What do you want out of GT6?

  • A much more streamlined interface without all the fluff that slows things down
  • Fewer arbitrary restrictions, such as needing to "own" colors before you can use them
  • TCS, ASM, and other dynamic aids that mimic the programming in actual car models, when possible
  • Advanced FFB wheel tuning options
  • Just dump me in the cockpit during staging. Lose the stupid camera angles.
  • Consistent features (head tracking et al., tracks/cars with model, texture, and feature parity)
  • Save files without DRM
  • Streamlined license test modes, or maybe a drill option that lets you string together practice sessions and actually develop a flow
  • If PD (and other sim devs) really want accessibility, provide better in-game tutorials (driving analysis, tuning theory and application, driving tutorial approaching what RBR offered)

I want full damage on race cars, with mechanical failures, and racing rules with flag stands. Spa is a must! Being that it will be on the next gen Playstation, I'd hope for a full grid, at least 20-30 cars.

More premium models, tracks, features etc.

Mission Hall
Get rid of these "over take 16 cars in a lap" thing in license and bring back Time Trials.
Maybe a few more races in Career but other than that, I'm fairly happy.

Edit: Oh, and World Map menu system 👍

And this, WITH the music.

I would rather Polyphony Digital just put GT6 on the back burner for now and work exclusively on Gran Turismo 5 to fix its issues. I don't want this game to feel like its just Gran Turismo 6: Prologue. There is no reason for the game to have shipped in the state it did. PD should work really hard on GT5 for the next year before they even begin to consider touching GT6.

Can we get some AI in this game?

Besides it slow like 80 years old senior citizens, I just was kicked 6 times straight out of the race on first lap by this AI idiots without any reason.

More focus on Rally, Karts and Nascar rather than the measly effort put into GT5.

Hot lap competitions on Top Gear test track i.e trying to beat the actual times posted by the Stig in each car available which has a real time posted.

Dynamic weather affecting ALL tracks including dirt tracks where it turns to mud in the wet and night racing on ALL tracks.

Real damage i.e if you hit a wall at 120mph your race is over. If you're going to do damage, do it right.

More premium, if not all premium cars.

No more overpowered cars in A-Spec events, a mandatory tuning limit set for each and every event.

To be able to back up my save data on a usb and have a premium veyron, then frankly i'm already happy.

lol, let Kaz-san implement some of this stuff into online updates.

ALL I really ask for is.........authentic sound. I don't care if cars are still divided into standard/premium. The reason I want the cars to sound like their real life counterparts is because I don't get excited hearing those syntheticky sounds. i.e when I drive my STI in the game I want to hear the pure "boxer rumble". Not no damn vacuum cleaner. That's all I ask for. AUTHENTIC SOUND.

EDIT: also make the shifts more realistic again please. I didn't like how my stock civic type-r sounded like it had power-glide(sequential transmission). There should be a "moment of silence" between every shift.

OK, I put it here since there's no forum for GT6. Here's what I want:
More cars (including unusual cars like Model T, Nike, Smart, etc)
****NEW MANUFACTURERS****:
Porsche, Venturi, Plymouth, Oldsmobile, Jeep, Hummer, Cadillac, Bentley, Saab, Smart, Lada, Laraki+everything from GT4. I don't care if it's standard, premium or whatever I just want the damn cars.
Majority of prize cars ***NOT*** purchasable.
More F1 cars.
Real race karts.
Motorbikes.
****MORE TRACKS****
Spa, Gotland, Piazza, Pikes Peak, Special Stages at DAYTIME, Eiger Norwand FULL, a few other tracks+everything from previous games (or GT4 at least).
B-Spec only required for 1 championship instead of half the game. (I'D RATHER HAVE 1/2 THE GAME DEVOTED TO NASCAR RACING ON OVALS THAN NO RACING AT ALL).
****CAREER MODE AT LEAST AS LARGE AS GT4 WITH AT LEAST 16 ENDUROS**** including:
Real F1 championship & endurance
Daytona enduro
Rally enduro
Kei enduro (muahahahaha)
Electric car championship
Pre-1900 car championship
Nike championship
Stealth car championship
Indianapolis CAR championship
Tourist trophy (with actual motorbikes) championship&enduro
+more
More than 60 license tests.
****LICENSES ACTUALLY REQUIRED FOR RACES****
Machine tests
Drift trials in GT mode (a bit NFSish but still adds to the game)
More course maker options
More 24-hr enduros
Enduro championships.
Prize car carousel
The ability to win prize cars multiple times.
More:
Drag racing
Prize cars for trophies

Unusual cars are a waste of the developers time, only cars that are worth using to race i.e Schwimmwagen, Kubelwagen, Samba Bus, Citroen 2CV, Subaru 360, Daihatsu Midget II etc. No thanks.

They won't get more F1 cars due to Codemasters having the F1 licence, same goes for an F1 championship. How do you think the McLaren MP4-25 and the Red Bull RB6 weren't at least included, not to mention the Mercedes, Renault and Toro Rosso.

Electric, Nike, 1900 etc championships, boring as hell. I can think of 3 touring car championships that would work better, BTCC, V8 Supercars and DTM, not to mention GT1 and GT2 sports cars and also Indy Cars.

Licence Tests, even PD has realised that it's an old and worn out concept, hence the fact they're not mandatory anymore.

Porsche PORSCHE!

I know the next thing may sound taboo but I am strongly pro open city tracks! The special stage 7 is just a start and I hope if Kaz wants to "revolutionize" the series, an open city (fake or not) would be appreciated. 👍

All I want is a track that combines SSR5 + SSR7 + SSR11, basically making it the Nordschleife of the night! :P

That's actually an interesting concept, the only barrier I'd see is the fact that GT has realistic car physics and a citys street layout is hardly perfect for fast driving so it would maybe limit what you could actually do and turn it into a race where everytime taking the shortest route wins?

Lmao I can't even think about GT6 and plus it's 10 years away.

I do want Porsche cars and full F1 racing within but Bernie prob won't allow that.

I'd like to see an online dealer ship. Were you can spend credits earned in the game from any manufacture of our choosing. if possible on the track we are racing, the weather for that track in real time.

This. But I would like more premium cars.

Depends on the capabilities of the PS/4.

But I hope they offer paid DLC content in the mean time... Would love to see a Porsche Pack or a History of GP Circuits Pack.

Requiring licenses sucks. Way to exclude massive percentages of gamers.
I've never had an issue with licencing. I've always found it a good way to sharpen my driving skills and get used to the physics as I play the game. There have only ever been a handful of licence tests that I have been unable to crack (to at least bronze standard) on the first attempt in the whole history of the GT franchise, and fewer still that persistently infuriate me. In fact, I think the Coffee Breaks in GT4 were the most frustrating of them all, and they didn't even have a required time for the bronze!

For GT6, perhaps a tandem system of levels and licences could work. On the one hand, you can simply drive through, unlocking events one or two at a time as you level up. On the other hand, you could sit the licence tests and instantly unlock every event that requires that licence once you complete it. You would, however, still need a set amount of experience to unlock the next set of events. So if I pass the Domestic B licence, I unlock the Domestic B events, but I cannot progress to the Domestic A until I complete 50% of the Domestic B events and get my level up (this would largely be to stop people from completing all the licences, unlocking all the good cars for completing them, and then simply cruising through the lower-level events).

Interesting thought. I would imagine PD would more than likely include this concept only for those who want to have a chilled out drive and take notice and fascination of your peers' cars. Also, making a hightlight video on an open city "track" would be astounding!

Just imagine a group of American cars (ZR1, Ford GT, Viper ACR) coming through from a block downtown. Next scene you see the Japanese cars (GTR, LFA, and "new NSX lol") strolling towards the American muscles. Finally, on the other street block, you see the European cars (458, GT2 RS, and MP4-12C) coming from the other side forming a triangular prong all meeting together. Then it flashes to each group showcasing their engine noises then blackens out with a title "GT6: New Era of Driving". :)

SOmething else I'd love to see: bring back the older racing series. I remember having to go through national and regional races in GT2 before you could take on the World Championship ...

The problem with an open city - I'm taking that to mean one were you drive your car to events - is that it will take up a significant chunk of space on the disc, which means there will be less left over for cars, circuits, events and features.

What is the size on the GT5 disc anyway? I seriously doubt GT5 takes up a half of blu-ray disc which, IIRC, can hold up 50 gigs. That is a hefty amount of space!

Put it this way: one of the leading reasons where there are only 200 premium cars is because Polyphony realised they'd put so much into the game that there wasn't enough space left over to make all 1000 cars Premium. In fact, IIRC, 200 may have been as many as they could get with the amount of space left on the disc (and/or as many as they could get done in time for the game to be printed and released). Circuits like Madrid and Rome took them two years to develop, and neither is a particularly large circuit the way the likes of Cape Ring and Eiger are. So an open-plan city that would be large enough for the player to drive themselves to a) the player garage b) dealerships, c) used car lots, d) events, e) licence tests, f) photomode, g) the auto shop, h) online lobbies, i) arcade mode and j) the options menu (I'm assuming that the open-plan cityscape would replace the menu entirely; to have a menu system and a cityscape would be redundant), then you're talking about a fairly large city - at least as big as Tokyo R246, and probably bigger. And then you'd have to populate that city with other cars, unless you want the player to be driving around on their own. In the end, it will be a bloated mess that will take Polyphony years to code without actually adding anything to the gameplay experience. If you want that city to be populated by other players in an online capacity, then it gets even worse. They'd be better off streamlining the menu system - it's faster, more effective and user-friendly.

all i want is money in online mode, maybe some type of wager matches as well as sanctioned races with the ability to earn cr.

I think GT6 will be released for PS3... Two series per console? :)

Well, my little wishlist:
- Less duplicates. Things like 3000GT SR and 3000GT VR4 is acceptable, but EU S2000, JP S2000 and US S2000? 👎
- More premium cars. If the number of Premium:Standard reach 50:50 or more, just get rid the Standards.
- New awesome, complex tracks but also bring back the good old ones. El Capitan, Pike's Peak Long, Test Course, blah blah blah and a touge track. Even an American developers can do it, why Japanese can't?
- New Astons, RUFs, Bentleys, Shelbys, Fords etc. Make a deal with Koenigsegg, Vector, Kia, Ultima etc.
- Tweak those awful shadows. And slightly better trees. :dunce:
- Hood view!
- World map interface. That make the GT feels huge, massive.

Just my two cents.

a easier way to make money, and winning the prize car after you sell it

If it's going to be on PS3...

- Authentic sound. After all these years, one would expect the sound to at least keep pace with the visuals. Generic/synthetic engine sounds completely undermine the feeling of immersion I get from the game. I'd happily sacrifice the number of cars on track, resolution, 3D support, damage for this crucial component of the experience.

- Complete removal of the Standard cars. Some of these models go back all the way to GT2000. Fugly.

- Porsche 👍

- Rock solid 720P visuals without tearing, flickering and slowdown. The PS3 is simply not up to 1080p with complex graphics at this point.

- All cars/tracks available from the get go in Arcade. At this point in my life, I really don't have the time/inclination for grinding through the career mode.

All cars Premium, RM for all cars that are not already racecars:) and more MFG´s. And more real world tracks. Also a more even spread of cars throughout the field, IE more than three Astons, and way less than 100 Nissans.

Same as most people; all premium, all the time. That means all cars and all tracks.

Leave the past behind PD, this number fixation you or Sony decided on has made you look sloppy.
