probably does but im not totally sure because i turned asm and tcs off a couple of days after having it and in those 2 days i didnt do a rally i think so :trouble:

on a good GOOD attempt Im throught the first tunnel at about 155 ish ?? Ive managed to eliminate ALL the slipping and skidding and just kind of nurse it round !!!!

Are you just giving your speed or did you think I meant the tunnel?

oops - you said first corner didnt you !! DOH !

I m going on about the first tunnel

n/mind !!

actually what about the first tunnel for you ?

I've got a clean save for this week, I'll post the sectors up for it later.
And maybe even have another go as I know I can go faster, I've already been .5 up on my save but unclean so far :irked:

I tried it again and the answer is no. It's too crappy.

Ran for about half an hour and came up with 20.5 / 44.8, but it's questionable ..

I'll be happy if I can run a clean lap equal to that this week, as I haven't put much time in :)

Edit:

Another half-hour and I'm down to 20.1 / 44.2, but it's definitely dirty :irked:

Oh well ... it ought to be repeatable ...

Everytime I end up with a brillant first sector I get overexcited and blow the next set of corners.

I wish that goddamn sector time could be turned off.

Well I just got a keeper, but sadly, it's still not enough.

43.7, but still atleast .3 off of the pace it should be on.

Thats only my guess based on the results I've found from a dirty lap.

The dirty lap had a 43.9 and came out to be a time of "X"
The clean lap had a 43.7 and came out to be a time of "X + .1".

So with that in mind, I would say my 43.7 is more like a 44.0 in terms of final time. (all applying to the average racer... Im sure mr.p or odp could run my 43.7 to a time thats about .4 under my time.)

So thats my progress for now... btw, I think I have settled on a setup and now Im ready to race full on. :trouble:

Here's my time as it stands (even if I can manage to get a better time, I doubt I'll be able to submit it on time):
0'20.188
0'44.855

Hmm.. after not playing for a few days, I decided to give it another try. and after using P's settings as a base for my own, and 3 laps, i got my overall time 1.501 seconds lower! Thanks for posting your settings P, and everyone else for that matter.
T's soon to come.
*EDIT*
T1: '20.106
T2: '44.561

OK, but I'm sure I'll forget. Send me another PM using this name and explain the details.

Thanks. :)

My splits are 20.5 and 44.8. But I wasn't finding any of the handling problems everyone is claiming... My settings:
Springs 15.0/12.0
Ride Height 100/106
Damper B 6/5
Damper R 8/7
Camber 2.9/2.0
Toe -1.0/-0.5
Stabs 4/5
LSD 0/5 all round
TCS 1

It's perhaps a little understeery - especially in that lighter moment before T2, but it seems fine. Okay, so I'm not biting the bumper off you 43.xxx guys, but I'm getting 100% clean lap after 100% clean lap no worries.

Talentless - give my sets a whirl. They may work, they may not :D

Well in that case you soundly kicked my arse... And here's me giving YOU settings!

(based on now edited-out post :D)

Yeah, I realized I probably was wrong to announce that. Sorry about that.

Pff. I don't care. I already submitted my time...

But could you go a little slower next time, please?

Wait till odp and mr p submit times, gokents, etc. they're usually 1-1.5 seconds faster

i think faries give them advice.

Better take my name off that list talentless.
Although it is an honor just to see my name there with those two... thanks. ;)

However, I did come back to this thread for a reason... do any of you guys think you can go into the analyzer and give me your section 14 time ?

I don't know about mine, but right now I have 2 laps that are close and relatively fast. (its my clean keeper and my dirty fast lap)

One has a section 14 time of 6.0?? and one has a 5.8??

If any of you guys could post just your section 14 time that would be great.

And remember not to post anymore, I don't wanna get into the gray area of time discussion by posting several section times from the final third of the course. (that would be too close to discussing final times/ final split.)

So thanks a ton.

btw, unless there is a miracle on my side, I am turning in my current best. Consider my time submitted.
Later.

I have the run saved, but the ps2 is in use and i'm going to sleep soon. i'd get it if it was free.

It's cool. I got your pm. :D Nice 👍

As for anyone else, the question still stands... if you can post the anaylzer section 14 time, that would be cool, if not, no big deal.

Thanks again,
btw, time is now submitted.

Good luck fellas.

Since I'm 5% slower than you in that sector alone, I refuse to tell you. :D

Alright guys, thanks, anyone else that wants to throw their sect. 14 time out, feel free.

For now, with the collected data, Im gonna have to guess and say that odp & mr.p probably managed something like a 5.6/5.7 on that section. Of course, they may also have gotten a 6.0 like me, but I doubt it. lol.

Alright guys, thanks again, and like I said, my time is in, so good luck fellas.

finally scored a clean 20.0 / 44.3 that's less than a tenth off my personal best (dirty) lap time. I think that's gonna be about it for me this week.

I have to agree with famine, I didn't find this car to handle badly at all, I quite enjoyed it. And I have a whole new respect for DFII - I love this track now :D

Alright fellas, first off, the race ends tomorrow, so expect results early tuesday or late, late, tomorrow.

Thanks again to all who checked their replay data for me.

Luxy, glad to hear that, df2 is awesome and the car, although not great, isn't really all that bad. Just takes good tuning, proper threttle control and alot of patience. (of course, even then it's a bit off pace if you ask me.)

Anyway, keep up the good work fellas.
