I hate how long it takes for full games off of the PS store to download. An hour and forty minutes and it's at 40%.
Exactly. They invited us round for some tea and cakes (no mentions of English stereotypes please) and while I was there they asked if I could fix their second controller which wasn't working. I fiddled for 10 minutes with the obvious (batteries etc.) but to no avail. I accepted defeat and flicked through the manual, and there was the answer. They hadn't synced it properly.

E28You need a super fast internet connection...
Or just a wired connection. Wi-Fi makes it a lot slower.
E28You dissin' my 40% signal strength Wi-Fi connection?![]()
Yep. Wi-Fi is pretty crap. Our Internet speed on a wired computer is around 15-20 Mb/s, while the best I can get on Wi-Fi is 8-9 Mb/s.

Someone sent me a message on the PS3 and made it freeze. When I started it back up I almost corrupted it. I sent them a "not-so-nice-message" back letting them know I was not happy...

E28It depends on the router...
It was probably a coincidence.l.
EliteDreamerI think I'm using Wi-Fi. As I'm seeing, it's saying I'm getting 54 Mbps. 'Tis good?

That's either bloody good, or you're measuring mega-bits a second, while I'm taking mega-bytes a second. Can you check what it's measuring in?
The corruption screen appears whenever you unplug the ps3. You might want to back it up, in case you already didn't.
VandenalFor a second I thought I was in the Gear Grinding thread. Then I realized this is the Slow chat thread with mattythedog and friends.
That's very quick. I'm impressed, and jealous.EliteDreamerI don't how to check, but I asked my dad, he said it is Wi-Fi (As I wasn't sure) and said it was mega bytes per second.![]()

E28I gear grinded on the last page. I'm very very sowwy.
The fact that my friend has disregarded all advice and despite having enough money to wait a few months and buy a 32gb iPad 3, he runs out and buys a 16gb iPad 2...

EliteDreamerThink about this oh so under-used quote: "Quality, not quantity"![]()
But he is saying "why do people cook them?". Presumably he means someone he knows (mother, father, a friend?) cooked some good food and gave it to him for him to eat.
In which he would prefer a takeaway instead.
Kinda odd though, as presumably a good home cooked food is better than a takeaway that is dripping in oil and fats....
Indeed...
Anyhow, current gear grinder being how little I seem to post here. I've been at GTPlanet for just under a year and have 500 posts, where as people who joined at the same time as me have six times as many posts as me. I just seem to lurk.![]()

👍
And anyway, I lurked for around 2-3 months before I joined. And my first thread /post was nearly a month after that.
Try telling that to my History teacher, he set my class a two-page essay during the holidays![]()
E28And yet you have 14ppd?
