I'm in a mood for some great 1970s sax solos.

Steely Dan - FM - extended edit featuring the full version of both Walter Becker's guitar solo and Pete Christlieb's sax solo.

Jerry Rafferty - Baker Street featuring the sax genius of Rafael Ravenscroft. He suggested he play the solo on his alto sax he had in his car. It was slightly out of tune (flat), but it ended up being one of the most recognizable sax solos in rock music history and sparked a mini boom in sales of saxophones.

All Stewart - Year of the Cat - Phil Kenzie on alto sax.

Supertramp - From Now On - Saxophonist John Anthony Helliwell wasn't a studio musician but a full time member of the band.

Van Morrison - Moondance - Sax solos by Jack Schroer on alto and Collin Tilton on tenor. Whatever Morrison has become these days, there's no denying he was a genius fifty years ago.
