there are so many cars to try out so it actually depends on how you set it up or how you push it to the limit

Fully tuned, I would go for either the Eclipse or the Prelude. The Eclipse is slightly faster.

What is the best car in GT1?

FTO LM edition basically breaks the game. Handling and cornering of this car is amazing and it breaks GT1 in a similar way to how Escudo breaks GT2 (the only difference being Escudo does it with acceleration and speed)
