liverydecal editor, design your own graphic design for your car
And then go online with the swastika's on your car?
you just know it will be wrongly used, and that would suck bigtime, just like the n00bs in Black Ops.
In an ideal world, there is no censorship. Anything deemed "offensive" by anyone would be dealt with in a personal manner. If you take offense to someone painting a swastika on their virtual car, then tell them so. In an ideal world, humans wouldn't get so butthurt over these things, gain a little self-confidence, and learn to offend right back. After all, if everyone toughened up and learned to ignore trolls, then
nobody would ever be offended by anything. Problem solved.
Besides which, if anyone on GT showed up to race with a swastika on their car, chances are the other players will try to ram it off the road. A group shaming is far more effective than censorship could ever be!
I just wanted to get that out of the way. For the topic at hand, it's a fairly simple answer. I would like the following out of GT6: include more tracks - a return of old favorites plus some desirable real world tracks (I vote for El Capitan, Citta Di Aria, Spa and Bathurst) as well as allowing for dynamic weather and daytime changes for all of them. Next, prune back the car list of all repeated and generally undesirable models* and remove standards, giving a roster of evenly rendered, highly detailed cars. Include Porsche - for the billionth time already, I find it strange niether Sony nor Porsche are willing to work around any contractual obligations, Porsche and Gran Turismo would go together like ham and cheese. They can't not know this.
Finally, update and improve customization/modification/tuning options for all cars. *The one thing about cars in real life is it's possible to take a boring econobox car and turn it into an amazing, pants-wetting weapon: if you're going to have bog basic cars, why can't we properly hot rod them? Where are the engine and drivetrain swaps??? Why can't I choose between a super or turbo or all motor aspiration for all cars? Why can't I twincharge, or choose how many blowers or turbines I'm using? Why can't I increase the displacement on all of them, like I bloody well can in real life?? Why can't I swap in any other motor that would feasibly fit? For the case of a game like GT, all the parameters you would need to do such swaps is the size of the engine vs. the space allowed in the engine bay - numbers that probably aren't too hard to work out. I'm sick of blanket upgrade packages with arbitrary power increases, I want full control over every aspect of my car;
just like in real life. Plenty of other games have done it, surely Kaz and company can figure something out as well.
Other than those most glaring points, they can sew up little detail flaws and glitches and so forth, but most of that will probably be fixed during GT5's lifespan. All the other stuff like B-spec and the course maker and whatever else people are complaining about are pretty minor compared to the aforementioned points. It's all down to the cars and tracks, how they're presented and how much they can be manipulated by the player. All the other stuff is fluff, and frankly if they fixed those fundamentals but didn't change anything else, I wouldn't care.
