Until the UCD cycles back on itself, there is no way of knowing this for sure. With all due respect to Duck, this thread: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134403 will give you a better idea of how rare a car is. It is more up to date. However, you'll have to do the legwork yourself. I believe we have nearly 10,000 game days mapped between the two lists, and it has not repeated. So, you can definitely search and figure out which cars show up the least, if it all, so far. However, the absolute answer to that question in any real tangibly accurate sense will not be known until the UCD database cycles back on itself (if it ever does).

Usually that one you're still chasing after, especially if you had it in there earlier but you didn't have enough cr or you just weren't interested.

I spent ages chasing the BMW LMP and the McLaren LM, to the point where I'd run Dream Car Championship in B spec whilst watching TV just to gain cr and cycle the dealership (pre big seasonal payouts)

Everything?

Your supposed to follow the link instead of cluttering up the forum. OP please use the search function, its not hard as jkt008 has demonstrated. 👍 There are no rare cars anything you want can be obtained via tickets in the marketplace or won in the game.

The question isn't about how easy it is to obtain cars or how cheating can improve your odds. The question was about rarity in the UCD. Duck's thread is the beginning of the answer, but not the whole one as I don't believe he has updated that thread in a while.

He just updated it 4 hours ago....

Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca Race Car #51. I saw it only once in the game, with someone else driving onlien and in the UCD. Luckly when it was in the UCD I bought it haha

Wrong he has updated. And why is it cheating to trade for a ticket.

Much as I admire Duck's research, to me it still feels that no car is *much* rarer than the next, fact is that when there are over 1000 and they can easily dupe in the same UCD or not long after, and there is just one car you want, you might have to wait a long time (especially if you don't check the UCD very regularly after running races)

There have been many threads here about "rarity" and it's surprising how many people seem to base the rarity of a model solely on their own experiences, thus fundamentally misunderstanding the odds. Hey I never win the lottery so no one does, right?

To me, there's no such thing as bragging rights of "rarity" in GT5 but personally i've really enjoyed checking for cars I really want on my own. PD could make some cars way way more scarce and unlikely to ever appear, *then* people could brag they've found them but it would royally suck for everyone else.

Already noted that. When I made my original posts he hadn't updated in almost a month. Trading for a ticket isn't cheating. But, to say that no car is rare because of that suggests that there are unlimited tickets to be had, which is only true in 2 cases: (1) cheating; (2) Continually creating new accounts (or finding people who cheated) and obtaining tickets that way (not cheating in my book, but still not completely above board.) As I pointed out though, this completely misses the point of the original question which was specifically about the UCD. Apples and Oranges.

No matter how it feels, the UCD has a certain number of cars mapped. We know that within those that are mapped, there is a pattern that holds for everyone. The only question is where you start in that pattern. As I pointed out in my original, we will not truly know true rarity until we get to the end (if it exists). So far, Duck's "research" is the most accurate assessment of how often certain cars appear in the UCD, hence how rare they are. I agree many people do base their assessment of rarity on their own experiences, which is why the Marketplace works as well as it does. One man's trash is another's treasure. As for how rare PD has "made" certain cars, again, we just don't know that absolute answer yet. However, we've got a pretty good idea.
