Had some LED strip lights kicking around so I installed them onto my desk, then did some cabling tying/cleaning. Ended up pretty sweet I think.

I have serached the internet about Kate Middleton scandals, and i have also posted it on this forum :).

That is not half-height but good try. This is low profile but it's a class lower compared to the card reviewed on that site. There are no graphics cards on newegg that are low profile and a 6670.

Nice choice but I found a better one here. Though a better graphics card would be this one or this one. The ATi cards should be able to play games better than the 430/440(440 is the same but better memory specs) cards.

Decided to upgrade to FF4. First port of call was to disable addon compatibility checking so I could stick with the Dark Stratini theme which is unfortunately not being properly updated for FF4 :( Seems to work fine with compat checking off though, so all's good.

Except for FF4's tweaks to the fonts, I have no idea what Mozilla did but it's as though every single font used by FF4 is slightly different to that used by FF3. Unless it's being caused by Dark Stratini, but I don't think that's the case...

edit: turning off hardware acceleration = all is well 👍

Updated dekstop to ubuntu 11.04. Crash while updating now everything is broke. I'll probably just reformat and install when I have the time.

Kicked it again. And again and again and again and again and again. This time for this reason. I download a 15 mb file, which in my world is big for a converter from DAT to MPEG, it says it does it, but when I load the DAT file, it says it cannot load the file and cannot read it or something                                                 :mad:         :mad:

I set up a folder for desktop backgrounds, placed some in there and activated the background slide-show function of windows set to 5 minutes. So far is great.

^I've done that with some Jalopnik Wallpapers they post on their facebook page. Cool thing is you can add wallpapers to the folder and it's automatically included in your theme.

Though I set mine to change every two hours, 5 minutes is a bit short for my taste. But I've seen a PC with the slide-show set to 10 seconds before.

Hauled my desktop case down to the basement workshop and gave it a good dust removal. I've got a regulator for model airbrushing. Takes the input from a high PSI portable air compressor and drops the output. A nice stream of 2-4 PSI works wonders for getting the caked-on dust out from between heatsink fins. Dropped my temps a good 4-6 degrees.

I unknowingly updated my graphics drivers with the wrong update and caused my graphics driver to fail. Ah well, it was about time I reinstall windows 7 and I can get a free copy from my college.

Not what I've done today, but what I plan to do sometime very soon - open up my laptop, get access to the CPU fan to blow any dust out of it and stick some Arctic Silver 5 on the CPU/heatsink, assuming my particular model uses paste and not thermal pads. I've had enough of it idling at 65C and hitting 95+ under very light load (thermal safety shutoff at 100C) with the fan going full tilt.

But first I need to find the servicing manual to see what size screwdrivers I need and if it uses paste or pads...

I have mine set to 10 seconds and have hundreds of wallpapers in my folder. :)

I unscrewed this small mysterious piece of plastic from the backside of my computer, only to find out there is the integrated graphics (Radeon HD 4200) D-sub port. 💡

Backing up files from my 64GB SSD since I messed up a driver update to the graphics and will be reinstalling windows 7. I am also disabling services and processes from my laptop, 82 processes is not a good number at all, and running a malware scan on my laptop. With that done I should hopefully be only running around 50 processes when I reboot the laptop. I am also burning an iso of Windows 7 from my collage to a DVD(perfectly legal since I'm using it for school and personal use).

I also will be collecting my money for working on a HP laptop today at 1PM. Then tomorrow I will be tutoring(yes tutoring) for 2 hours to help a lady with her blog(don't blame me, she offered $50!).

Wrote around 2000 code lines in C# :S and about to write 2000 more this afternoon :S

But I kind of love it, just no tin the mood today ;)

I've just created a Skyline GT-R theme for K530, K550, K610, K618, W350, W380, W610, W660, W710, Z555, Z610 and Z710 model Sony Ericsson phones. Here's the link, and don't worry, it's free.

I got an addon for Firefox, now I can upload to imageshack without putting up with all the noisy flash ads :) Now I'm in a good mood

Arctic Silver 5 arrived, disassembled laptop in preparation for application. Now my laptop's sitting on the coffee table in around 15 pieces - I need to go get some Arcticlean tomorrow and clean the hopeless factory paste off the CPU and graphics chip before I can apply the paste and put the thing back together.

Hopefully reassembly won't be too rage-inducing and I hope it boots back up once it's all back together!

You can just use rubbing alcohol to clean the thermal paste off of the processors. No need to get a special product.

Oh yeah I forgot to include that two days ago I also organized my NES-PC's power and data cables. Has improved so much that CPU load temps are the same as the idle temps. Though the GPU seemed like it did not get better temps from the airflow changes, rather worst than before, when the cables were on top of it. The GPU idle is still normal from befor but the load temps were 117F from playing minecraft; which means the temps have increased. I also mounted my SSD drive with a 2.5" adapter for a 3.5" bay so I don't have it sitting around in my case anymore. I still have the Velcro on it(back when it was in my NES case) because it's too strong to take off and I don't want to damage the SSD.

For today I recorded a 720P video of a chipmunk that my cat was watching. I think I'm gonna upload that to Facebook. I think I'm gonna get a lot of comments from women going "Ahhh that's cute!".:)
