What have you done to your car today?

I changed my spark plugs, and it was hell. A total of 6 and a half hours over two days. Put some MSD 8.5 wires on and NGK TR55's. Hopefully by the time I need to change them again I'll have my Long Tube headers, apparently it's easier with those.

I removed the front left axle nuts. Here's the catch, the axle and nuts were both stripped. I had to use a angle grinder and nut splitter to get them off. There goes $50!

Ideally a Datsun 1600 but I'm keeping my options open. Could be keen for an ITR as well.

OK, not entirely sure what a Datsun 1600 is, I assume it is similar to a TA70 Celica or Mitsubishi Colt Galant '70. Good luck in your search for either Datsun or Honda. 👍

...I think I'm missin something to you guy's conversations, but Datsun became Nissan, not Honda.

I would love to drive a Supra and an NSX :dopey:

I will probably wash my car tommorrow, give it a very brief interior clean, then try and wash out the grease stains the mechanics left on my carpet :grumpy: Then take an interior pic for you all to see :dopey:

Just keep the rice sound off it and I'm fine.
Good thing is, when you're old enough you could probably get a normal 1.6L Civic for you first car right?
Definately. heck, for the cars I'm lookin at I could buy 2 of those.

Never know a person's circumstances though.
For the price of my Ute I could have gotten 3-4 VL Commodores :scared:

Lol. 1 for street racing. 1 for track racing. 1 for drag racing. And 1 for daily driving.

Lol. Insurance would murder you with 4 cars though

Of course the insurance would kill, but if you drop the street racer one to be a spare parts vehicle (because street racing is uncool and illegal), you wouldn't need to insure the track racer or drag racer because anything that happens at a track is not covered by insurance anyway, you would only pay 1 insurance and 3 regos (or just buy a car trailer and only pay 1 rego). It would be do-able :sly:

True. Well that renders the nice, flat, straight, deserted 3/4 mile straight away I found...

I wanna try that.

Well your daily driver could do that too.

Yup. And I'll make it too. That or just head on down to the dragstrip that's about 3 miles from my house.

I love living near it, I can hear the cars in my backyard every Saturday:dopey:

Yesterday I waxed my front fenders and hood to see how big a difference it makes. I'm doing the rest of the car today or tomorrow. I'm going to have to take good care of the paint so it doesn't turn Milano Pink on me.

Do you get free spectator entry for living so close? I have to drive around 15-20mins for my drag strip, not far really, same distance for racing circuit.

Aye :scared: Nothing worse than a faded red paint job, lucky my car is white. :D

Stuff done today before I got hungry...

Installed some new power mirrors.

Cleaned out the mud and debris behind the tail light lenses and installed new(er) better conditioned tail light housings (I was in the middle of doing it when I took this pic.

I also used the air compressor and blew out all the dust and debris I could from the engine bay, rear hatch, and the seats.

I took my car to the dealer just to find out I need a new A/C condenser. :ouch:
Said it would be 875 with work and all included. :indiff:
Toyota Corolla '06... Makes me want to just keep going without the A/C. :sly: (like I always did before) :trouble:

More proof that Toyota's reliability is non-exsistant compared to the mid-90's and older.

Indeed, my dad says he smells coolant when he uses the heater in his '07 Corolla.

You'd like that wouldn't you?
I didn't say how it busted, I just said I needed a new one. :dunce:
Freeway + loose gravel = perfect shot to one of the many lines carrying the cooling agent. :ouch:

I wish it was poor reliability because it would be covered by the warranty. :(
