What does the "share with friends" option do?

Other then showcase your cars in your profile and your driver what does it do? is it glitchy? I recall someone saying the fucntion can lose there car if the servers go bad...any truth to this?

Nothing.

You won't lose your car if the servers go bad. The servers went bad the other day and stuff set to online got wiped, but the offline versions remained.

You share it, like facebook, meaning anything you 'share' will be displayed on your profile when your friends click on it.

I have 5 cars 'shared' , 1 track 'shared' about 8 photos 'shared' , 1 b-spec bob 'shared' so yeah, nothing looses if you disconnect. Its to show your friends your most prized cars

edit : also your friends can only view your cars, they cannot drive it, or anyway interact with it. Its just for showing purposes

Yeah, I had set 5 or 6 of my favorite cars to "Share with Friends" and when the servers were down this past Saturday I was unable to use my shared cars. I wasn't happy about it either because I needed to use 1 or 2 of those cars.

There is no real point to share the car other than no one being able to use it. From now on I will only share photos of the car!

It would have been a better feature if this function allowed a friend to check out and use the car for an event. That way you wouldn't need to gift the car and hope to get it back if you weren't planning to giving the car away.
