What did you use your car restoration ticket for?

Are these dupe-able?

Use one, send the car, then back up your save, send the car back?

Or is the ticket taken from your account permanently?

Great idea. I think it should work, like painting and sending a car.

Can I suggest OP start a POLL on how many of us that still have NOT use the CAR RESTORE coupons ? :)

I think my 120k mile Sebastian Vettel X1 could do with an overhaul. And since it would cost me a million credits for a full overhaul. I think I'll use a couple of tickets on it. It could probably do with a wash as well. It actually looks like an X1 Prototype at the moment it's so dirty.

I'd love to see that because I abuse the hell out of my cars and there's not a spec of dirt on them afterwards. By the way, an overhaul would be 500,000k. And you don't need a "couple" tickets to overhaul it, you need one. And I'm sure there's not 120k miles on your X1. Think about a lie that's not so easy to see right through next time. But show me a pic, prove me wrong and I'll have made an ass out of myself. Thing is I'm sure I'm not wrong.

x2, I used the same x2010 for all 4 24 hour races, all b spec endurances, a-spec auto grinding to level 40, and money grinding, and mine has just 51k.

Mine is just shy of 100k, so...........

Nope. Car restoration tickets aren't dupeable.
And who still doesn't know, Car restoration ticket is not Engine overhaul or Chasis repair tickets. While Engine/Chasis repair just cost money, Car restoration is not available for money at all. Only through special tickets.

My X2010 S.Vettel has 240.000km. Believe me or not :) I've used it for grinding both A and B specs and money.

Since it's impossible to dupe these tickets, the only reasonable way to use is restore X2010 Prototype/S.Vettel since you can't buy these cars or win more. And u can't dupe these cars.

For <1mil cars it's better to use another account to restore car and then gift it to your main account. And then restore save to get back restoration ticket.
For car >1mil it's better to use year ticket or level ticket to draw it unless you'll get it what u want.

Lamborghini Miura and F10... Tried to drive them until the wheels fell off!

What's funny is I will be probably using it for a '57 vette. I ended up buying the thing because I just like the car. Little did I know it already had 120k miles on it. Weird. I'm going to see how far you can push a car since it's already up there. Least I got that high mileage trophy from buying it.

Haven't used one yet, might use one on my X2010 Prototype, it's got over 70,000 miles on it.:grumpy:

I might just wait and see if they change it so that the car becomes 0/0/0, rather then 1/0/0.
That would be useful for us traders!

Miles is most believeable, but with everything else he said in that post, makes it sound extremely untrue.

I'm holding on to all my 10x tickets until more of these are offered as Seasonal rewards.

If more start coming as rewards , I'll start using them (on expensive Chassis only). If these are never offered again, I will gift them out.

I wasted one on my Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car thinking it would remove the permeant upgrades on the car. :ouch:

I've put a lot of miles on my Mine's R34, I think ill start there. My Zonda R could use it, too.

That would never happen...and yes I also tried to see if it would result in a 0/0/0.
Then the UCD gets a hole other meaning :P

I have a really "noob" question... where are these "restoration" tickets? Were they given out with the 2.02 upgrade like the others? Because I don't appear to have any....

They should be in the items list of your gt career page. There should be 5 of them.

I've not used either yet,

Just to clarify. The restoration tick will return your ride to 0miles but keep changes/wins and the GT auto will provide engine rebuild AND chassis repair or is it just 1 of them????

Thanks

Five restoration tickets were a gift in 2.02 upgrade only if you had previously purchased any of the October DLC packs. The tickets would be in your items list near the bottom. You would also receive the Racing Kart 125 SPL as a gift.

The GT auto tickets for engine rebuild and chassis repair are separate and you have 10 of each. You also have 10 each of car wash and oil change tickets.

I've only used my restore tickets for sending giftable cars to friends. The I restore my game save.

There is no point in using these tickets for most premium cars.
