Its winter here so we're safe at the moment, it's looking to be a potentially bad summer because it hasnt rained for so long. Last year we were lucky but the year before it was intense. Terrible fires in Canberra. Ill look for some pics.

Well, that fire's just about knocked out now. The I-5 (which is the only way to travel from L.A. to anywhere up north, unless you want to destroy your suspension traveling the Ridge Route or fall asleep on Lake Hughes) was closed for several hours though, so now it's bumper-to-bumper traffic for 20 miles.

Cool sage, the water dropper (the huge orange heli) just came back home, the fire and another fire heli came in, and some news helis just returned home, i was wondering what had happened when i saw the fire heli pass by, good thing everythign is A ok, what sucks is tonight we have to take the 5 up to buttonwillow for the kart races :-\

You don't need to remind me it's fire season. I've been clearing a lot of brush around the house that grew back from the last fire storm. This is the time of year I clear out as much as I can. This house should be fine for the Fourth. But, I will clear out more brush near the end of summer. Doing that last year saved my house from burning down!
