What do you want out of GT6?

Well, the first and most obivous is better engine sounds. This has to be drastically improved for the next GT.

No standard cars would be nice, but I am afraid that will not happen.

Please no bikes. it is a completely different physics engine and would require a lot of manpower to get it right. I´d rather have them handle more important issues first.

I would like to have a dyno. So if you tune cars you don´t see the hp now / hp after you buy this part, but instead you just buy the part and in GT auto you have a dyno option. You see the car get on the dyno and rev through the gears and then you get a number. I think it would make the tuning more exciting and more realistic as well.

More realistic tuning in general. Do not allow chiptuning on oldtimers and do not restrict the turbo / supercharger option to so few cars. You can´t turbocharge a gallardo, or a 370z or a Golf R32. All of these cars can be turbocharged irl.

I would like to have a "stunt track" or better "test track" like the Volkswagen test center or I think lotus has one as well. Just a place to fool around. With a skid plate, a quarter mile, maybe even a couple of small ramps. I know it sounds arcade-ish, but I think it would be fun and that is what it´s all about.

When cars get airborn the landing looks wrong in most cases. I would like it to be more violent. Sparks should be flying, you should hear a sound when the car bottoms out. Right now it just seems so unspectacular.

The paint tickets have to go. This just was a horrible, horrible idea. If I want to paint my new pricecar black, then I want to paint it black. The way it is now has nothing to do with realism and it is just frustrating.

Complex string would be a nice addition.

Brakes should be included in the tuning options. I would like to buy ceramic rotors for my 370z. It is realistic and it especially does make sense if you race the car often.

That said, brake fading should be included. And overheating as well. you can´t drive more than 3 laps of the ring in a row in a streetcar. You will over heat the brakes.

Please do not restrict some cars from the dirt / snow stages. If I want to slide my countach through the toscana, please let me do that.

That said, PLEASE give the Countach a premium treatment :)

The UCD is not ideal. Having to wait days or sometimes weeks for a car to appear is not a very good system. I know that they propably did it because the huge amount of standard cars is not so apparent this way. And they kind of found a work around with the online dealership. But still, if we have standard cars in GT6 there should be another way.

What I would like in general, but that is very subjective I´ll admit, is a bit of off-road racing. Maybe in form of trial courses, maybe in form of a baja race. I personally like offroading very much, and I think it would be a nice addition to the series.

Well, that is it for now.

I'm not a kid and I have not even ventured into B-spec and don't intend to but I'm sure I have the "skill" for it.
The fact that you are complaining about a feature that you have never tried makes you a kid... regardless of age ;)

7HO
I bought GT5 because it's claim is "The Real Driving Simulator" and I want to drive, I have no interest in watching AI drive and for what it is worth if I wanted to I can get a lot more joy from giving my sons instructions and helping them become better drivers and progress through the game.
I'm sure you could, and you may not like it, but at leat try it before making a decision :)

Just a proper car racing game.

Limit the B-spec, making it a thing for longer races and putting more effort into it would be nice. Just as in real life you don't tell your drive to go faster go faster go afster then slow down when he gets hot, it should be more Attempt to maintain 1:26 pace for the next 10 laps. Go all out for the next 3, pitt etc.... just like from a real race engineer to a driver in proper racing.

2ndly, Lose the levels and bring back the need for tests. I dion't konw why people are bitching about the tests. Bronze isn't hard in any of them. Simply do as in previous GT's, and just as in real life (you know real, as in real driving simulator, real), require a basic pass of the test to do certian races.

NASCAR, I hate it, but with the license a proper hall should be down.

WRC, I like it, and with the license a proper hall should be done... there no rally racing in GT5 at all. FAIL

Karts, they are the base for cars and car racing, they should be a hall aswell. (just as in GT3 the rally was a 'hall' or whateve ryou call it. Each of WRC, nascar, Karts and Formula should eb hhals'

FOrmula as above.

All the missing cars

No more bloody nissan skyline/gtr's

More tuning options.. GT5 options were horrible

Brake upgrades

Brake and brake pad useage throughout a race

'Racing Modifications' shouldn't be limited to a few cars and big upgrades, but should be about making normal road cars into track day machines.. i.e. putting on sports tyres, changing the brakes, clutch etc...

No paint tickets, horn tickets etc.... non...

More A-spec races.. ALOT more...

Qualifying.... can't believe they got rid of it!!!!

No bikes.. they aren't cars, no more 24 hours races... most people can't do them at alll due to time restraints.

Mechanical damge and such from the start. By the time I hit level 40 I will be done with the game, I don't want to be only then getting features that were promised to me at the start. If I have to complete a game to get something then I better just be something I can see not use, because I wont be playing the game abymore. It would be like becoming the F1 world champion and at the end they give you a tank of fuel for the car you just drove. Useless.

Better AI

  • Much more Premium cars - Preferably 600 premiums than 200 premiums and 800 standards
  • More Can-Am cars than just Chaparral
  • "Real" F1, NASCAR and rally races
  • Much better shader (eww!)
  • More events in both A-spec and B-spec
  • Racing mods should be available for more cars
Can't think of anything else.

Some legit off-road races would be cool like Dakar or Baja 1000 or better yet BOTH!

A whole lot more tracks, vastly improved AI, many more career events, more premium cars, and a new streamlined menu system. And fix those shadows.

Though unfortunately the AI and the menus don't seem to be priorities with PD, and I'd be somewhat surprised if they ever fix them.

Kill B-Spec entirely as it's own game, just give us drivers to take part in endurance races.

Maybe not GT6, but I would like to see an off-road race game wrapped in a GT package. Lots of Rally, Trophy Trucks, Buggies, heck even Monster Trucks. They could include Sprint and dirt track Stock car racing.

I'm excited just thinking about it.

All premium cars.
More kart racing...kart is the beginning of everything...
Porsche!!!!!
Car paint preview.
If your car broke, you have to pay to fix it.
Qualifying before the race.
Mirrors adjust.
More A-spec races!!!

GT6 will be a typical "second on platform" gt title. and for thats i want only what i'll get anways:
- all cars premium
- 200 new cars (maybe really new like porsches, but wouldnt be mad if they bring back some old and update to '11 and '12)
- more races
- less bugs (hopefully)

what would be great but what i dont expect:
- race mods for most of the cars (do you remember the times you bought a supra to upgrate it to an "GTR Car"? wasnt that great? i dont want to buy a supra gtr from start. i want to upgrate it!
-more tuning (aero)
- real track editor! (more options)

would be enough for me to buy it.

edit:
- maybe seeing the "damage" in home.
- paint as much as i like
- qualifing ect.

but i hope this we'll get with updates in gt5 ;D

The complete game on the schedule date... But is not going to happen...

I'd like to see PD get wise to online.

Make GT an MMO with events, race calenders and merchants. This solves the AI issue and A-spec basically being a box ticking simulator.

Tie it in with Home.

It would need a livery editor, proper car customisation and tuning to work though.

Kaz has said he would love to create a mode where you drive around normal towns and such obeying traffic regulations this sounds like the perfect foundation for an online community/MMO type game.

Imagine being scheduled to attend a car meet at Silverstone. You have to drive there from your garage, when you get there you can walk about the pits in a Home type environment chatting with the other players and a bunch of races and events with proper regulated car limitations.

Mechanical damge and such from the start. By the time I hit level 40 I will be done with the game, I don't want to be only then getting features that were promised to me at the start.

This was debunked a week or two after release. You get what you get...there are no "features" that get unlocked as you level up; just challenges, tracks, etc..

In other words, the damage model is just as lame at level 40 as it is at level 15. :)

This is a GT5 forum not a GT6 forum I dont even understand why mods keep thread like that active.

OK, I put it here since there's no forum for GT6. Here's what I want:
More cars (including unusual cars like Model T, Nike, Smart, etc)
****NEW MANUFACTURERS****:
Porsche, Venturi, Plymouth, Oldsmobile, Jeep, Hummer, Cadillac, Bentley, Saab, Smart, Lada, Laraki+everything from GT4. I don't care if it's standard, premium or whatever I just want the damn cars.
Majority of prize cars ***NOT*** purchasable.
More F1 cars.
Real race karts.
Motorbikes.
****MORE TRACKS****
Spa, Gotland, Piazza, Pikes Peak, Special Stages at DAYTIME, Eiger Norwand FULL, a few other tracks+everything from previous games (or GT4 at least).
B-Spec only required for 1 championship instead of half the game. (I'D RATHER HAVE 1/2 THE GAME DEVOTED TO NASCAR RACING ON OVALS THAN NO RACING AT ALL).
****CAREER MODE AT LEAST AS LARGE AS GT4 WITH AT LEAST 16 ENDUROS**** including:
Real F1 championship & endurance
Daytona enduro
Rally enduro
Kei enduro (muahahahaha)
Electric car championship
Pre-1900 car championship
Nike championship
Stealth car championship
Indianapolis CAR championship
Tourist trophy (with actual motorbikes) championship&enduro
+more
More than 60 license tests.
****LICENSES ACTUALLY REQUIRED FOR RACES****
Machine tests
Drift trials in GT mode (a bit NFSish but still adds to the game)
More course maker options
More 24-hr enduros
Enduro championships.
Prize car carousel
The ability to win prize cars multiple times.
More:
Drag racing
Prize cars for trophies

off the top of my head...

More tracks
All cars accessible for online game (specific cars for online to be chosen by host)
less grind
better physics? (It seems the game is too much 'forgiving' when I am on the edge)
password-protected online race rooms
online AI to fill out race grid
bonnet view

- Quality. Not quantity. I couldn't give a damn about 70% of the +1000 cars in GT5. The 20 odd cars that I really like are riddled with glitches and bugs.

- A logical XP/Cr system.

- A user friendly menu system.

- Ability to buy paint. Screw fancy licensed paint names. Keep it simple, if it's silver, call it silver.

- Ability to RM all premium cars (roll cage, tune parts, etc.).

- Full playback control in replay mode.

- Real camera views in real tracks. Fly by views are fun. But an additional realistic option would be great.

- More freedom in customising cockpit view (e.g. ability to sit lower/higher, disabling/editing head shake effect etc.).

- Ability to use your trained b Spec drivers in a Spec endurance. D'oh! I thought that was the whole point until I unlocked the stupid thing at lvl25!!

- Ability to save progress in endurance mode.

A constant 60FPS with no screen tearing also higher resolution shadows.
That's all I wantt from GT6 as it is these that are ruining this game for me.
Everytime I think it looks real, the unlocked v-sync and dodgy framerate pluck me back to reality.
PD really need to look at what other racing games are doing ad learn something, sorry but PD are no longer the definitive racing game developers.

just give me more tracks and events and I'm happy

I know... I'm easaly satisfied :sly:

Just had a thought of what might have been nice in GT5:
Boost controller on the go- going into an endurance event knowing you could change the power your cars putting out would be good, make it more of a close race/ have more power at the end if you made it too close.

The fact that you are complaining about a feature that you have never tried makes you a kid... regardless of age ;)

I'm sure you could, and you may not like it, but at leat try it before making a decision :)

Why should I try it? I didn't buy GT5 for game play, I bought it because it is a driving/racing sim. I know what I need to know about B-spec, I don't get to drive the cars which is the thing I want to do when I throw GT5 in my PS3, considering I do not get much time to enjoy a racing sim why would I want to waste this limited time not driving?

I don't care that B-spec is included, I just think it should be separate considering there are people who buy GT because it is a driving simulator who are not interested in playing a race manager game.

And the car tuning options I feel like its for a 5yr old child.

I think they should keep this options we have now for the people that do not know anything about cars and give us the gear heads option to pick what

Different compression ratios
Different crank size
+ OR - Engine bore
Different cams that perform over different rpm ranges
Injector sizes
Intake size ( including throttle body size)
Exhaust size
Fuel pumps
Fuel rails
Different turbo sizes ( piping size for intercooler too)
Pick what type of rods

And there's a lot more stuff to list but i think you guys get the gist of things

A dyno would be needed to check out your builds though if where going to get all of this because now there would one car with multiple builds to your liking

Air fuel and turbo psi would be the only two adjustable things on the dyno

And to solve the gearing issue use

They are 3 options for the gearbox

Gear box 1: None customizable just a tight 6 speed gearbox

Gear box 2: Only the final Gear is adjustable

Gear box 3: All gears are fully customizable.

This is what i wanna see in GT5 but i know it wont happen but in GT6 this is how it should go down

Edit: I posted this in another forum and thought this would be the right place to put it

ONLY thing I want is a race that feels challenging.

licenses are challenging, getting a specific time is challenging, the only seasonal events were challenging, but none of those are races.

I want a grid start, or a (close together) rolling start RACE, with bhp restrictions, tyre restrictions, etc, where I'm actually challenged by the AI (without rubber band/boost).

Until they can do that, the races are just incredibly boring. As with all GT games, I've found I either lose, or I win by ages (and end up having to do hotlaps to stay interested).

They've got great physics, great car modeling, and a good (but could be better) tuning range. Now just work on the AI to make single player more interesting.

- Get rid of levelling or atleast make it less tedious.

- Qualifying

- Brands Hatch, Macau, Spa, Silverstone, Donnington Park and Knockhill

- No Cape Ring

- The return of GT4 Tracks that didnt make it into GT5

- Skoda's and Saab's

- All Cars Premium, No standards please.

- BTCC, WTCC licensed Cars :)

- More updated Garages

- A better variety of European, American and Aussie Cars,

A true simulator
-No unlocking things or credits for online and arcade

-Real units in set up menus

-ABS, etc, dependent on the car actually having them (but you can modify all cars)

-Full damage, crash bad and the race is over

-Forza 3 customization at the least

-More extensive tuning, instead of weight reduction going to ~75% of original, you should be able to take any car down to race car weight levels or lower, and specify the center of mass, etc. Not just for weight reduction though. This would be great for aerodynamics and ECU.

-No permanent tuning

-Race Series tuning, ie, the ability to tune a car to a certain race specification (ALMS GT1)

-The ability to create your own race specifications for the above

That's already a flaw in what you want.
If you want a true sim, then when you bore out a cylinder, there is no going back unless you buy a brand new engine block.

What do you want out of GT6...?

That it NOT appear until what we wanted out of GT5 in the FIRST PLACE gets patched in.

Much of what is missing from GT5, and is ruining the game for many, is simply stuff that was in GT4 and GT5p. LOTS more events. Easier matchmaking. An event generator. LOTS more events. Detunable cars. Better tuning options. LOTS more events. Etc., etc..

That we might have to PAY for GT6 to get the return of what we had ALREADY payed for in previous game is highway robbery, no less.

A sim isn't a second virtual reality. The sim is a driving sim. That's what I want it to simulate. Not owning a car, not maintaining a car, not being a racing prodigy, not paying deposits on soda cans.

To be a racing game where i get to do the driving instead of a game that does over 50% of the driving for me.

didnt GT1-3 have license reqs for some races?

Yes and I thought GT4 did as well.

As for the GT6
1. More Premium Cars, real world tracks and actual races in game.
2. More wheels/parts/tuning options and different levels of Race Modification.
3. No more Bob Racing
4. Can Am & Trans Series (this should be my number 1)
