I don't have the album. (but don't tell Duke that;)) I only have a handful of their songs. All of which I really like though.

You should check out "Cradle" and "Cultivate" because they are really good.

But I am not going to tell you to download them because that is wrong. (but not illegal where I am;))

You listen to too much country! Dan Hicks is cool, nonetheless.

The Rapture - The Coming Of Spring
But see, I listen to country music, not Country Music. There's a crucial difference.

The Rapture is cool, too. I may just put a crowbar in my wallet and buy the CD instead of hoping it comes on the radio.

Hey, do you have any idea of who does the music for the breath mint commercial where the chick eats a mint, and blows on the subway window so she can write her number for some loser standing on the platform? I keep wanting to say it's Belle & Sebastian, but I'm not sure.

[edit] Ah, I figured it out! Papas Fritas. How could I forget? [/edit]

AdTunes is a great website. There hasn't been a song from a commercial I couldn't find there.

Deep Puddly Dynamics - The Speech Song. Beat that on the obscur-o-meter.

EDIT: You made me search for the song and you knew it all along!? Unacceptable. Well, I've never heard the song, so I'll check it out.

Humble apologies. I believe it's called Way You Walk. Papas Fritas make pretty laid-back, poppy songs, but they're good.

No worries, mate (apparently I'm Australian). Yeah, if you click on the link in my previous post it says the song is Way You Walk.

Sigur Ros - Vidrar Vel Til Loftarasa. This song takes too long to actually do something. It's ten minutes long and the first two minutes are so quiet.

[curly] Nevah hoid of 'em. [/curly] Any good?

The Bobs - Tweak Your Peak

If you like spacey, experimental and soothing pop, then yes. Oh, and they're Icelandic. Heh. They're an acquired taste for sure. I'd suggest sampling them before you went out and bought any of their music. I think that you might like them.

I'd suggest the following songs from Ágætis Byrjun: Svefn-G-Englar, Flugufrelsarinn, Starálfur and Ný Batterí are my favorites. Yes, those are all spelled correctly. And yes, the lyrics are all in Icelandic.

The CD packaging of their latest album is quite cool, too. The title of the album is ( ). Yep, a set of parentheses. It has a neat sleeve like that of Tool's Lateralus, and there are no song titles anywhere on the CD or in the packaging. It's very abstract.

Edit: You can actually download some of their songs from their website: http://www.sigur-ros.co.uk/index.html

Coldplay - Clocks

NineHead - Guaranteed

A pretty good local band. Their saving grace is that they don't take themselves seriously at all. Plenty of free downloads, and they'll even send you a free CD if you give them your three-dimensional address.
