Just finished colour coding the number plate surround, did a pretty damn good job too if I do say so myself. Waiting for the lacquer to properly dry and then going to fit. Cant wait :D

Next is to colour code the door handles which im not looking forward to because its going to be really hard taking them off

I changed the transmission fluid in my car yesterday, and did an oil change on my mom's car today with some nice Havoline Synthetic :D

Well, a few things today. I just picked up a new daily driver last night. :D

I pulled off the three (yes, three) chrome hubcaps. Going to be running the black steels.

I rotated the wheels for more even wear.

I silenced the boot hinge with WD-40. Nearly locked myself in the boot in the process... :scared:

I tidied up the stereo cabling in the boot. I also vacuumed the boot, and carpet, and put things (tools, sub, amp) back in nicely.

I also set up the headunit/fade/sub the way I'd like it.

And, while the wheels were off, I removed 10 years of accumulated gravel and dirt from some of the front suspension components. I hate the way stones get stuck on those parts!

I also fixed the driver's side electric wing mirror so it now adjusts with the control. (More WD-40 used here)

And free'd up the lock so the key isn't so stiff to turn. (Again WD-40 to the rescue)

Tomorrow I think I'll address the interior and the under-bonnet. 👍

Finished colour coding the car today.
Total spent £35 and about 3 hours. Well worth it :D

Should have taken a better before pic but oh well you get the idea...

Nice work Slick Rick. I hope that paint on the door handles doesn't chip off too fast.

As for my car, I didn't get around to the under-bonnet, but I did clean the interior out. Heaps of sand in the mats for some reason. Also tidied up some of the wiring for the stereo inside the car.

I bought this yesterday for $250:

Which when installed and painted (well red anyway) looks like this:

I'm going to make the holes and then make them functional like so:

^^Awsome dude. You gotta post pics with that intalled.

I didn't do this today but did it recently. I seafoamed my car. Great excuse to take it on some back roads and rip it up.

Bypassed my leaky heater so I drive without getting asphyxiated by antifreeze fumes.

Time to go fix the Cougar. :ouch:

Cheers for the comments guys, im well chuffed at how well it turned out too....there must be a catch somewhere, it was too easy tbh:lol:

Nice finish Slick Rick. Where did the Civic badge go? Put it back.

Hahaha! I was seriously thinking about that yesterday when my friend said he thought it was a Honda Jazz :-O

I adjusted the bonnet catch on my Mini. The vibrations from the engine cause it to come loose and bonnet rides up high. A few turns with a screw driver gets it back down where it should be. 👍 Annoying though...

Stripped the last bit of sound deadener off the transmission tunnel and moved the rear drums in preparation to remove the engine/trans and do a rebuild. I'll be having a fun weekend. :)

On my beater: the locking ring that stops my hub nut from turning wasn't 100% compressed in from the split-pin, so it rattles as I drive. It's on the driver's side so I can hear it in the window. Anyway, I put a touch of glue on it to hold it in place. Hopefully it holds. :)

Today I gave the interior a couple squirts of Victoria's Secret body spray because I'm too lazy to actually clean it.

I'm not lazy. I cleaned out the interior, as well as did an oil change. Torqued some bolts on the oil pan to stop some seeping, and topped off the power steering and clutch fluids.

Still need to give the interior more of a cleaning - Shampoo the floormats, and give the seats a good wipedown with some leather cleaner. Also need to adjust the tension on the alternator belt - It's squealing when the car's cold.

What will be your next car?

Recently I put the new steering wheel in, so much more control over the car now due to the size, but I can't see the tacho well.

Today I put my car up for sale.
The 180?

Today I took the mudflaps off the beater, and cleaned out behind them. I also tried to get as much of the mud/sand out of the sill opening as I could/ I then proceeded to squirt my engine bay with water in an effort to remove the dust, dirt and leaves. I don't think I can be motivated to clean the engine bay any more than squirt a hose in there... :indiff:

I finally got around to the "spring cleaning" my car needed since we had a decent day today. Fully washed, polished & sealed the outer paint, cleaned off the floor mats, febrezed the interior, washed all the windows, thoroughly sprayed the undercarriage, changed washer fluid to some Rain-X 2-in-1 with bug remover.

How much do you charge per car? ;)
