What do you prefer the 12c or 458

The 458 by a considerable margin. It's so much nicer to drive. I don't really like the MP4 photocopier to be honest.

But in this class, I prefer the Gallardo, SLS and V12 Vantage to the 458.

Ha, I see what you did thar. Yes, you and the car xD

Can't tell you how many times I'm told my name is misspelled. Of all people, I know the difference between McLaren and McClaren, and it isn't much.

Can't you change your names in the info thingy where you can change: avatar and sig?

i love gt5

Little harder to do with the government, though. Drivers license, birth certificate, etc.

I can only really speak from the Ferrari side of the fence but she looks and drives like a dream and doesn't handle too badly either.

After 2-3 laps in the 458 I'm bored. Not so in the MP4-12C which I like to drive all day.

458 because of the handling, so much more fun.

The MP4 12C isn't as fun until tweaked but it is faster.

@ Everyone, who thinks this is a real life comparison; it's in the GT5 Q & A.
Work it out...

I haven't photographed the 458 yet.

Prettier, for sure, but I haven't made up my mind about the performance. I haven't spent a lot of time with the 458.

People say the 12c Is trickier. All part of the fun. And besides, cars don't stay stock for long.

Emmpeefourdashtwelvecee - Cool name, Fairly good lines to it. But will always be compared to Gorden Murray Superbeast the iconic F1 - In GT5 it drove like a Saab convertable - all sorts of handling issues in a car I expected to be "Think Russian" with. - Will try it again tonigt to see if GT5 version 2.06 has brought it to life.

458 - I think it isn't that pretty, some of the lines just seem wrong and the propertions on the side look - off. However it sounds and drives with alot more purpose than the Woking Wocket in GT5.

Stock the Fezza has the better engine note too.

Neither are cars I really like. But the Ferrari is more fun to chuck about, the Emmpeefourdashtwelvecee just seems have the handling of the Amoco Cadiz for some virtual reason.

I have both cars and have driven them a lot. I prefer the 458 because my tune is better for it. I can't get the MP4 to act how I want it too. Not saying it's a bad car though.

Just ran the emmpeefourdashtwelvecee - too 500pp spec, so a down tuned engine. And other than the aneamic engine note the car felt pretty good handling wise. Certainly a car I will have another dash with. (Ran at the London Reverse Seasonal event.)

Car wasn't exactly on rails but felt like a proper mid engined car. I swapped to a Semi race exhaust and lowered the restrictor plate level even more to keep it at 350bhp. (for 500pp) - Thr ange of paint is pretty poor for McLaren as well... and you don't get to keep the paint chip... Ron Dennis - you tightwad!

Even though this comparison is for the cars as they exist in the game, I find it difficult not to consider their real-life counterparts. The 458 has a true automotive soul, and I have a great appreciation for the cars of the storied Italian maker, but the McLaren is just a rush to drive and is an obvious result of its development time.

As many have done in this thread, I still have to give the title to something else in this category (ish); the Ruf CTR2 '96. More comparable to the Gallardo than either of the two MRs, this thing packs 540hp and stays surefooted through almost any set of conditions.
