I used to live in Venezuela, and gasoline there was almost a giveaway... something like 0.014 US dollars per litre, which would be about 0.056 per gallon. I could fill my Mustang (60 litre tank) with about 3$ or so. That's for 95 octane unleaded.

Nowadays I live in the Canary Islands, and gasoline here 0,789€ per litre. (gasoline prices are free market) The wife works for Texaco and that's the price they have right now.

$2.60 here. Not exactly best for my 3.8 Straight Six... Yesterday, in 4 hours, it went up 6 cents.:scared:

1 litre Shell V-Power / Aral Ultimate 100 Octan fuel : 1,43 EUR = 1,75 US$ per litre
> 1 gallon = 3,8 litre > 6,70 US per gallon

My Sti needs about 12 - 16 litres / 100 km (60 miles), when I push the pedal to the metal up to 25 litres/ 100 km ....

As you can imagine that takes out the fun a little bit...

Payed $2.81 for 93 oct today for the bike. Took about 10 bucks to fill her up. But hey I can almost get 200 miles out of that 10 bucks. Its sometimes good to have a 600cc, instead of a 1000cc.

Hence the reason I am using my bike a lot more now. She is becoming more of a daily driver, then just a luxury toy.

Thankfully, I was able to find a place that was cheaper at $2.75 ( down from $2.79 :dopey: ) and I got 28.5 mpg too. :D

High octane is getting closer and closer (percentage wise) to regular octane as the price goes up. Eventually nobody will buy regular because "what's another 20 cents" to get the good stuff right? I mean if you're dropping 6 bucks per gallon on gas, what's another 20 cents. The offset seems to be constant over here.

What's the differential between high octane and regular in the UK?

It's about 89.9p per litre for regular last time I check, although it might've gone up by now - I'll check when I fill up tomorrow. At Shell, Optimax is 95.9p. They genereally go up at the same rate, so it's 6p per litre.

I can fill my Mini on less than £18 - from running on fumes to well above the full mark. Of course, my tank is only 4 gallons max, but I can still get about 160 miles out of it. 40mpg isn't too bad.

Wahooo! I filled in Warren today for the low low price of $2.55 a gallon. So it cost me an arm but I was able to keep my leg . Anyways the highest I saw today was on Woodward around the Birmingham area, 2.99 for regular.

Greedy Middle-Eastern countries, they found a new and better way to screw us rather then terrorism.

I just find it amazing that us from the UK have to pay nearly twice as much as you.

You complain about the prices getting too high there, what about here! :(

Well think about it a year and a half ago we were paying 1.20 at most for regular, now we are paying close to $3. With that kind of price hike, you would complain to.

Yeah, me and Blazin have already had that conversation. I let him have it after he said it was higher than what he's used to, which is fair enough.

I'm still jealous, though.

I saw a £1 a litre (for premium) for the first time in a service station on the M4 last month. Needless to say, I avoided it.

Most of the stations around Leavenworth, KS are running $2.65 USD per gallon.
One of the stations here is giving fre car washes with a fill up.
So, my truck is costing a goodly bit more to fill than it used to.
However, it's also cleaner than it's been in a while.

I'm trying to sell the wife on the idea of his 'n hers TDI Jettas.:D
But deisel around here is just as expensive as regular at most places, if not more.
But the 46 MPG is very tempting.

I wanted a TDI for a while, but I couldn't get over that intial cost. Plus I dislike the look of the MkV Jettas and I couldn't find an MKIV with decent miles.

But seriously, I pay about $3 for 92 Octane. :indiff:

Last time I went it was 96.9 for regular and 99.9 the 89 octane. At the same time the other places were all at rediculous stuff like 105.9 and 106.9. Now it's even worst it's now up to 110+ and not stoping either. :guilty: But my little special place is still under the 100 mark. :)

Started going down today, saw it for $2.50

Paid 2.56 today for regular, but with the hurricane coming the news said gas will be topping 3 bucks by the end of the week. I'm so utterly pissed off at the government for not stepping in an doing something. Hell even the Michigan government could do something.

I sick of you Europeans telling us we need to quite complaining. I want all of you to realize that no more then two years ago gas was 1.25 a gallon. Gas shouldn't go up almost 200% now should it? You have to remeber here in the US we were at prices around a buck for the longest time, then all of a sudden it jumped up. How don't you people understand that?

And you can complain about the gas, in fact the only people who can't complain are the god damn OPEC countries who feel the need to rape the world.

60 euros for 50litres minimal.. freaking expensive here O_o

(And America is ruining the world with their v8's.. There are too many in America.. Much diesel cars.. Diesel is much cheaper... Am I right?)

I live in Oregon, and I do hear you. When is the last time something you depend on increased it's price by over 100%. What's next, $8 Big Mac Meal?(Medium Sized). :p

On OPEC, do you really think it's solely OPEC's fault? I'm pretty sure there are few politicians and oil companies in America, who are laughing all the way to the bank becaue of this. They forecast the problem they are going to have(wars, storms, etc.), to increase the prices. Shouldn't the oil prices be rising, after the effect?

Edit:
I forgot to add. Doesn't the gas companies raise the prices(at least in the U.S.) during the summer, due to the increased demand? I don't like that either.

Another Edit:

sn00pie
12 cents/ per gallon in Venezuela. How's that possible, even with the government owned gas company?
