Prices went up today to $1.39 per litre :(
Same here.. What state?

Can someone convert all these figures so we know who's paying the most/least?
Maybe have it in the first post..

I've got to say, I don't really give a flying **** what happens with petrol prices. I get 25% OFF!.. and eventually it will be FREE.. hahaha :sly:

I laugh at those people with their 4c OFF shop-a-dockets. Buying $30 saves you $1.25.. I save $7.50!!.. bwhahaha.. Thanks BP.. keeps me on the move.. :dopey:

GO ULTIMATE!! 👍

 did they have to change their signs? Most I see only go up to 99.9

 They are having to update all the petrol station boards across the UK because they were only ever designed to carry 3 figures.....now they have to attach the £1 in front of it!.......I guess they never thought the day would come eh!

$1.60 here now.

47% of our gas is tax that goes straight to the government. Then add 12.5% for G.S.T.

w00t, lets pay tax on tax!

Nice to know you guys ae still stuck with some British ways :dopey:

The higher the price at refining the more tax and that pushes it higher again!

Our roads are the worst roads in the entire country.

I say SC and Michigan should have a battle to see who truly has the worst roads in the US. :p The roads here aren't ridden with potholes, but the rural roads are narrow and don't have lights on them for night driving. :scared:

Ah hell we have pot holes that your car will fall into an never come out. Plus our back roads, well I can foget about going down some of them.

I only encountered 1 giant pothole down here. I had to turn the car around because I wasn't about to screw up the car. :p The true rural roads here are barely wide enough for 2 cars.

If you can find any gas station in london that still has fuel I will tell you but before they all ran out it stoof t 98p per litre.

Holy crap gas is 2.65 around me now, what a difference a week makes.

It's dropping fast around here...down to 2.47 today

Why not learn something from this scare...? Rather than just saying "Oh, good, the price has come down, now I can afford to waste more for the same price"

Learn what? I still have to drive hundreds of miles a week. No body wastes gas, I mean its stupid to do that. But I have to drive so I will.

Why would I buy a car that I don't like? I liked the Blazer so I bought it. I refuse to buy a small little car that I would hate. Plus when I bought the Blazer gas was what...1.25 a gallon.

Ok, a Blazer is fine and all but how is a Hummer ever justifiable in anyway?? The "oh, I needed the room for kids" and "I go offroading" bull**** routine doesn't work. :dunce:

Hummers aren't real usefull and are a bastard to try and park. I've driven the H2 and don't much like it, the H3 is nothing more then a Colorado in Hummer clothes, and the H1 is pretty much rough sex on wheels.

In the future when petrol costs 10 or 15 dollars per litre (even in the US), you'll have a hard time running your Blazer.

I liked the Blazer so I bought it. I refuse to buy a small little car that I would hate.

A fair point, but as above, in the future you might grow to hate the Blazer too

Plus when I bought the Blazer gas was what...1.25 a gallon.

That's exactly my point. The price of petrol was low then but you probably knew (or should have known) it was going to increase in the (not so far off) future. The attitude of "It's cheap now so why should I worry about it in the future" only exacerbates the situation.

In England lately there has been/was a big petrol scare. People were told there wasn't a lot of petrol available to them, so what did they do? Go out and fill their tanks instead of just buying the usual £10 or £15. What does that do to the situation? Makes it worse.

Oh, I don't expect you to take any notice of this. Posts of this kind (i.e. "You should be ashamed of yourself/You're so selfish/You're wrong and I'm right/I'm holier than thou" etc) usually fall on deaf ears

Why is a Blazer more justifiable than a Hummer (or conversely, why is a Hummer less justifiable than a Blazer)?

 Why is it bad to be obese? :dunce: I think that was a pretty stupid question. :dopey:

I won't have the Blazer that long, and gas prices will NEVER be that high. Another source of fuel will be used instead. Trust me no body would pay 10 bucks a liter or 30 bucks a gallon for gas...ever!

A fair point, but as above, in the future you might grow to hate the Blazer too

It will be sold soon any ways. The miles are growing on it and the warrenty is up in Feb. of 2006. It's stupid to keep a car with no warrenty.

You do realize gas prices jumped way up in a matter of like 3 months right? Hell at the beginning of the year I was paying like 1.50 or something, last week I was paying 3.50. Now it's going back down and should be around 2.00 at the end of the month. And why would I worry about the future? I'll cross the bridge when I come to it, but I only live once and I'm buying what makes me happy. I would take the Blazer over a Prius any day.

Nope doesn't fall to deaf ears, but I'm not wrong, I'm not ashamed of myself, I'm not selfish, and I'm not holier then anyone...hell I'm not even holy.

It's all relative. The H2 might weight 3 tonnes (or whatever it is), but what does the Blazer weigh? Aren't they both as bad as each other?

Blazer 18mpg in the city/ 24 on the freeway

Hummer H1 7mpg in the city/ 13 on the freeway
Hummer H2 10 in the city/ 15 on the freeway
Hummer H3 15 in the city / 19 on the freeway

well... 12mpg is obviously better than 4mpg especially when it comes to distance consumption. :dopey: Then you got the size of the ridculously big tires that create a lot more friction, and wall for aerodynamics.
