WHy do they list the DFGT as releasing at the end of october when it's been out for years?
Why not announce it as new shipment instead of making people think it's a brand new wheel?

Re-release maybe? I remember there was some article few weeks ago announcing this wheel, even if it is on the market for years, but who knows where is the truth.

I'll get the standard version since I'll get the game in a PS3 bundle.
Unless there's a bundle with the CE...

Any news about Europian GT5 bundle? It's Collectors Edition or Standard? Thanks! :)

Standard for me.
I'm not too thrilled about the chrome line cars. At least not considering the price difference.
And ultimately i know only the in game content is going to make a difference to me, don't care that much about the books.

Yes, I am a simple man.

I was very, very tempted to buy the collectors edition, but decided to go with the standard. That apex book though, very tempting.

The article was made by a clueless website and then another website ran with it. The wheel is old and it does sound to me like they're trying to make it look new for those who don't know better.

Already bought the Collector's Edition. I think I'm going to put all my Gran Turismo game cases on a shelf and try to make a display out of them, the Collector's Edtition would make it look really nice.

Amazon.de (germany) still does not list any GT5 edition for preorder...

What could be the reason ?

I first thought of buying the signature (180 euro), then the Collectors (80 euro). But I will buy the standard version (44 euro) because I just bought a G27.

I've ordered the collectors edition. I'm not willing to pay that much for the ultimate edition and the main extra I want is the book which you get in the collectors edition too.

I have already preordered the Signature edition :)

Money is a bit tight right now so I decided to go with the standard edition and i'm okay with that overall. There is some really cool stuff in the collectors edition but I can live without it. I'm sure all of that stuff will be split up and sold on ebay eventually anyways.

I've already pre-ordered the Signature Edition. I was gonna just stick with the standard edition but I came into some money, so I treated myself >_>

I'll be getting the collectors edition - £150 is just too much for a single game (édition ultime).

Collectors since the US doesn't get the Ultimate one :P

As a Gran Turismo fanatic, I still prefer the Standard Edition. This is like asking this alternative question: buy tickets to one game, or buy season tickets? It would depend on how much of a fan you are to something. If you're willing to pay more than you have to in showing your love for something, you would get the best package to fulfill your fandom no matter how much it costs. Being the old-fashioned person I am, I'm intrigued by a Collector's Edition or the Ultimate Edition, but I'd rather get the Standard Version. All I care about is getting Gran Turismo 5. I do love the extra things you get with the other packages in addition to a copy of GT5, but I wouldn't want to waste more money than I'd like to just to get my hands on GT5.

Therefore, tab me for "Standard Edition."

I already have plenty of books thanks. [x]
I have model cars already. [x]
I have a USB memory stick. [x]
I have GT5. [ ]

Which leaves me with the Standard Edition.

Bought a Force GT Steering Wheel with the money I would have spent on other editions other than the standard Edition, so I will be happy enough with just the game. I wont have time to read a book/play with Toy Car/use usb!

Im a sucker for having something that is limited. I buy into that all the time, but with games I dont really get that urge. They usually come with cheap junk that I see as just clutter that I dont need, books that are fun to look at once, behind the scenes that always ends up on youtube or torrent sites.

I stopped buying videogame CEs years ago. I just want to play the game. All of that other stuff is just junk to me. There is no way you can spend $100 on a videogame and get anything of any real value in addition.

Pre=ordered the Sig Edition yesterday from JB HiFi...looks like they have a few left available, whereas EB games were out of them...

Well, one of the reasons I'm getting CE is because GT5 is very big and special release on the PS3 that people have been looking forward to for a long time. I also want to put the model car in my room and I'm also interested in the Apex book.

But if GT6 doesn't take as long to make as GT5 like Kaz claimed, then I would get just the regular version of that if it's not the only version available.

Already ordered the CE. It wasn't THAT much more expensive than the standard edition, so I said why not :)

Didn't really want to drop $130 for a game, but since I've been waiting for GT5 for a while, I pre-ordered the CE.

cheap and cheerful standard edition.

I was originally planning to get the SE for collection only (never open) and the CE to open and play around with, but I got in a car accident soo.. I'm stuck with the standard. :(

I want the $130 model car, to go with my extinsive collection that includes two skylines

Collectors Edition
