicks is always horrible. The stock suspension is way too softly sprung to work the Soft slicks even a little bit. I got my gold first try and onto the next race.

That next race was the GT-R Cup at Deep Forest. My chosen chariot was my LM Blue 400R. I put SS tires on my otherwise stock car. I enjoyed this race, Deep Forest has a good rhythm to it.

Last race was the Group 1 race at Yas Marina. I chose the GR010 as I enjoyed it during the Group 1 OTT at Spa. The race itself was fairly easy, but the GR010 likes to spin up the rears when the hybrid boost comes in. I ran a 10RM-5RS with no refueling to win.

Time zone based yes. But don't make the mistake of changing your time zone to Australia just to get it early. Whenever you change your systems time zone weekly challenge rewards are not awarded for that week.
Wow I didn't know that. That sucks. Glad I'm already in Australia. 😎

right now I'm just trying to figure how to change the measurement units in-game. I only got KPH, everything else is stuck on freedom units and I want metric.

Quite an easy week.

A Ferrari Daytona to get that race done in a flash.

Managing 1200 horsepower on snow was my idea of fun.

The Polestar 5 has good handling, but the race itself did not tickle my fancy.

The 296 GTB was a proper weapon for the Ferrari race in Yas Marina. The only threat was that yellow 812 Superfast.

"Hulkenberg" reminding his rivals that he once conquered Le Mans.

Racing Mediums, Fuel Map 1. DRS on straights, lift and coast whenever I can. Then pit on Lap 5 and swap for a new set of Mediums.

Yes, even the fastest lap was done with lifting and coasting.

6-star Car Ticket reward.

Decent weeks races although I made WTC 900 difficult for myself. Sunday Cup is not much trouble although the 356s can be fast if they don't get stuck beind other stuff. Pickup race was extremely easy and also not very interesting so I got it out the way quickly. One-make was just about doable with a stock car, just have to watch for the AI randomly braking in a few corners which can lose a lot of time. The Ferrari race was fun, like the track and decided to go with the F8 on SH to make it more of a challenge, 296 wasn't that easy to catch but still managed it, fun car to drive.

WTC 900 is where I made things a problem, went to use my real world spec Toyota GT-One and found the AI was impossible to catch running 3:36 average laps, was around 8 seconds off winning. Tweaked the setup and tried again but this time went about 10 seconds faster over the race and won by 40 seconds. Not quite sure how the AI can swing that far in overall race pace but apparently they can. Also decided to try another car I've on with previously, so I gave the Ferrari 812 a go and managed to win because the AI had to pit on lap 9 for more fuel yet they still ran out in the last sector of the last lap, I guess if you push them hard enough it causes some issues. I've run that race quite a few times now and managed to get significant rain once, wish it was a bit more common like the WTC 700 race.

Cars for this week:
full

I must search the tunes i use last year for the 900pp lemans race.
If i remember well i did it in less than 34minutes with at least two cars and perhaps 3 .
LM55gr1 Hyundai VGT gr1 and maybe and with Tomahawk gr1 .
Also i did it without stop ( not at 34's of course) with one car but must search the tread to find my settings and the cars i use exactly.

I haven't done the newly-added round of the Ferrari Circuit Challenge @ Yas Marina nor the WTC 900 round @ Le Mans, so I think I'll do those two in addition to the special Polestar 5 one-make. Specifically, I was likely going to use a tuned Ferrari 458 Italia and a Lexus RC F GT500.

F40 and LaFerrari done.

F40 had 699.96 on Sport Mediums. Best handling one so far due to high downforce but speed was a huge tradeoff.

LaFerrari ran on Sport Medium tires. 200 kg ballast (and besides, 2,767 lbs is clearly a giant marketing lie by Ferrari  ) and a slight power detune will bring it down to 699.61 pp. It was once a nightmare in GT Sport, but now a beast in 7 with a more composed handling.

My picks for the week:
weekly-challenge-202512w4-79-picks.webp

Four of five done. All on hard difficulty (so far)...

weekly-challenge-202512w4-79-r1.webp

Red Bull Ring - Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA) '89 - With the aero enhancements, the car was well over the suggested PP. Still, I could only manage a P2. That Porsche out front was way out of reach.

weekly-challenge-202512w4-79-r2.webp

Lake Louise - Ford F-150 SVT Raptor '11 - I added enough sports-level upgrades to get the truck up to the suggested PP. Made for an easy win.

weekly-challenge-202512w4-79-r3.webp

Deep Forest - Polestar 5 Performance '26 - Upgraded the tires to SS. Another easy win.

weekly-challenge-202512w4-79-r4.webp

Yas Marina - Ferrari 812 Superfast '17 - With the aero changes, the car was just under the PP limit, so I gave it a go on the stock SM tires. It took a couple laps and a few runs past some corners to figure out just how far back I need to brake in this car. Still an easy win.

weekly-challenge-202512w4-79-r5-fail.webp

Le Mans - Honda NSX CONCEPT-GT '16 - This is not the car that I would usually pick for this combo, but it is the only Gr.2 car I own on this account so far. And neither the CLK and GT-ONE are in the Legend Car Dealership. I tried a 5RM-5RM strategy. I had to save fuel fairly aggressively to get to 5 laps. It rained for a while, but not enough to change tires. Only managed a P5 in the end. I'll have to go back and try again. Not sure if I'll lower the difficulty level or try with a de-tuned Gr.C car. Either one should work, but I'm a bit bummed that it has come to that.
