What improvements would you like to see in FH3?

I want to echo what VXR said above - what a treat it would be to have a Horizon game that feels like a F.Motorsport game, complete with 60 fps. Is that every going to be possible?

At least have an option for FM-style physics.

I generally want the game to have dire consequences of bad driving... like cars getting totaled if you run into a big tree, pole or house for instance... cars crashing through barriers or going off a cliff.. just to give an idea.

Realistic driving, 60 fps and the option to have sim physics.. even if it is an open road racing game, so what?

And oh yeah, really important: boost those engine sounds to make the car more audible and detail-rich like the FM games.

Environmental sounds could use a boost too like your exhaust notes bouncing off the walls and whatnot. More pronounced effects going into/coming out of tunnels. Horizon 2 is a sweet game, but there is plenty of room to imagine bigger and better things.

I was listening on headphones when I drove the RX7 and you could hear the echo as you left tunnels in that car. It must have been profound, because it was the first time I'd heard it/noticed it.

Yeah it's probably more noticeable on headphones, though the doppler effects in Horizon 2 X1 don't quite stand out as much as they did on Horizon 1, FM4 or FM5.

Sounds really need to bounce off the environment...critical immersion factor. PCARS is one game that does not do this at all and feels utterly dead as a result.

More off-road tracks, proper rally stages! It would be awesome if we could have an actual, proper (WRC-like) rally in the game world.

FH2 also felt a bit too open. The coastal roads were cool, but everywhere else felt a little drab, with few exceptions. More elevation changes and enclosed roads please! FH2 felt same-y in a lot of places because of the openness (not to mention that some point to point races became trivially easy by simply crossing a field, even in a low slung hypercar).

Lastly.... Just a design thing, but i think the map should not be square or rectangular, strictly speaking. Make it an L or even F or H shaped, so there isn't a straight like you can draw from any point to any other point on the map. FH2 already had 'no go' areas, but with this i mean more impassable areas like seas, oceans or mountains on the actual map itself.

As far as the 'no go' areas - As they were in FH2, they were awful. A very bad way to lock off parts of the map (with tiny rickety fences or even invisible walls). Remove those and make the map more 'obviously' cordoned off at those places, or don't block them at all (always wanted to drive on those hills in FH2, but can't).

Excellent! I say lock no areas on the map.. tighter races are always welcome.. and proper rallying.. oh yes! Why even have "cross country" or off-road races when you're in a supercar or RWD-specific championship anyway?

I wonder what locale they're going to have this time around. Can't wait!

Oh by the way, I read this recently (will try and find the link for you) that they're planning to introduce a third game into the Forza world which will have a 3-year development cycle. Wonder what that could be.. maybe Forza Rally? Or Forza Motorbike? Hmm....

They could introduce both of those and have a new game coming out every six months.

No, 3 years they said. I can't seem to find that link in my browser history. Should have bookmarked it.

However, here, it says they'll do one every year. (?!)

You might find these links interesting to read as well:

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06...eries-possible-as-franchise-evolves-ign-first

Either way, Forza is THE driving game to own; whether you're a car person or not! I'm going into a fit here just waiting to get my hands on F6 :D

I would rather take a full year without a forza game. Franchise fatigue is really starting to settle in. It should be FM,FH, one gap year. This would give them plenty of time to implement major features while not running the franchise into the ground, I remember getting excited for a new FM game because two years were enough to make me thirsty, now I'm kinda over it.

Probably mission structure is the most critical thing that needs looking at. There's just too much wrong and repetitive with the races... circuits, offroad and midnight club style hwy and point to point... they all have something wrong with the way they are laid out... maybe its 2nd game-itis

I actaully dont mind the festival atmosphere and "Ben" and the legion of hipster idiots... its like complaining about the dudebro shooters... this is what it is.

I strongly believe we will not see a move back to timed 4 stage rallys, its just not what the avg. fan wants nor is it 'fitting' in with the game feel or multiplayer.... you want that? go play Dirt Rally. I actually kind of like it but its not an 'inclusive shared' game mode and you know thats what Forza is.

The should probably try to move to 60fps but eh, Xbox one.

I was disappointed that there weren't more varied side missions in Horizon 2. A themed getaway around the Nice area to mimic Ronin would've been really good fun and different to the showcase races. Now I'm thinking of it, a Driver 3 style of vibe could've worked there, too.

I just hope the game doesn't steer to hard into more arcade territory. The game is arcade enough as it is already, though not full blown arcade like DC or Burn Out.

Realism.. I want to see realistic driving with believable crashes and consequences of bad driving. And less of the colorful, college-vibe arcadey stuff. Horizon 2 is great in every respect of the word, and that is an understatement.

Just don't want it to lean even more towards arcade, that's all.

60 fps..... I shall dream on!

FORZA MOTORSPORT ON MORTORCYCLES!!!?

Sorry, I had to say that. Would be a really cool idea to use though, we are very lacking in Motorcycle sims.

I for one will welcome that with open arms. I've always been a superbike nut for as long as I can remember.

I'm ALL for a motorcycle sim.

Or as Arnie would say it: "mooaah-tuuh-caeee-cullll" :D

Horizon 2 would've been the perfect time to introduce a couple of bikes. With the livery editor, you could reproduce almost any sportsbike from the last 30 years on a fairing.

- A better, more organized car list. GT made me spoiled on that. Separate by manufacturer, please.

- Houses/garages/custom homespace like FM6. The generic Horizon tent is lifeless imho.

- More cheap cars. Damn I want that VW Fox. (I love simple cars)

- Bikes would make it epic.

I agree with everything here, but as a motorcyclist, I would love a bike only Forza.

Forza Bikes would be too cool. Ride and TT are great fun, but something with the Forza suite of modes including a livery editor would be fantastic.

Yes, yes, yes. And yes. For sure :D

I'm thinking of buying a PS2 just to play TT again

Mannn.... you sparked some unforgettable memories from the PS2 days.

I used to play TT to death! For a game of that era, they had remarkably good physics... you could independently transfer your biker's weight back/forward, which made for some very interesting bike-riding.

In addition, I think TT is the ONLY bike game where the bikes actually sound really close to their real-life versions. A CBR sounded like a CBR... a GSX-R had all the audio characteristics of the actual thing. Remarkable game! Miss it to death.

Remember how I used to crank the volume way up on my stereo JVC amp... it was one of those big metallic amps with large wooden speakers.... oh man, the audio glory!

Yep, epic game  If PD made TT2 I'd buy a PS4 in a flash

That makes three of us. I loved TT. I photographed every bike in that game. I think I'm going to hook my PS2 up to my old TV and play some TT right now.

I've got to get in the loft and retrieve it. I have the box in my man cave, but it's not in there and Riding Spirits 2 is in the PS2, which is terrible in comparison.

I think I'd be hard-pressed not to get a PS4 if they resurrect both TT and GT to current-gen standards (while addressing past issues).

Been a long time since I owned a Sony console; TT and GT are reason enough to get it... racing is pretty much all I do on a console now.

Now that i've played FM6:

I would love there to be a more robust Photo Mode in FH3. Like enabling Forzavista anywhere and from there, be able to open doors, take interior shots with real-time lighting happening (where it'll go from day to night and back to day while in the interior) as well as the ability to control the lighting while in Photo Mode.

Please let us turn off the free roaming drivatar cars when in single player, because it honestly saps all the fun about driving about when they're coming around and crashing into you every 20 seconds. Though it is funny when you suddenly find one that's gotten stuck somewhere, and they've given up trying to break free, just sitting there waiting. And when you push them back to the road, they still just sit there, dead or something.

This will probably be impossible, but maybe if there's a feature in H3 where it detects your current location and using Google Earth, it will create a map based in the state/country you're in. Probably asking for too much there :)

-All the cars from FH2 & FM6(outside the race cars)
-Hardcore modus for the exact same phyiscs like FM6
-Bigger city's & longer highways
-More weather variations like snow,thunder,...
-Camera control in the cockpit
-Car dealers like test dirve
-Better road reflection(even if its for the photomode only)
-Race creator
-New wheels & body kits
-More traffic
-Driver creator
-Your own house
-Better wheels support(Force Feedback)

I would like to see realistic automatic transmissions. Maybe a shift pattern like P-R-N-D-2-1 or P-R-N-D-L, that is just me though. It kind of ruins the feel for me when I drive off in an automatic car (eg: Grand Wagoneer, Monte Carlo SS.) with complete control of all the gears.

Also if FH3 takes place in a country that drives on the left hand side of the road then it must be on the same side in game.
