What do you prefer the 12c or 458

458 for me, I Bought it as my first over 30,000cr car when I started abd I still enjoy it driving. Its even easy to slide it around a corner on SH thats why most use RS so you won't slip.
The MP4 is quite ugly and isn't my favo and wouldn't be my favo, to much overpowered

Even though Ferrari is in my blood, I've gotta say the McLaren.
It just seems - better. Not in GT5 as such, but in real life. My only problem with it is the fact it's name sounds like a computer component and practically is a giant computer, but then again so is the Ferrari.

I guess im just put off by 458's with Titanium Racing Exhausts.

458 is easier to drive by far.

Oh yea. You've drove them both in reality right? Oh no. Anyway this statement depends on driving speed/style. And the 12c can't be classed as ugly unlike this

Tsk tsk

As I don't like to wear an Anorak for driving it must be the 458 I guess. ;)

The MP something is one of the few cars that continue to baffle me. I never can relate to it. I simply don't get the behaviour of this car.

I love the F1 though.

Glad to see someone else can't stand that awful noise the 458 makes with the racing exhaust, it just sounds so 'arcade'. The real 458 racecar sounds nothing at all like that and that would be what I'd compare the tuned 458 with titanium race exhaust to.

If I was in a position in reality to afford one of them I'd buy the McLaren without a doubt and that would be without even test driving either of them. It will be rarer than the 458 and the average man will never even exploit 50% of either cars talents making any differences null and void. And of course it's British!

But in the game I much prefer the balance of the 458. Even in stock form I find it to be brilliant and it sounds great too. No titanium race exhausts on any of my 458's!

Why do people say the McLaren doesn't look nice? I think it looks great; even if you don't think it looks good, it's far from ugly.

I prefer driving the MP4 simply because it's stupidly fast and is a challenge to keep on the track. I don't know why, but I found the MP4 easier to drive than the F1. It's handling isn't as bad as people say, it just takes time to get used to (although I did slap on some sport softs on it).

I like the looks of the McLaren, but the design reminds me too much of the Saleen S7.

MP4-12C, quote McLaren "in every scientific and measurable way, our car is better" its just better to drive, 458 isa pretty car though

To be honest i would rather have the MP4-12c. I know that i'm going to make enemies on this however a comparison is in order. both the Ferrari and The MP4-12c both have 7 gear transmisson. both of them stock have roughly the same horsepower. (I think don't quote me on that) however on the track the Mclaren had a better top speed than the 458, however the 458 left it in the dust because of the acceleration. (Or maybe because my brother was driving the Mclaren and i was driving the 458 idk) However after putting the parts into them and the oil changes, the MP4 has 100 HP more than the Ferrari. however the acceleration is faster than stock obivously for the mp4, however the ferrari is much quicker of the line than i thought. Controlalbllity is another factor. from a standing start and full throttle and traction control off, the ferrari is very wild off of the line and the back end kicks out. the
Mclaren also does kicks, however doesn't feel like i'm trying to wresle a angry bull, it is more controlable than the ferrari and outruns it most of the time. so in conclustion the Car i would rather drive would be the Mclaren MP4-12c.
sorry this took so long to write.

however...

458 is beast.

missed one

Hate to be an ass, but WTF is a "12c"?

The MP4-12C? If so - 458. MP4-12C just isn't my style - hardly any good noise (then again, most cars in GT5 are vacuum cleaners) and quite an ugly design (still can't beat the Aztek though).

The 458 because of its enzo-beating handling (if you can find the right tune :sly:)

But I noticed that the 12c has a faster straight-line speed.

Neither. The Mclaren's a printer and the Ferrari's ugly. :yuck:
I'd rather go for an SLS AMG.

For the game ... the 458. It looks better (even though they both look like fish mouth at the front) and frankly, at least for me, from the mileage I've driven on both, the Ferrari is easier to drive - faster. :dopey:

IRL ... neither. :P :sly:

Just buy the Nissan Skyline Nur, do the RKM tune it then it's better then an SLS and MP4;)

👍

but between the two exotics, the reason why I preferred the MP4 is that it looks better. And the 458 just lacks this flair that the old Ferraris have... it's been loaded with too much tech already.
