What do you want out of GT6?

OK, all the stuff I listed below is now secondary to having PRIZE-EXCLUSIVE cars. After that content like cars tracks and events is secondary.

Why, dare I ask, would you want that? Not forcing that nonsense on the player's lap is one of the more notable things that GT5 does better than any of its predecessors.

Agree with that one. I hate the license tests, they're just irritating. If they removed them entirely I really wouldnt mind.

What would I like to see in GT6

****NEW MANUFACTURERS****:
Koeniggsegg, Porsche, Venturi, Plymouth, Oldsmobile, Jeep, Hummer, Cadillac, Bentley, Saab, Smart, Lada, Laraki+everything from GT5.
Majority of prize cars ***NOT*** purchasable. AKA not finding them in the used lot

****MORE TRACKS****
Spa, Gotland, Piazza, Pikes Peak, Special Stages at DAYTIME, Eiger Norwand FULL, a few other tracks+everything from previous games (or GT4 at least).
Trash B-spec, or implement it like GT4, where you can turn it on for long races like 24hours at .........

****CAREER MODE AT LEAST AS LARGE AS GT4 WITH AT LEAST 16 ENDUROS**** including:

****LICENSES ACTUALLY REQUIRED FOR RACES****
Seriously, all of the GT games have required passing licenses to advance your career. I see this as good, because the average joe isn't going to piot an F1 car in 3 days
Machine tests-WTF happened to the test track
Prize car carousel
The ability to win prize cars multiple times.
More:
Drag racing
Prize cars for trophies

****Smarter AI****
Like that from Forza. An AI that actually knows you are there

****Length****
GT5 is short, like im 53% in less than 2 weeks. I wasnt 53% through GT3 or GT4 in 6 months. WTH?

I hope by GT6 the development of such an amazing title would evolved to include tire pressure adjustment.

It is just that I am not sure if the general public is ready for such elitist & purist racing car technology like the ability to set your tire pressure......

How about adjusting tyre pressures and factoring fuel weight?

Only read the title and the first post...Id like them to fix GT5 first....if that doesnt happen then I wont be buying GT6....At the rate of the last release ill probably be dead by GT6 anyway.

Yeah I forgot Koeniggsegg. That should be added as well as more unusual cars. Also Vector (what happened?) and the career mode should be larger than in GT4. Make it 2 discs or remove arcade mode or whatever.

How about adjusting tyre pressures and factoring fuel weight?

....and the physics of fuel weight that will dynamically alter chassis response. Also on/off racing line and rain line traction physics would be nice....:dopey:

so when is RFactor 2 coming out again? LOL

Can't we just play GT5 for a week before talking about GT6?

Yeah, seriously... are you sick of GT5 already? Dissapointed? No game EVER will live up to 5 years of solid hype, I'm sorry. :indiff:

GT6? I want everything that should have been in GT5....

I should have skipped GT5 and kept playing Forza 3.

I think the best thing do to is push GT6 for the PS4. PD should structure what they want to do and start designing now what they want for GT6 and get a head start like they did on GT5 (hopefully on PS4 it doesn't take 5 years).

**While they work on something for GT6 on the next generation playstation they should develop an upgrade patch for GT5; giving it more tracks, more/better variety of cars (standard cars should be none existent from now on), the patch should include a whole new set of A-Spec Races, B-Spec Races, Special Event Races etc. This patch could be like GTP ether bought online or via BluRay Disc. If they charge like 30 to 40 bucks for the update I bet everyone on this forum will buy it. It'll extend the life of GT5 and allow it to be refreshed to ease the weight for GT6 on PS4.

In conclusion, expanding GT5 will be the smartest move PD could make; it would allow them to get the content done quicker therefore in like 2 years all this extra patched content could be fully completed ready to boot and play. With the development kits for PS4 probably coming out at the same time allowing them to go head first in development of GT6 and with all the stuff and new ideas added from the patch GT6 could truthfully take the next step. What do you guys think?

Massive single player career that puts GT4 to shame.
GT5p's method of track selection: left/right for location, up/down for variations. I hate unordered lists...
Option to respray your car any of the original manufacturer's colours as well as any colour you like.
Ability to preview your car in a new colour before you spray it.
Ability to choose any of the game's 1031 cars in arcade mode, not just 100 of your favourites.
Event creator, allowing you to extend the career to your desire. Any event, any track, any car.

That'd make the perfect game for me.
Come to think about it, there's no real reason not to expect this to be added in a patch to GT5...

not the actual one, but yeah :D

What I want out of PS4 is for it to be able to run Kaz's idea of what GT5 was suppose to be... full damage modeling, 16+ grid startups of premium cars, more premium cars, more tracks, and water and smoke rendering that doesn't pixelate.

Drag track with online drag events.
Time trial online leaderboards.
Kart racing... give me more!
Phototravel; Photomode... ok, I know some of you love it, but it's not really a primary feature (Imo) to have had so much work and fine detail put into this mode considering the below expectation quality of the rest of GT5.
Garage... custom tags so I can better sort and track my cars.
Used Car Lot... wider selection, or ability to buy any car at any time.
Online Car Lot... players can tune a car, set a price, offer it for sale with custom settings and parts, carries over a win and lap time record.
Time trial... save best lap time settings per car per setup for a reasonable amount of top entries on local console, for record or transfer in Online Car Lot; player can remove entries manually from top record list on time trial without deleting whole record list.
Time trial (online leaderboard)... option for player to share the tune settings used or keep them private.
B-Spec... the amount of grinding for reward and prize car above level 25 is mind numbingly ill-conceived. Train "Bob"s for A-Spec endurance alternate drivers, but if 4 drivers can enter an event, then the player must drive 25% of laps at minimum, etc.

Its never to early to talk about GT6. PD monitors this site. The more they see, the more they can consider. Had GT5 been what it should have, we wouldn't have to talk about GT6. I don't even want to think about the PS4. It will be so expense at the start just like the PS3 was. I won't get one until 3-4 years after it comes out. Everything else I agree. They can give us massive patches. If they don't all these other racing titles will give racers what they want. PD will regret it. Honestly I don't think they have a choice but to do patches and DLC. And yes if they gave DLC in a large chunk for 30-40 bucks, I'd get it. But only if umpteen tracks/races are included.

more rally races

yes yes yes. I can't express this enough. With a newer release game, I have no idea how they could reduce the amount of tracks. You only add to it. 5 years should be enough time. Apparently they didn't spend all five on tracks. I wonder what they did devote that time to. Nothing added up to me.

water and smoke rendering that doesn't pixelate.

Leave Karts out. We don't need them. We didn't have them in previous games. They are only in Special Events anyways and were just space fillers to fill out a game that lacked. I like the custom garage idea. Works for me. The way the used car lots works now sucks. Go back to how it use to be. For 800 or so cars, you can only get them thru the used car dealers. If I have the money, I should be able to get any car I want. I like the idea of choosing track variations with up and down. Condenses the track list to eliminating excessive left/right movement.

To add to this.
Put A-spec and B-spec back like it was in GT4. I shouldn't have to use it if I don't want too. Save car setup, save Endurance/Championship. Brake upgrades. Ability to Race mod a bigger selection of cars. Take away the level system. Point less. Make it like it was in GT4. You have to pass one type of level before you can move to the next. For example, complete Amateur before you move to Expert. Or complete a certain percentage of the game before the next level. Bring back a-spec points. Use it in conjunction with prize money. The less aids you use the more money you get. Also bring back ability for us to pick our own prize cars from a selection silhouettes. That was cool. Real dynamic weather like in F1 2010, Codemasters nailed the system. More tracks to have dynamic weather. I hate dirt rally but the tarmac rally's were great, bring those back like in GT4.

Offline aspec has to dominate online. Everyone doesn't have internet and can't update with patches and DLC. Consider those that don't have this ability. Online is big nowadays and I understand that but you can't have a GT in which online is bigger than offline. Make it equal at least. Everyone doesn't want to compete in such a way. If you want clean and fair races you can race the A.I. and restrict your own car. Or you have to have private race rooms in which you have to have enough friends to enjoy a fuller grid.

I want more races and championships in Career or GT Life, and make the Special Events on the side or strictly online because the Nascar and S.Vettle events are complete BS! The license tests are all I need to fulfill my want for time-wasting retries to get golds.

I'd like many of these to be added to GT5 first but this is an OTOH list of things I'd like to see in GT6.

  • No standard cars.
  • Replace roof view with dash view.
  • Make B-spec a seperate game, don't force this rubbish on people who just want to drive.
  • Real sounds.
  • Online Drag Racing with staging, redlights in both Pro Tree and DYO over 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 mile.
  • Bring back qaulifying.
  • Great A.I.
  • More notable tracks from around the world including notable Aussie tracks, Bathurst is a must.
  • Every previous GT track.
  • An extensive range of 50's, 60's and 70's American V8 cars especially the Mopars :D
  • An extensive range of Australian cars from the 60's to present.
  • All the current cars from around the world.
  • Realistic tuning.
  • More complete realistic physics.
  • Better online with more options to set up custimised races (you should be able to set restrictions like driveline types and definable performance point ranges).
  • Get rid of XP.
  • Change the name of licenses to "Driving Academy".
  • Driver ratings based on clean driving and lap times from recent history, driver classes based on ratings, these are the new licenses.
  • Manual matchmaking, display the class of online races with the ability to filter races by class type.
  • The ability to create online racing leagues and championships within the game with qualifying and the ability to define class including the ability to search leagues and championships.
  • Prologue style time trial leaderboards with filters for factory cars and tuned cars, think about how different the TT leaderboards would look if TT accidents affected driver ratings.
  • A consistant driving experience in every part of the game.
  • Consistent mechanical damage in every part of the game.
  • Tuning assistant.
  • Improved Telemetry.
  • All interior gauges function correctly.
  • Race information mapable to onwheel buttons or controller buttons.
  • Infinite trophies without game completed percentage.

All Car's To Be Premium

Thats all i want from Gt6

Short List I know

I want them to finish the dang thing BEFORE they release it this time...

Accurate vehicle sounds, not the dozen or so computerized effects they randomly assigned to vehicles. How difficult is it to replicate audio, they had five years to do that. They can make premium cars, but not premium sounds...c'mon! Other games did this long ago. Make this right PD!

Let me guess... you LOVE what PD did with GT5, and someone else pays $60 for your games...right?

I can't believe anyone would even mention GT6...like PD needs to think that even one person in the world is already willing to pay for another game after this latest release. How about we wait a few months and see what they do to fix this game and get our confidence back up, and then consider bringing up the topic of GT6?

What I want is for version 5.5 to come out with a lot more events, all cars premium and all the old tracks + some new ones. Then have Gt6 as a launch game on the ps4 with the ability for massive grids. I'm talking 200+ for the nurburg 24hours. 50 racers and 50 spectators in online. The ability to swap with another driver online during a stop. A lot more licenses.

A completely revamped sound engine because the one they have now is terrible. Realistic collision physics. Better damage system. A car level system to make races competitive. Forza got it right by having car levels. If a race requires a level A car it's easy to get in that level and try to win the race. They even have an option to auto optimize a car for a certain car level. To do this though, we need a revamped tuning shop that actually tells you what certain parts do (increase braking, handling, launch, acceleration, top speed, etc). The current tuning shop is way too limited compared to what Forza 3 offers. Pretty much I want a completely revamped approach so that they actually make a good game. Competent AI. If they return B spec mode make it how it was in GT4 so that we can use the drivers during endurance races. Add in penalties for cutting corners. Forza does this really well. If you try and cut small chicanes it brings your car to an almost immediate stop, that way you can't benefit from it. If you go wide on tracks like Fugi that have big paved sides then it makes them extra slippery so that you can't just coast through them as if nothing happened.

What I want is for version 5.5 to come out with a lot more events, all cars premium and all the old tracks + some new ones.

uhhhh....This would be GT6. In order to have all car premiums is impossible for a GT5x. If they spent 5-6 years doing 200 premiums, how long do you think it would take to do 800. All the old tracks they should be able to do. I think we could get this as DLC or patches before the next GT release.

OK, I put it here since there's no forum for GT6.
Yeah I was looking for the GT7 forum :dunce:

Here's what I want:
More F1 cars.
Real race karts.
Motorbikes.
F1 cars why?

B-Spec only required for 1 championship instead of half the game. (I'D RATHER HAVE 1/2 THE GAME DEVOTED TO NASCAR RACING ON OVALS THAN NO RACING AT ALL).
Rather have B-spec the way it is, its a great addition to the game... shame a lot of kids don't understand or have the skill for it

Real F1 championship & endurance
Daytona enduro
Rally enduro
Kei enduro (muahahahaha)
Electric car championship
Pre-1900 car championship
Nike championship
Stealth car championship
Indianapolis CAR championship
Tourist trophy (with actual motorbikes) championship&enduro
+more
WTF is it with endurance races... they're just a grind... on 24hr is more than enough

****LICENSES ACTUALLY REQUIRED FOR RACES****
No, just no... very very bad idea

More 24-hr enduros
Enduro championships.
Grind... grind... grind boring

I'm not a kid and I have not even ventured into B-spec and don't intend to but I'm sure I have the "skill" for it. I bought GT5 because it's claim is "The Real Driving Simulator" and I want to drive, I have no interest in watching AI drive and for what it is worth if I wanted to I can get a lot more joy from giving my sons instructions and helping them become better drivers and progress through the game.
