I have 165 friends on facebook, but only 13 followers on Twitter. It grinds my gears, because Twitter is easier to use and better. I need more followers!

What's your twitter?

I hate Facebook with a passion. I can sit on it for about 5 minutes before wanting to punch my computer out of boredom. How can people sit on it for hours on end? Also how is Twitter? I never used it..

My iPad app does. I'll follow you Vandenal. My Twitter username is the same as this.

Hmmm I'm using Android but I have an iPod touch too so we will see if iPad and iPod application are the same.

When you have friends from all over the globe, it can be handy. I don't sit on it all the time, but I will have it open on my computer for hours at a time. I check it once when I log in, when I have any updates and maybe another time before I turn off the computer. It just runs in the background, so it may seem like I'm always on it, but I'm not.

I do the same thing.

Rant follows, beware of tl;dr!

[rant]

Well, 2011 has definitely been one of the better years for me, but recently things got worse, much worse...
I count(ed) a lot of girls from my class among my friends. That's because I consider myself a pretty helpful person and I have yet to refuse helping somebody when asked. You'd probably think "hey, that's cool, so where's the rant?" - wait for it, this is where things start to annoy me.
Now I count a girl from my class among my friends that previously had a crush on me. I made clear that I don't reflect her feelings and we have since been good friends. I treat her a bit different (read: better) than other friends of mine due to the fact that I feel kind of guilty for friend zoning her. So I help her on every occasion, life problems, school problems, tech problems.
Actually this is what my help consists of mostly: somebody has a tech / life (boyfriend, parents) / school problem, they ask me, I help. I've never considered this to be annoying or stressful, in fact I'm glad to help.
But all of this giving got me nothing in return, and that's what I'm so majorly upset about...
I'm essentially helping a lot of people, yet on more than enough occasions they treat me like I have been doing them wrong. I get the feeling these people do not think enough before speaking a sentence and do not realize how much words can insult. And I feel insulted a lot... I get silly reactions by these people for completely irrelevant, small, unimportant things, and it actually makes me feel stupid for helping them before...

Example time!

Volleyball! (Past readers of my rants may remember how much I 🤬 love this sport.)
We're playing a match. Girl in front of me is somebody I have helped with tech and also life stuff on numerous occasions. Opposing team serves the ball, she plays it and ****s up. Not a problem, it is just a game, but she shouldn't even have played that ball.
Well, guess what?
She turns around to me and says: "By the way, you do realize you should have been the one playing that ball?"

She did the presentation, and as usual we were supposed to cite our sources that were utilized to prepare and do the presentation. Now, she wouldn't have needed to cite my CD as a source... but when she finished presentation she left it lying on the teachers desk. As the CD belonged to me I asked her to bring it back. I asked once - no reply. I raised my voice a bit, she answered "yeah yeah yeah, I'll get it later". I asked her to do it right now, in case I need the CD for my presentation (I did not, but that doesn't matter right now). She stood up, rushed to the table, grabbed the CD and threw it onto my table, like "ohmygod I hope the teacher doesn't notice it's not my CD ohmygod quick".
After that lesson, the volleyball girl (see above) confronted me, loud voice and hysterical tone included: "YOU COULDN'T HAVE MADE IT MORE OBVIOUS THAT THE CD IS YOURS, COULD YOU? 🤬".

So many people are like that. Next time they need to borrow something like that you should say. Ooops, I forgot it. Then use the item in your presentation and as you walk back to your seat just look at them and smile mockingly. :sly:

People who ask me where something is and give me the "I saw it here 2 weeks ago" baloney. You know how I know it's baloney? If you saw something you wanted 2 weeks ago in a store you went to, how could you possibly not have a single clue as to where it is anymore?

Ah ok, don't know whether it'd be very useful to me but I'm pretty sure theres a free app for it though.

Edit: 600th post!

I go on it for about 20 seconds. Unless some one has messaged me or there is a notification that I actually consider worthy to look at. Which is rarely.

To all the people complaining about not getting GTPlanet premiums, it's Christmas for goodness sake. Ask your parents for the use if their card for 5 minutes rather than another present.

That would be a good idea. When my premo expires I am gong to buy lifetime. I feel I must now. :D

I'm gonna buy myself a lifetime too, after I've bought ryanb98 a year like I promised him.

You better pay up to your promise.

Anyway, my dad is annoying me. He says I am lazy and has no hobbies. And I need to do something with my time. But for one, how would he know, he's never here at home, he's working every day of the year (he only takes one day off over the Christmas period and a few others off throughout the year) and he works weekends. Nobody say, "Maybe his boss makes him work long hours," because he IS his own boss, he does it by his own choosing. When he isn't working he is talking about work, and it annoys everyone. Back on topic. He then says that, just because I'm not making a big noise like my brother or showing my stuff to everyone like my sister. I'm just not so confident due to it being brought down by the people I live with. I can't sing anymore for performances due to my brother. Nor can I even open up with anything that's hobby related because they'll find something horrible to say about and then try and put me off it. So long story short they bring my confidence down to a level as to which I can't show off what I do, and then complain that I don't do anything. How does that make sense!? It's stupid and I wish that my own blood would support me in everything I do.

And to add, they know I do have hobbies. I'm just a little more laid back on them, so that appears to mean I do nothing all day. I've spent full days writing music, also doing some design work. Then at dinner get told off for spending the day doing nothing but video games. If I try and tell him that I have been doing stuff, he just gets angry and tells me to stop lying. It continues to piss me off!!!

So infact, all the other males who live here Grind my 🤬 Gears!!!

My father won't even accept his own child for who they are. That's just wrong. Just because I'm not like the rest of the family gives no reason to act with disrespect.

Disregarding the rest of your post, I wish I had this problem as odd as it sounds. Over the past few years, I have acquired a love of cars. I have really wanted to buy an old sports car for a couple thousand dollars (of my own money) and fix it up and get it running nicely. There are a couple problems though:
1. I play high level hockey which takes up all of my time after school, on the weekends, and any time I would have to work and make money. My life is literaly school-hockey-a little bit of GT5. My dilemma is that I can't quit hockey. It is the love of my life, and the next few years is very important to my future in it.
2. My parents bought me an '08 Nissan Altima 2 door coupe for my first car. It is very nice and a great car, but as odd as it sounds I wish they had made me buy my own car. I can't just get another car that is much in much worse condition because my car is in perfect condition. My parents would definitely think something is wrong with me if I bought a second car (they would also be mad because the extra car would be "In the way" as we already have 3 cars in our garage).
3. I don't have alot of money, only about $1000 in my bank account (see the first problem) and my mom hates me spending it.
4. I don't know not much about using tools as I usually break thing when I try to fix them, and I don't know a whole lot when it comes to working on cars. But I would love to learn! But again, I have no time to try an learn.

I've found it a slight opposite. Because everyone in the thread I visit, and for that matter, many other places, have now been given Premium, I'm finding it hard to get used to. Plus, if I am correct, I might think that all of the ones from my main thread got Lifetimes. But because I got given Premium in a different way, and that's only a year...what's it gonna be when it runs out? :irked:

Hopefully later in life. Give it a few years and see where the hockey goes. No matter what eventually you'll have time to do what you want.

Granted that its the holiday seasons and inventory location changes. ( People suspect)

Is the money in your bank account yours? As in, you worked for it in a job and someone paid you for your time? (Not from family as that's never a good thing sometimes)

If you did earn the money through a job, then your mother can only have an opinion about what you are doing with the money but you do not need to abide by her. It is your money that you have worked for. So you can decide what to use it for, regardless of what anyone else thinks. You will also have to learn how to manage the money as well (which comes through doing things your way and learning what works best for you, finance-wise). Parents can only advise you with their opinions.

Huh? Is it just me, because I can't really understand that post. :dunce: Can you explain it differently?

I have learned to take precautions before going for speed runs, no more Grinding my Gears for today..

Like in real life, the pigs hide..

I would, but my parents would be all like 'what's this you've been buying' and stuff.

The fact that my PS3 likes eating discs and not spitting them out, and now refuses to connect to PSN.

TLDR version then.

I can't get used to the new influx of Premiums.

Plus a little bit on how everyone I talk with has a lifetime Premium where as I only got a year's premium because I already had Premium before everyone else.
