What all new cars do you want to see in GT7?

GT7 really lacks rally cars so I‘d love to see more licensed WRC & Rally2 cars in the game. I can only assume PD aren‘t able to due to EA having an exclusive license for their WRC games. On the other hand we got the Lancia Delta Rally Car so who knows.

Of course some of the OG classics would be great as well:

This is one area I hope they don’t expand, I feel like their rally portion leaves something to be desired. I don’t remember what game it was I had on PC years ago but it was strictly rally and it was much better than GT7’s rally experience and that was years ago. Nice long tracks, in mountains, not loops but point A to point B. In fact I hope for GT8 they just drop it all together.

To each their own though. I would rather prefer they seperate their game into three different games with more focus on these kinds of areas. Gran Turismo Rally Racing. Gran Turismo Historic Racing. Gran Turismo 8.

Seems people want the new cars for competition leaving the old stuff just kind of collector items that you have to work at creating your own class. Then for rally as you say, there’s some stuff there but not that much. So I’d rather them revamp GT8 and then have two other titles focusing on the other areas. Same game engine, just different experience and not all cobbled into one game.

Here me out: Circuito de la Sierra dirt version. Would feel like a proper rally course (albeit not point to point and with wider roads most of the time IIRC).

I might be in the minority but I've always liked that GT has rally, even if they don't do it super well. Tahiti Maze is the quintessential example of rally in GT to me and I remember driving on it a bit as a kid, and sucking at it lol. But yeah, I'd personally like them to keep it, I can understand cutting it though if they feel the juice isn't worth the squeeze based on community sentiment.

I’ve always enjoyed Gran Turismo but for various reasons. But the fact that they’ve always tried to throw in everything including the kitchen sink isn’t one of them.

Anyway I suppose that’s for another thread, not this one. I always find myself coming back to this forum repeating myself, sometimes I’ve even forgotten what I’ve said.

As for this thread, I don’t think I can keep track of what cars have been in Gran Turismo. I’d just like to see more well rounded matched up vehicle groups. Take muscle cars. We’ve had a lot of muscle cars collectively over the years but never all in one game. And they always cherry pick iconic ones versus all of these went head to head. Granted it’s tough because there were all kinds of engine options back then, but then I say just go all small blocks or all big blocks. One or the other. It’s a “real driving simulator” but it’s a racing game, do the heavy lifting for us performance wise on choosing competitive cars, class big groups of cars (genres) together and let the fun begin.

The Ford Focus Rally would be an awesome addition to GT7! Could be paired to the Delta and Impreza available in Legendary Dealership.
Also, I like the suggestion of a new Skoda, it’s a pity there is only the VGT available without any real life car.

Same, I also really liked Costa di Amalfi in GT4, it would be awesome if the track returned to GT7 in addition to new rally cars.

Absolutely, I really hope PD add a few current Skoda cars in the near future. I mean why would they come to a licensing acreement with the brand to only add a single VGT car? Doesn‘t really make sense to me.

Alright alright, just the Yaris, i20N & Fabia then. 😂

While I love rally and the cars across several eras, I would rather not see more rally in Gran Turismo as it is absolutely awful. I have always felt it is there to tick a box for marketing purposes.

We have enough road cars so the newest race cars in different classes would be welcome. The label "all new" means including new models of existing cars or completely new cars? The most popular new car suggestions are often faster cars, but not necessarily the type that gets listed among the best times at NBR.

Edit: If the first post defines the "new cars" categories, then new models are also within the scope.
We could get some new cars that the community wants if PDI just stopped the inclusion of EV cars & heavy cars, & slow cars etc.
I might suggest the same cars I did earlier, or perhaps some new ones even if I don't remember the ones I suggested already..!!

Watching some Super Taikyu team videos from Round 1 at Motegi. I’d really like to see the Roadster RF(another ND?!) get added. Now, I definitely want to the NB to arrive first, but we’ve pretty much got every car to build an S-Tai grid. The RF would be much better than an open top ROADTSER. So we could at least have the shape as the after, arket cover on the S-Tai cars.

Another car would be the Honda Fit. Wouldn’t be a popular choices, but the latest version would be useful.

Personally I’d like see more touring cars, since the seem the most accessible for the masses, I mean, we don’t even at the moment take full advantage of the gr4 we have! But I’d like to see TCR, BTCC and lower level racing cars like Clio cup, Mini and weekly races based on those, as well as the Gr3 cars.

It’s about time they were updated I would say

The way PD add cars, just give me the road going versions of the race cars. I’ll do the rest. I mean, I won’t be thrilled to not have official touring cars, but I’ll make it happen for my enjoyment.

At first, I was happy with the Elantra TCR. Then, the reality of GT SOPHY having to learn cars before they can be added to GT SOPHY settings. New cars get added to the back of the queue.
Anyway, more Eighties and Nineties 1.8L-2.0L cars would be dreams fulfilled.

I would like them to add the Alfa 75 (Milan) turbo evo and the bmw m4 gt3.In addition I would like more circuits where I can compete with sophy, maybe the 3.0

You know, it's always puzzled me that the series never featured the original Subaru Legacy (BC generation) across any of the games. Not one of the OG Legacy models, let alone the RS Type RA. Given the car's history on gravel, you'd think it'd be an easy addition to the series, but Polyphony has always been strange when it comes to car additions, specially in GT7.
I still hope it gets a spot in Gran Turismo 7. If it does, it needs to have the EJ20 from the Impreza WRC car as an available engine swap, and not the stupid LS7 Turbo swap, Rampage, Maverick, or really American V8 swap.

missing in gt7 from older games?
That wouldn't be "all-new", so not suitable for this thread.

And the specific reason is licensing and/or access to scan a new model fit for at least the current 8K generation.
