What currently Grinds my Gears is my family always falling out with each other over stupid things, like my mother and aunty arguing over something that literally is none of their business!

Flipping women.

Sounds like my family. I know what you're talking about.

All the analysts for Yahoo! Sports say the Dolphins will beat the Redskins. WTH are they on?

I would comment, but that sounds like American Football and I'd just look like an idiot, considering I still don't understand the sport.

What annoyed me today was the pin that held the poppy onto my jacket. I kept poking myself on it every time I go to adjust my jacket. I got some odd looks from classmates as I suddenly yell and expletive and start sucking my thumb. :grumpy:

The Redskins record is 3-5 (wins-losses), the Dolphins are 1-7 (wins-losses). How can it be a general consensus that the team that's even worse will win? That's absolute bull:censored:.

Yeah, I poke my self too.

The kids at school who are disrespectful to our nations veterans. It is Veterans Day in the U.S.A. today and our school held an assembly to honor the Veterans, and there were several Vets at the assembly. Kids just kept talking when they were announcing their names, branch of service, etc, and it was so disrespectful.

If only they realized how important it is to honor those who protect us and keep this country free.

We did the same thing, but Im happy to say that everyone was silent and respectful.

I love how we're in opposite boroughs lol.

I would say what has been grinding my gears right here but I will prohibit myself from law by saying it, for fear of protest against me. :sly:

Why does any car have an automatically opening bootlid anyway? You've still got to go to the boot to put something in or take something out. Lazy a** Americans, why don't you just get a car that drives it self and be done with it?

I couldn't agree more. One of the reasons I don't like most kids my age is because they are so 🤬 lazy! They do not want to put effort into anything, except ppssobly sports, and the way things are done around here, whether school or at work, is just inefficient, but who's going to listen to a 15 year old?

What else is grinding my gears is the same topic as previously mentioned. Nearly every kid in my grade is either spoiled, disrespectful, extremely cocky, or stuck up. It really has been getting to me. I don't show how I feel often, so some kid was telling me I was a dick because I don't talk much, while he throws thigs at people, yells profanity for no reason, and things like that. I just don't get it. In english, we're reading 'Farenheit 451' by Ray Bradbury, and its about laziness and ignorance due to technology in the future (it was written in the 1950s) and he is spot on. Sad, really, that I could easily see our society being brought down to morals and concern for one another as low as represented in this book.

I had the riots while on HOLIDAY. I would have had no exact idea what could have happened :grumpy: And to be precise it's West Wickham.

I should be silent about this people are nearby o_o

I'd just like to say that what's NOT grinding my gears is reading your two posts. It's nice to see young people who appreciate the sacrifices made in the past, and those still being made today.

My great-grandfather never came home from the Somme, and my grandfather left most of his left leg on the beach at Dunkirk, so the two minutes silence for me today was very important. I'm glad to say it was observed impeccably at work.

Our Rememberance Day ceremony at school went well. Singing the Canadian anthem with classmates and veterans was an honour. What grinds my gears? The GT5 section. Say one thing about how one user's response just confirms the general stereotype of Americans in a polite manner, then give a appropriate response to the question asked in the thread, and you get labelled a troll. its a joke.

You forgot the grammar lesson. :sly:

@mattythedog: Yes, apparently a person with 84% in academic English is incapable of writing proper sentences with correct grammar. Make one mistake, and the Grammar Nazis try to police you. :grumpy: I wonder if it is possible to make a post so incredibly illegible, that someone's head would explode.

Wait you guys have school? My nephews didn't.

Schools in Ontario and probably all of Canada have classes today... because it's not really a "holiday"..

The little :censored:ers in my tutor decided to pull faces at each other, leading to giggling and 'funny' noises. Also, practically no one was wearing a poppy.

The fact that I can't get a clear answer anywhere on the internet as to how loud the (3rd gen) iPod Touch is capable of playing through headphones/earbuds is grinding my gears. I want to make sure I don't damage my hearing if I listen to it nearly all the way up while I'm in a noisy place.

Wow... You are very much correct. The problem is technology. I know people that are too lazy just to get themselves a drink from the fridge. They're not injured, they can do it. But no they try and make someone else do it. Everyone is also so disrespectful, I feel ashamed to be my age because whenever you go out in public. Every shop worker eyes you down thinking you're going to steal, it's horrible. I've never stolen anything, "tagged" anything, or hit someone in public. But they can't trust me if I say that because of other stupid teenagers.

And with the passionless people, it's the same here. No one has passion for anything other than sport, and maybe 2 or 3 people in Art or Music. It's annoying.

See, I feel the same. I hate going out in public with my girlfriend, because every other kid my age just makes out in public, so people try to avoid us. Thankfully she agrees nothing like that in public, the most is a quick little kiss. When we went to the mall, though, everyone was watching us in the stores. At the dollar general that I go to for food in my town, workers will literally follow me and my friends until we leave, sometimes if we sit outside in the parking lot on our bikes to eat, they will yell for us to leave because they think we're going to steal some of the stuff they have outside near the windows. It's not just adults that are quick to judge, even though they have the benefit of the doubt, but kids too. To everyone in my school, I'm a huge pothead who loves to party and get high. That isn't me at all, but I wear flannels and jeans, and listen to old rock and metal, and watch old movies, and play guitar, so on and so on, so they judge and talk about me before they ever meet me. It really sucks.

^You sound like me.

What grinds my gears? My school. The kids mostly talked about how it was 11/11/11, and the school did nothing to recognize that it was Veteran's Day. No respect what's so ever.

Glad you brought that up. Music has been the best thing happen to me. I have so passion for drumming. I love to write it, hear, play it, it's music. The only "music" people my age seem like is the fake kind with computers making the sounds, and there only passions seem tto be to smoke pot, because you can't walk 20 feet in my school without seeing, hearing, or smelling something related to weed. We are all too young to do it. I hate it, and for the most part, I am disappointed in my generation.

Agree with it all. The teenagers are jerks, for the most part, and the music is soulless. Hence my devotion to classic rock.

I used to be passionate for guitar, but then my friend turned into a huge pothead and never wanted to play drums with me, just to jam. Same happened to my friend who played guitar, and another that played bass. That was in 7th-8th grade, 3-4 years ago. Now I have a few old elementary friends who have formed two seperate bands that play small gigs in 10th grade, mostly thrash metal. It just destroys me inside to know I could be doing the same if I had friends more like me. Thanks, I feel terrible now...

Stupid teachers. Like the ones who assign you a "planner" and base most of your grade on it.

the key board on my phone. Sony can go 🤬 themselves. This is beyond a shadow of a doubt the worst on screen keyboard I've ever used. Unless I have it in landscape it randomly inserts letters that are on the opposite side of the screen.

actually, the whole touch screen is terribly innacurate. clicking the bottom of a page can hit a link at the top. Hitting the space bar can drag the task bar down from the top. this is a piece of garbage and my most regretable purchase.

And people who shout at their iPhones to text someone. Then act like I'm some kind of technophobe when I say it's(the voice recognition) a useless technology that only exists for the sake of existing and giving people something to brag about.
