I loved the Midget I from GT4. Nippy little thing fully tuned. The Chrysler Phaeton concept was amazing as well; GT2's Tank Car! :dopey:

I forgot a lot of these.

I feel so young I started playing gt3 not long after it came out but I was too young to remember the names of cars the one I wish I knew the name of most was an awesome red ferrari like car with 4 exhaust pipes we (my dad and I) kept trying to get the racing version but you couldn't buy it and we didn't know how to win it does anyone know what I'm talking about or am I just going slightly mad?

NFS don't even deserve to keep Porshe all for themselves (unliteral) I mean is it really that difficult for PD to get the right??

PD has to obtain the license to digitally reproduce Porsche vehicles, something that is probably very difficult to do, for whatever reason...

Ariel Atom, sure in the 500 BHP vesion. Then the usual suspects like Radical's, Ultima's, and anything else in this category that throws fear and doom on any today's overpriced technical assist-controlled playmobile. Including the KTM X-Bow

Sure? I think some people are missing the whole "cars from previous GTs" thing. Not just Roadrunner by any means, I just quoted this one because I like those cars :D

Back on topic: Audi Streamliner - one of the most beautiful post-Horscht Audis ever made, and an iconic car in motorsport history. I was genuinely surprised that this wasn't in!

This thread has made me realise just how young I was when I was playing GT1-3, I don't remember many of the cars mentioned here. I started a new game on GT1 the other day which I've abandoned, I'll have to get back into it (the physics aren't, shall we say, anything like what I'm used to, but at least the AI is!) and finish it and move on to GT2. I'm going through a heavy nostalgic gaming phase right now, just got my old Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) out to play Super Hang-On yesterday, that game is two years younger than me, so I might even end up buying a PS2 just for GT3 and 4 since my fat PS3 died.

Of the cars I do remember that I miss, though, the Espace F1 is one of them, even though I never owned it, and the NSX-R GT1 Turbo from GT1, but only because I saw it on Best Motoring recently, really.

I miss the HKS 240SX drag car. I think it was in GT2 maybe GT3. Can't remember exactly.
I think more than anything I miss the ability to raise the power to almost unrealistic numbers. In GT4 you could glance at a car sideways and it would make 1,000hp. GT5's power figures are way more realistic/conservative. But every now and then it's nice to be able to crank up the power and have a 1,000kg car lay down 1,100hp. I mean is this not a video game? Is this not the reason why we play these games? To escape reality for a little while and drive something we would never have the chance to drive in real-life.
Don't get me wrong. If you were racing a GT500 class car for example,a class where cars make around 500hp, and had the car making like 800hp-900hp that would be just plain un-necessary and completely un-realistic.
