What do you want in the GT6 soundtrack?

It'd be cool if Foster The People showed up in the GT6 soundtrack or its intro or something.
 
Personally, I've never been a huge fan of GT soundtrack, so I like the idea of playing the music from my hard drive. Being able to select two different folders for menus and race soundtrack was brilliant!
For GT6, I'd be glad if they sticked to this system; but it would be even greater if the stereo system in the car could display the name of the track being played (just like in real life!). And one more thing, as the music is played randomly from the selected folders, it would be awesome to change track from pause menu.
While in the general menu, photo mode, car dealer, tuning parts shop or car maintenance & service (yeah, I hate that track), the music could be changed via a pop up menu by pressing the triangle button for instance.
To a further extent, the triangle button could be used as a multitask feature (a la i.O.S.) to be able to move from a game mode to another one without being forced to quit everything. Amongst this multitask features, sound menu would appear on a scrolling bar as an icon...
Just some thoughts...
 
I actually really like the GT soundtrack, the sound volume on mine is turned down low so I can only ever hear it in the background. It's quite nice as driving music, or maybe my taste is just weird.
 
Have to say The GT menu music has always been pretty strong. GT1 had some dealerships I would avoid because the music was a bit - "ny°a!!" (Nissan)

But the music generally adds a nice layer onto the game - bit like the soundtrack to a good film.

That was in my custom soundtrack playlist at one point; wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle, yeah :p

They need to add Eduard Khil - Feels Good To be home, more famously known as...

The TROLOLOL song, plus it's a genre that fits in with the jazzy, smooth stuff that PD like including.

I agree with you sir, no Hip-Hop or rap should be added (for the fact that the genres have some unattractive connotations).
I don't know why but I really like the NCD music, although I'm primarily a fan of R&B 👍.

You have a nice taste in music :D.Reel Big Fish along with Mustard Plug and The Suicide Machines would be awesome as the next GT soundtrack, but apparantly Kaz has never heard of Ska. :grumpy:
 
Some of the best music from each game, for instance from GT3 (Kickstart My Heart, She Sells Sanctuary), and GT4 (Panama by Van Halen comes to mind).

GT6 needs more classic rock like this. Bring back Sails of Charon by the Scorpions as well. And if I had to pick a song as the opener, AC/DC, Thunderstruck.
 
I hope it a lot like GT3 loved snoop dogg, Raekwon, and Lenny Kravitz if not I hope they keep the custom music option and probably let the music everywhere like non stop music from my ps3
 
I've always loved the Jazzy- Loungy music style of the gran turismo games.
So hope that continues.

But please! Make sure the songs keep playing when you go to the race or sub menus!
Can't stand those irritating children with their "don't know why i love you so" in the race menu!

I see what you mean, but the American version of the game has always started with a different artist from country to country. Moon Over the Castle was the beginning song for the European version of GT4. America had Van Halen's Panama. Just going by history, America may not see a MOTC Gran Turismo intro.
 
The menu music should be distinct and calming.
I think GT5 already has a good musical director, so I would trust them to find the best of upcoming bands and fit them together. I discovered a lot of great bands thanks to GT5's soundtrack, with GT6 I want to be surprised and discover some more great stuff.

GT's soundtrack has always remained current and reflected good music at the time and for this reason GT6 shouldn't be hampered with old songs just for nostalgia's sake.

GT6 should be at the bleeding edge in every respect when it comes out.

I would like to see a new version of light velocity and slipstream, plus some more gt3 and gt4 songs.

They should have moon over the castle as racing bgm.

Also I'd like them to keep some gt5 artists.

I want GT6 to send a nostalgic shiver down my spine, and be a thrilling experience like it used to be!

A long time ago I mentioned how much we need a Gran Turismo 6 Discussion Board and honestly -- WTH?

Not to mention, shortly after making the thread it was deleted. We need a GT6 General Speculation Board.
