I was wondering why Mclaren read as banned,

I was just curious for what reason could someone possibly want a temporary ban, couldn't they just leave, and then come back when they want to? or am I missing something?

No. A plan is needed for a big car trip coming up soon. He's going to college. Remember, he graduated? So, preparing for college is taking up a lot of his time.

Also, he has a limited amount of time to spend on the internet as it is, and this time will be spent more wisely than coming here and cracking jokes and getting warnings.

He's not leaving. He'll be back for GT5P, after things have settled both in his college life and here on GTP.

Is that really the case, i find it hard to believe that someone would ask for a ban because they don't think they can't control themselves, Mclaren didn't appear to be a troubled member, but then again what do I know.

He said on my forums that it's for personal reasons. He's got quite a lot going on at the moment, by the sounds of it.

I won't miss his recent incredible immaturity and vulgarity, however, or repeated abuse of the AUP.

That being said, he wasn't banned. I suspect a visit from the Drama Lama or maybe a trip in the Waaaambulance because he really felt like posting a bunch of crude and unfunny stuff in the Funny Pictures thread and didn't want to hear that he wasn't allowed to.
