What does the update 2.12 have?

Just clicked on GT Auto, been sitting on the GT logo for a good 3-4 minutes as of typing this. Not signed in. My Internet was being iffy and would often make my game freeze so I signed out. Only wanted to give a car an oil changed.

I had a friend able to 'install' weight reduction on race cars. I wonder if that will stay.

Well I've just heard in one of the other Update threads that the tuning parts are unaffected. I never used them so I can't confirm. But the tires are still on cars, and Turbos and Engines (maybe weight too, I don't know) are still on cars. Don't know if they can be added now, if they hadn't already been, but I don't know and can't say.

I modified a couple of my cars to accommodate a nine speed transmission, would they revert back to the stock gearing or would it stay like other tuning parts?

Just now? Well load it in game and see.

If made before, all transmission swaps were removed. I don't know about "upgrades" though.

I would but it's nearly time for bed. I think in some cases I just went in and gave the stock gearbox nine gears (no transmission swap), so my question is would it still be a nine speed or would it revert back to the stock settings.

That's what a lot of people would like to find out: if changes made after the update will stick.

But I think you're referring to changes made before the update.

Can i say that i had 3 hacked cars and 2 of them were reverted back to legit horsepower except i have a Honda NSX that still has 15,000+ horsepower and works online...

I don't see 'hybrid's' ever being allowed in any version of the game due to licensing issues.
It is entirely possible due to the popularity of this hack and the fact it is already in other games that GT6 may have a more limited version of this such as engine swap, maybe other things too but importantly all from the same house/manufacturer. So BMW may be swapped for a bigger BMW engine or maybe a Alpina engine for instance. Not a Mercedes or rival engine manufacturer though.

It was fun while it lasted. Revived my waning interest in the game. Like someone mentioned above, I raced nothing but hybrids online in open lobbies the last month. Other than the odd exhaust note, no one knew any different. Back to the same boring handful of cars dominating every race:tdown:

Mitsubishi
If somebody is, lets say, sitting on 4,000,000,000CR.
And they update.

Will that reset?

I wonder why you're asking...... probably...

Why didnt you just buy ALL the cars then do a race/ sell a car to revert back to 20,000,000

And just one last thing.

Paints. Do those reset as well?

Like since I have around 70 of gold, silver chrome.

Thanks, :)

Paints don't reset. I still have 500 gold & silver chrome. 200 of all Matte colors.

Hi

I think the update is only banning hybrids. I think they should have just banned them for use online. I don't see what harm they are off line.

EXACTLY! And they could have done exactly what 2.12 does without subjecting everyone to a patch. If you use a hybrid online, it screws it.

But that would have meant the customers are allies, but apparently we are adversaries. Definitely not a good position to take with the people paying the bills.

From what I see. It seems to be some data added to find and replace Data that have been edited. Maybe hackers can find some loophole in this? Like deleting that data or putting it offline?

Then you'd need a jbps3. Which will most likely get banned as soon as you go online though.

Finally all the accusations of cheating will be gone. And a certain few unfairly running at the front will be sorted out also. It's sad to see the wingless and wider stanced cars go. But good update in my opinion.

Bit melodramatic, at least all they've done is take off the illicit mods. If they'd taken punitive action, then you may have had a point.

But what happened with the body change?
I use a S.Vettel X1 to get the 5G and Japan flag color, and both got stock, even their names appears like 5G or Japan flag color when I choose them (even in online rooms) if I update gt5, Will they be gone?

I just went online with my 787B sounding RX7....

And it sounded like a normal RX7 even though it had the 787 sound when I "changed cars"

Has anyone else been able to get online with a modded exhaust sound?

I guess I can understand getting rid of the hacked cars, too many idiots in stupid insane amount of hp cars ruining a lot of rooms. What I don't agree with, is why me and my friends can no longer drag in one of our own lounges away from the lobby, where we also set limits to our cars. And if we ever, ever made a room in the lobby, it was not only labeled Hack so there was no question about it, but controlled by Hp and drivetrain to keep the idiots out. You'd be surprised by how many people joined the rooms, were in shock and awe with what we could do with a car that only had 1479hp, and how many of those people said they've been looking for a controlled room like that to get away from the idiots. We've controlled something that was out of control, yet still get the shaft. I get it, we crossed the line when we did what we did, but we were smart enough to not become the majority ruining rooms.
