It's about 3.25 a gallon around me, but I saw it for 3.55 today and about cried.

 If it goes to $4.00 are you gonna take out a gun? At this rate we might actually get there... :dopey:

There is a good possiblity, I think I will puke if it goes to 4 bucks...but they opened the oil reserves so I would say after the weekend it will go down.

My local TV station told me that I can expect 4.19-4.49 for premo later this week, since nearly 100% of our refined oil is comin' from Gulf Coast refinerys that are out of comission.

Opened oil reserves... that actually doesn't sound good. 💡

Reminds me of Supersize Me when the guy got on the scale after going up and up only to find this time that he LOST weight. He thought that was good when in fact it was very bad... GRIM...

Just filled up on my way home. It was around 2.65/per gallon.

A little off topic but with the recent tragic events and the news that we are going to dip into "reserves" as well as skyrocketing prices I feel it is my duty as an environmentally conscious citizen of this planet as well as a car love to try and not drive as much as I can by taking a ****ty light rail train and/or riding my bike in place of my car as much as possible for resourses sake. :scared: I don't remember what the 70's-80's gas "shortage" was like but I do remember seening a couple of pics and those are enough to make me real worried. There are too many similarities from that time. :grumpy:

It's been announced by the oil companies that the gas will hike about 15 cents/liter tomorrow because of the hurricane Katrina.
So we'll be paying ~1.45€/liter which is roughly $6,85USD/Gallon.

I still remember when the gas cost about an euro a litre and diesel cost half that, not too long ago. :indiff:

These god damn people are screwing the world you know that? I don't know who to blame first, I think I'll start with Middle Eastern countries and then go on to the South American countries that produce oil. I filled up today and paid $3.55 a gallon.

And I know you guys in Europe think its "cheap", but think about it, you've always paid more then us. I'm frankly sick of these oil rich countries screwing us none oil rich countries.

:scared: Wow, Ain't that a very American comment. I think that might be one reason all other countries hate us. But I suppose I agree on some levels.

First off before anyone says it...it isn't Bush's fault, it isn't even the governments fault. I know someone will say something about this for whatever reason.

But no thats not an American commment...thats a pissed off consumer comment. I bet someone in Europe who just paid 70 bucks to fill up their Volkswagen would feel the same way.

American... Consumer... sounds the same to me. :dopey:

Actually, only 7-10 percent of our refining capacity has been lost, but gas prices are extremely elastic to supply and demand.

But you guys do have oil fields... Maybe not Middle eastern in size but you have them.

There's a few oil refineries a few miles form me but if the supply to them is cut we have no petrol (gas) in Wales and most of England :nervous:

We're on good terms with England, Eastern Europe, Australia, and many other countries. The Iraqis have repeatedly begged us not to pull out too soon. I think we're doing just fine on the world stage. (Yeah, industrialized countries consume a lot of oil. But that's because industrialized countries make almost all of everything).

$3.39 for the Premium... :scared: We've had an .80 increase in two days.....

Maybe that would be a good thing for England though. If you guys ran short on oil you could lead the way in engineering innovation to work around your lack of oil. Then, when the rest of the world runs out of oil, they'll be lining up to pay for your new efficient products. England would be the economic powerhouse of the world...

Except someone would give the idea to Rover and it'd not see light of day until someone else finished it first.

Exactly like happened with the jet engine.

Northwest, we just went up another .11 cents today. Premium is up to 3.059 and diesel is steady as a crack addict at 2.999 per gallon.

I saw $2.95-$3.69 for regular here in the 'burbs outside of NYC. I stoped at someplace that had regular for $3.19. I've seen Premium as high as $4.02 in Manhattan.

Two days ago it was only $2.56 for regular here in the 'burbs north of Manhattan.

Think it was about 91.9p (standard 95 octane unleaded) a litre when I filled up my car the other day. Pump no doubt added a couple of extra pounds as normal when the pump clicked off twice :grumpy:

Saying us Europeans shouldn't complain because we've always paid loads is quite frankly silly. If anything that should mean we should complain more

If I could drive around in a massive V8 truck that does 14MPG that costs about the same as my 1.2 litre hatchback to run, I wouldn't be complaining when I compared my position to the rest of the world...

I'm suprised if its true that petrols even more expensive in the Netherlands? I remember hearing how fuel in the UK was the most expensive in Europe? or maybe it was the most taxed? If I remember rightly 9/10s of UK fuel cost is down to fuel duty. Yay, way to go stealth taxes!!1

Personally I'm gonna buy my big petrol guzzling (or a compact executive economical if you live in the US ;) ) Volvo and enjoy it while I can :sly:

2.99/gallon here in Tennessee. I've heard rumors of rationing in the near future. :nervous: :scared: I'm just glad my ZX gets 30mpg/highway, 23mpg/city and has a 19 gallon tank. It's full and I won't have to fill it up for a month.

3.49 today, I'm thrilled literally.

It should be ending soon, the oil companies are giving money and oil to the United States. I've read that by the end of next week we will be seeing in Michigan at least 2.79 a gallon...which is sad when I consider that cheap.
