I'm in a Conjuring marathon of sorts, and I'm playing them in order right before I go to sleep. đź’€
At least you're guaranteed to have sound now
Pi (1998) Directed by Darren Aronofsky
Brilliant film. Hugely underrated. Hugely misunderstood by the general public. One of Darren Aronofsky's best films.
That is quite the disparate list there.I haven't seen it but it's on my 1,001 movies list.
And how's this for an odd back to back to back 1998 threesome:
Pi
There's Something About Mary
Saving Private Ryan

I HIGHLY recommend you make time for "Pi". Move it up the list, as it were. It's an incredible film.
Another brilliant film that I watch every few years is the 1990 cult classic "Jacob's Ladder". One of my favourite films of all time. Whatever you do steer clear of the remake from 2019. The writers/director REALLY didn't understand the original film and it REALLY shows. Avoid like the plague.

It's such a hauntingly beautiful ending. It gets me every time. The score is incredible as well.Jacob's Ladder had the creepiest ending. I read Adrian Lyne fought to keep it. I guess he was a fan of Ambrose Bierce's short story An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge (1890).
That man looks like Harry Potter. The one in the thumbnail for the video you posted, Wow.
The score is incredible as well.

A fab choice 👍Thunderbirds S01E01: Trapped In The Sky.
This is the ITV 50th anniversary Blu-Ray release so I'm not sure whether the recent 60th Anniversary box-set is any better in quality. For a remaster this is more than good enough for me though.
No Planes, Trains and Automobiles?Yeah. Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, Spaceballs, The Blues Brothers, Stripes, Brewster’s Millions and voice work in Rescuers Down Under are my top favourites with him in those movies.
I was humming and hawing about the 60th box set but ninety quid is a lot of money for a few shots of puppeteers' hands and a fancy episode guide. They don't even include the two feature films as MGM/UA own the rights. Hopefully @AEKara38 will post a few internal shots of the book when it arrives in December to show the rest of us what we're missing out on.A fab choice 👍![]()
Just the highway scene for me.No Planes, Trains and Automobiles?
I never realised that this was the first ever episode! It's the one that sticks in my mind the most as i remember watching it as a kid. As a re-run, obviously, i'm not that old.Thunderbirds S01E01: Trapped In The Sky.
It was a lot more exciting in my memory. Fortunately things pick up within a couple of episodes or three as the Anderson crew find their feet. My guess is that Lew Grade's edict that each episode should be fifty minutes instead of twenty screwed mightily with their pacing.I never realised that this was the first ever episode!
