I was wondering. How do you, my fellow drifters, have your controller set up?

When replying, just copy&paste this list bellow. Without the spacing in the BB coding.

L2 -
L1 -
Up DPAD -
Down DPAD -
Left DPAD -
Right DPAD -
Select -
Left Analog -
L3 -

R3 -
Right Analog -
Start -
Circle -
Square -
X -
Triangle -
R1 -
R2 -
[/ LEFT][/ B]

Here is mine. My apologies in advance, I don't remember all the buttons :

L2 - Brake
L1 - Look back
Up DPAD - ?
Down DPAD - ?
Left DPAD - ?
Right DPAD - ?
Select - ?
Left Analog - Steer
L3 - Horn

R3 - Windshield wipers
Right Analog - Look left and right
Start - obviously start
Circle - Shift up
Square - Shift down
X - Handbrake
Triangle - Reverse
R1 - Change camera
R2 - Throttle

For controller the only thing I have changed is that I made the right analogue handbrake. It would possibly be more beneficial to use the stick for accel/brake or the L2 and R2 buttons but the X and Square button do a good enough job as they aren't just on/off switches, you can modulate pressure for different throttle/braking inputs

When I still used DS i used this:

L2 - Shift down
L1 - Look rear
Up DPAD - /
Down DPAD - /
Left DPAD - look left
Right DPAD - look right
Select - Change view
Left Analog - Steering
L3 - Horn
R3 - Windscreen Wipers
Right Analog - /
Start - Pause
Circle - Handbrake
Square - Brake
X - Throttle
Triangle - Lights
R1 - Some sort of lights as well. Different type then Triangle
R2 - Shift up.

For me it's:

Big right pedal go faster moar smoke!
Slightly smaller middle pedal ho-ho-hold the 🤬 up!
Slightly smaller again left pedal, clutch kicking, balls tripping, panty dropping hoes.

Big circle thing I hold with two hands and spin violently turns my two front wheels.

Sorry, just had to post for wheel users :sly:

For me at the minute:
Big right pedal: spins out car
Slightly smaller middle pedal: Locks brakes
Slightly smaller again left pedal: Causes stalling and shifting issues

Big circle thing I hold with two hands and spin violently helps spin my car off track

I know. "Dude wtf, why down shift on triangle?!?!"
Explanation: My last controller had a nasty problem where if I pushed on the L3 button, it would push the L1 L2 L3 and all the directional buttons at the same time. You can understand my frustration at this when during a drift I would push the L3 under the stick by accident and cause my car to suddenly stop, honk the horn, and turn the view backwards all at once. So I changed the controls to make it so that if I pushed the L3 button it would only stop the car. Recently I got a new controller which is why I have the view change buttons back on the directional pad. I got so used to having triangle as down shift that I never bothered to change it back.

TLDR: my controller was broken therefore 🤬 controls.
