You should've seen my 7th grade Social Study teacher, he would get WAY off topic for half the class. One time we started talking about the Roman empire and ended talking about flamethrowers and ghilli suits.

Heh, My 7th grade social study did the same thing too! He would always go off topic and talk about random stuff or about his life! xD

Talking about teachers going off topic, I have had a History teacher who did the same, going off topic - he should've been teaching about how the Japanese invade Tanah Melayu (Malaysia) and ended up talking about his tough younger life back then with his father and such. So 50% of the class we were taught about his life and another 50% on the syllabus. Still though, you could always extract something from his story and sometimes it's kind of enjoyable to listen to...

He only taught us for 2 months and moved on to be a School Principal. Now he's currently the best Principal ever! :D

It's ok. Social studies is the least useful class you will ever take.

Which cares about who the first president/king/etc of (insert country that isn't yours here)? It means nothing to me.

I love teachers like that. My AP environmental geoscience (don't ask, required course) class always tries to get our teacher off topic. Usually works for 10 minutes.

I don't even know about Dennis Ritchie either. Rest In Peace mate, from what I've just seen, you've invented a whole lot of things. And yes, it is sad that people and media seem to just be overreacting with the loss of Steve Jobs. It's a shame because still, the late Dennis is off the same family of technology and computing too!

I work at a grocery store, been so for almost 12 years.I've done it all...Stocker,bagger,Front End manager,Resets,Produce, price changes you name it.

Today though was a bit different. This cashier that has been there for the longest time had a problem with a price change(again). She called me over the intercom.I was like, seriously again?!(She does this all the time)Got up there and it was the same thing, she was acting all bossy towards me(like always) and i couldn't take it anymore.I pretty much flipped out and walked away.

Later i took her to the side, and i always tell her this, but this time i cursed/cussed(however you guys take it).I said listen here, the next time this 🤬 doesn't ring up right, leave me a 🤬 note on my desk and i will fix it.Not sure if it will get into to her thick skull, but i let her know my displeasure in how she is always,i mean always bugging me.I think she just does it to get on my nerves.

Any of you guys have to deal with this sort of crap?If you work at a grocery store or a Wal-mart type store there is always this 1 person there who is like this. You guys know who i'm talking about.

People that remake old tv shows...

Like.. The Hawaii Five-O? Well, the old one was good. The remake isn't as good as the original but just awesome to watch. So I guess I won't have to grind my gears for it.

However, today something really grinds my gears badly. People not aswering calls. I called my friend to confirm today's tuition class and after numerous attempts, he didn't answer it. Now I text him and no reply either... I have to confirm this thing and he's just making things harder than it is already

Agreed. You should know your own countries history but I really doubt I'll need to know anything about Britains first king or something to that effect.

Yea as long as they don't talk about something more boring than the actual lesson which isn't often. My American Lit teacher I have usually gets off topic a lot, people always try to keep it going as long as possible.

Like the Looney Tunes. Classic is great, new is stupid.

I'm not usually that bothered about remakes, we all know they're going to do it and some are even pretty good. However, a couple have wound me up a bit - The Italian Job - they could never improve on that and Conan... CONAN, really?! There are some things that truly are sacred. ;)

The fact that Pandora allows only 30 hours of music a month if.you don't upgrade to the Pandora One thing, and I just left it on accidentally all night on my phone. *FACEPALM*.

Currently grinding my gears.......me.

I'm having an 'I hate Sean' day after spending all day yesterday abusing myself with alcohol, got so drunk I flash my bits at a colleague while said person was taking a picture. My parts are now immortalised on film. (Apparently) fell over which explains the whiplash. Gave Mrs Shem the frowns because I came home at some ungodly hour smash out of my gourd.

On top of that my lack of motivation and low mood is increasing my 'I hate Sean' campaign. Meds are good but don't work when I drink. Could barely summon the energy to post the last few days and just spend all day browsing through threads without wanting to comment or throw in my $.02, which is highly unlike me.

So it's bye bye civilisation for a while. I'll be back when I've conquered alcoholism.

Good luck sir. Hopefully you have a quick and speedy recovery.

Sounds bad, man. Hope things pick up for you as I know the 'alcohol that picks me up only lets me down more' cycle is hard to crack. Somebody who was very close to me had the same problem - meds and booze (plus more) - and only having therapy helped to tame it. I would say cure but... well, you know. Someone to talk to, PMA and a strong will goes a long way. :)

In the meantime, do you have any 'I hate Sean' t-shirts in medium? :sly:

I would pay for shipping...

I'm sorry, I don't ship outside of the UK mainland. ;)

I'm UK, can I have one?
Anyway, homework grinds my gears. We got more than we should've today, all due in tomorrow, and I had stupid CCF after school, so I have a couple of hours of homework this evening. So bye bye GTP.

Same thing happens in my American lit course. My teachers this year are pretty cool, so they have some funny stories.

People who make those annoying gasps of air when they laugh.... some girl in my class naturally laughs like that and it was getting on my nerves..
