Growth spurt. I have been hungry for the past two days, no matter how much I eat. I blew tons of my lunch account away today and yesterday, I'm sore, and I feel uncoordinated and weird. I am somewhat glad though, as I need to grow. I'm 15, but only 5'3". :eek:

I feel the same at the moment, only I'm 14, and about 5'7". But the hunger is the worst.

Don't worry buddy, I'm practically at the same point as you. Except I'm an inch taller. :sly: I can not find food to supply me properly, but I'm making it through so I guess I'm fine. :lol:

Stella is a decent quality beer up there with 1664 or Peroni. Just because it's referred to as 'wife beater' doesn't mean it's a chav beer.

I know more chavs that drink Fosters or Carlsberg because they can't afford the 'Nelson'.

No. no it isn't. It's awful, chemical filled fizzy crap. It tastes like it's already been drunk and gives the worst hangovers. It's quite telling that you'd struggle to find out on sale in a pub in Belgium...
 
I quite like it. I'd prefer a Sapporo or Becks, but in the corner shop war it's better than Foster's, Carling and Bud.
 
What grinds my gears? The UK border agency. My girlfriend and I are thinking of getting married in Japan early in the new year then applying for a marriage visa so she can stay with me.

Today, I found out that we must also show we have enough money to support ourselves for 27 months. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬


This is a ridiculous amount. I was born here. I can trace my family back for hundreds and hundreds of years, but I need to jump through a hurdle like this? When homeless people from an eu member country can claim benefits here.

It's totally unreasonable to expect of a couple in their mid 20s to have that much money. I don't know whether to scream at my MP, or just apply to live elsewhere. The UK government is a 🤬 joke. This may be achievable by couples in their thirties or forties, but this is a joke.

Not so. They ask for evidence. I'm aware that was a joke btw. As I stated in the "do you like your country?" thread, I have decided to leave the uk again. It may take months or years of preparation, but this time I won't be back.

This country has gone to the dogs.

I'm a bit shorter than you, but 13. Already taller than my mum, and my grandparents on her side.

Stupid, disrespectful, noisy, teenagers. Started laughing about the holocaust, and how it's so funny that loads of people were killed...

I'm with you on that one Ryan. Someone at my school thought it was funny that people were burned alive in their cars in that terrible M5 incident. What society is these days is disgusts me. 👎

How do you provide evidence? Anything could happen in 29 months. You could lose your job, you could be promoted, you could win the lottery, we might be all dead from an alien invasion. The British government is going down the pan.

I know. As for evidence, you need to show you have a certain amount per month for 27 months in the bank. Whereas, my girlfriend is from Japan, the requirements for me to go there are much more realistic. And that includes me having to learn Japanese. We were thinking of moving back to Canada and going for the permanent residence. We both qualify for American greencards, but only if we can get "acceptable" jobs. Failing that, we can learn German.

I love every single thing about that beer, the can is insanely awesome, the taste is amazing and the sheer quantity 👍

I have a similar issue.

Heading to the UK in Jan for a holiday with Mrs Shem requires so many forms and forms of proof it's incredible. For a visa for 3 weeks she needs -

- $10,000+ in the bank (luckily we're not poor)
- All forms of I.D possible
- Detailed itinerary
- Sponsor in the UK
- Hotel / accommodation plans
- Flight numbers (haven't even booked a flight!)
- Assortment of other crap to prove she's not going to go AWOL in the UK and become an illegal.

That's just for the visa I'll remind you. The fact she's Thai makes it a bit easier because her country have no problems letting her travel, unlike China who needed my step-mother to actually possess millions in assets before she could go to the UK (luckily she's mega rich).

On top of that rant here's today's grinder of the gears.

Panic attack, mid-class. Won't go into details but let's just say it wasn't pretty. I'll post about it once I'm fully over it.
 
Bit of an odd time to come to England for a holiday. It'll be cold and rain- oh wait it always is. :lol:
 
^Mrs Shem wants to see snow, she may have a chance in Jan - Feb, plus we had to plan around our schedules.

Shem have you seen all the issues that UK border control are going through at the moment. It's a joke that they make you jump through hoops like that when families are just walking in without anyone counting how many kids they're bringing! :banghead:
 
What grinds my gears today is having to repeat myself.

No teacher I don't wanna repeat myself, I hate even speaking up, it's not my fault my voice is so deep >.<

Same. Thankfully I don't have those idiots at my school. I have the idiots that think that they can pull the trigger and be done. Or that you can solve your problems by "blowing their heads off." It really is a shame.

What Grinds my Gears? My "friend". He complains that my mom isn't picking us up perfectly on time. Guess what, she has a JOB, something you won't have! Then he expects the trunk to open automatically on a lightweight sportscar. Seriously? How lazy has this generation become?
 
Why does any car have an automatically opening bootlid anyway? You've still got to go to the boot to put something in or take something out. Lazy a** Americans, why don't you just get a car that drives it self and be done with it?

My 2000 Escort never had that feature. Though that's what I love about my 2003 Malibu and all I have to do is press a button in my car(cheap model) and I hear my boot opening. Sorry to grind your gears but it's just a nice feature. I'd never trust my car to drive on it's own though!
