I have heard a lot of people talking about camera angles in GT5, and I was wondering what one people will use in the game.

Thanks to FORZA3 I have come to love bumper/cockpit camera. The difference is night and day. With chase cam it's a lot harder to judge corners and speeds. It almost feels as it though the understeer effect is taken away with cockpit camera. Don't know how to explain it.

I've always been a 3rd person viewer in the GT series. Ever since day one.

I used to use the same angle from literally day 1 in GT all the way until I 'found' a 'copy' of GT4 Prologue. There were these slalom tests in either an S2000 or Z4 and I just couldn't for the life of me gold them. I then switched to the hood view and realized how much room is actually there to push the car a little harder and got back to back golds once I did that small change. Now I'm (usually) hood view and bumper cam is okay too. You should really give it a try, imo.

Hood view, Since I will be using a wheel in the living room, hood view will be a perfect match.

You play NFS in 3rd person view... you drive cars from the driver's seat.

Problem is making the virtual driver's seat as good as the real one. I'd race solely in the cockpit, as I do in flight sims, but GT5P's interior view did not warrant the best racing. Chase view lets me see other drivers around me and exactly how much room I have to maneuver. As an added bonus, it gives me the best view to judge where I am in relation to the racing line, apex, and the edge of the track.

I usually use roof cam because its feels better in a way, but when GT5 comes, interior!!! On certain cars I guess..

I use interior for racing and bumper for time trials but i can't vote for both so i voted for the interior view because my t.v is higher than my wheel stand and i feel really immersed since i can't see my wheel anyways.

Hood/Bumper/Chase view don't exist for me.

My head is in the cockpit with headtracking, some visual limitations and less high frequencies coming from the engine.

Always interior. It gives me a feeling I'm sitting behind the wheel of real car.

Yeah. For me, I want the most realistic experience of driving a car. That would include experiencing the interior of the car!

Unless the cockpit view is adjustable (personally dislike having 2 wheels in my field of view), it will be mainly bumper cam here.

Interior view only, don't care for the whole real or not debate, it's the camera angle which gives me the most complete and enjoyable experience.
Taking the loss of some view and loss of some fractions of seconds for granted.
And the modelling is superbly detailed, it's the thing i'm looking forward to the most honestly, all those 950 cars in GT5 being playable from within the interior.

Can't wait.........well, i have to;)

If available, hood view. It's the only one that has the camera at roughly the right height yet does not have half the screen taken up by pretty interiors. Sure I'll check out the interiors on all the cars I buy, and maybe some of them I might prefer cockpit view, but for the most part, hood cam is were it's at for me, followed closely by bumper cam.

I voted hood view
But It depends: Racing: hood view ok without the hood,
bumper view if it isn't to low (GT5P was fine)
Not so seroius driving (nothing at stake):
i will choose interior cam, but it would be soo sweet if it's adjustable, bacause of the 2 wheel problem.
I hope the head tracking applies to all cams!!?

Please enough with these stupid threads and polls! And i think there is a thread for this topic anyway

Why do you respond then? some people seem to enjoy them.
Oh well.. at least it´s better than "What controller configuration will you use in GT5" thing.

Are you wearing shoes or socks while playing gt5???

Interior view for sure, it's much more fun, I'm faster using chase cam, but using it makes the game boring at certain point.

People around GTP say that interior cam is restrictive but every car has blind spots and you can see only through the windshield so Interior cam is really the view which can simulate a driving experience. No car has full rear visibility as chase cam does, interior cam simulates that very well too, you see almost nothing when looking behind in a ford GT, and that's the way the car was designed to be and to feel for the driver.

The chase cam removes the ride height sensation too, because you just see your car eating asphalt, when using interior cam you can see how low the GT is compared to a 599 and I think that this is a great, chase cam helps to concentrate by removing some sensations, but is boring to use after a couple of hours.

When using chase cam you're faster, but you're losing details that make the game so interesting. So, Interior cam to me forever!

After trying wonderful interior view in GT5P, I'm trapped. Switching to another view now leads me suddenly to think I'm playing some stupid game, not driving a car.
