I don't know, it depends.

If I buy a wheel by the time I get GT5, I will attempt both cockpit view and bumper cam. If I can't use bumper cam I will stick with cockpit.

If I don't buy a wheel, I will use cockpit, but I know, I will eventually stray back to chase cam/first person view. I would prefer it to be dynamic, the same way GT3 was (I don't have GTPSP, not sure about that). Dynamic as in rotate the camera slower than the car so you see the side panels.

I try to use chase cam in games like Need for Speed, and the 'dynamic' camera angle makes it impossible to drive properly, because it moves back as you speed up to give you a false sense of speed.

I'm gonna stick with bumper view unless I buy a wheel for GT, but if I buy one I may switch to another angle.

Well, since they haven't said jack diddly of whats in the game, and it's still not out, how can I choose without knowing exactly what camera angles will be available? Not to mention, how each will look while driving myself, rather than watching recordings of others playing?

Any true fan racing game fan should ONLY choose the cockpit cam. Every other view should be removed so to force people into choosing the cockpit view. GT is a racing simulation. Anybody playing it any other way should be ashamed of themselves and go back to playing Outrun.

Racing "game" fan? Or do you mean "racing fan"?
Doesn't take much to be a racing game fan - nor does it require a need for cockpit view.

And the award for dumb, opinionated post of the decade goes to ...

Up until GT5 Prologue I've always played using the chase cam. With prologue I fell in love with the interior view and now I can't go back.

Sorry, but although i agree with you on the use of interior view as the preferable option, i only use interior view, it should definitely not be mandatory, GT is all about options and choosing the experience which suits you best.
If you started to force people to "choose" ( bit of a contradiction, isn't it? ) GT would become a Soviet-Sim.

I think it is funny how interior camera is seen as the most realistic camera and I can see how that has come. But I'm already holding my wheel and the TV is my windshield, not my eyes. Dont need a second animated wheel in front of me or an extra windshield.

Hood cam for the win!

lol, why would I want two steering wheels infront of me?

Interior view for me is far to restrictive unless you are right by the screen. Since I have my own wheel and half decent hand animations built into my body I will use bumper.

Any true fan racing game Dennys fan should ONLY choose the cockpit cam scrambled eggs. Every other view egg should be removed so to force people into choosing the cockpit view scrambled. GT Dennys is a racing simulation great place to get breakfast. Anybody playing eating it any other way should be ashamed of themselves and go back to playing Outrun eating at McDonalds.

If GT forced me to use the cockpit cam I wouldn't even waste my money on it.

bumper view for me. Although, it's not a bumper view is it? it's more of a bonnet view but without the bonnet visible. I've tried the cockpit many times but I feel more engaged with the track in 'bumper' view and I get my best lap times there too.

 , comrade Kazunori was censored about the release date.

Interior view is great, but I just don't know where the tires are when using it, bumper is far more easier to play. And the TT demo interior cam was much more lively and bouncy than prologue's, a nice improvement I will only use it too.

The problem with interior cam in Prologue is that you can't communicate very well with the car, although the FFB is great, I need my eyes to see when the car is losing traction, and bumper cam is far better than interior cam in this aspect.

I would buy GT4 again at full price if the re-released it with cockpit view. It's the only part of that game i think "damn i wish it had this".

I'll generally use hood/ bumper cam for those tight situations.

occasionally use interior and outside views so i can awe at my car, and listen to beautiful exhaust notes.

I'll be using the Interior View most the time. It feels more realistic to me and I feel more sense of how the can is going to handle. I always use this view in racing games if the option is available as not all racing games have the interior view.

Oops. Guess I ruffled a few feathers with that comment. Wasn't my intention, honestly! It just grates me when I see people playing a game like GT from the stupid chase cam. Polyphony have done a great job in "putting" you in the car with the cockpit view, with sound as well as visuals(if Prologue is anything to go by). I just hope everybody at least tries it. I can't play GT4 now because of no interior view. I even use that view on the PSP version. Sorry everybody!

interior for me...

I don't get how a lot of people want to have the perfect simulator but then play gt5p with the bumpercam :D

Apology accepted ;), i actually feel exactly the same way as they've put such extraordinary effort in creating those interiors, no other racing title comes even close for the amount of detail or perfect modelling in my opinion.
I could never go back to any other view personally, the only reason i replied to your post is the suggestion of "forcing" people to use it.
Although i agree with you, i don't understand why people don't use it, except for those with a steering wheel perhaps ( maybe you don't need two wheels ).
But personal preferences, although maybe obvious and logical to you and me, never should be forced.

My personal preference is feel/hear the car and look at the track. Replays are for looking at my car and, even then, it's not the dashboard I want to see.

You can't argue about personal preference, i only said i don't understand people don't use it because in general i don't understand people who don't share my personal preferences ( or opinions, world view, etc. ). ;)
Doesn't mean i don't try to understand, or can see their view points or even be persuaded to change my own.

The first sentence is not meant to be taken entirely serious
